just put myself back on the list, hope everyone is feeling well and thankyou for the congratulations, i will be able to keep up with this thread now as after the 8th june i have finished college forever i'm going to miss it and i'm really worried about how i'm going to be able to cope with uni and 4 children next year!

Katnkittens · 21/05/2009 22:39

Thanks for the updated list boob

I am at uni, it is hard work with 3 kids never mind 4! With good childcare and a LOT of family support you will be fine

How is everyone? Very quiet lately!

babyblue3 · 23/05/2009 04:04

Where is everyone???

Tomorrow my DD1 is having a birthday party (she will be 11 on Sunday), so I will have a house full of giggly girls! They want to play with our Wii, so that is basically the theme of the party. Tonight I am up baking her chocolate cake with pink icing that she requested... lol... tomorrow we will order the pizza. I am trying to keep this as simple as possible, since I have very limited energy these days. The baby seems to be stretching and pushing from all directions now... sigh. My ribs seem to be a comfortable spot for him... not so nice for me. On Tuesday I go for my growth scan, hopefully he is all good and hopefully he will go head down soon too.

rainbowdays · 23/05/2009 08:09

theboob - hi, great to hear from you. As Kat said, it is possible to cope at uni with 4 children, I was at uni as a mature student, and two close friends had 4 and 5 children respectively! So it can be done, not easy, but possible. In fact I think as a mature student you have the advantage of being more focussed and organised with time than a 17 or 18 year old. I know that the three of us got our dissertations in a week early and managed to go on a holiday in Ireland for the week, while the other students were frantically trying to finish their dissertations! What subject are you doing?

Kat - wondering how you are today.....

Babyblue - hope the party goes well and that your dd1 has a good time, and that you can take time to just enjoy seeing her have fun rather than racing around for her. Also hope the scan goes well on Tuesday, will be waiting to hear.

AFM I am doing ok, now 5.5weeks pg, and did one of the clearblue conception tests today, and it said 3+ which is spot on where it should be. So now I am trying to relax and to enjoy the tiredness, nausea, and general aches and pains

Ready4 - any news for us today?

How is everyone else?

theboob · 23/05/2009 08:34

thanks everyone,
I have a conditional offer at the university of Cumbria for september 2010 , This is on the nursing degree , they have been really good with me giving me all Blackpool placements , think it's just the big step of uni that fills me with fear. I know i can do it have been studying for 2 years now and started when ds2 was 6 months , at least dc4 will be almost 1

glad your ok rainbow , and hope today goes smoothly for you Baby blue3

have a great bank hol everyone x

Katnkittens · 23/05/2009 10:35

Ooh babyblue didn't realise your dd1 was the same age as my dd1. Mine is 11 in July, she wants to go out for a meal with some friends then have a sleepover . Should be interesting!

Uni sounds good boob, you mustn't live too far from me? I'm in Durham so only a couple of hours away

I'm fine rainbow, CD27 haven't bothered testing any more as I know I'm not pregnant, I just don't feel it. Pretty sure AF will be showing tomorrow although I don't feel pre menstrual at all, quite often I get no af symptoms though.

Went out last night into Durham with my mam and her work friends, was lovely, it's all been redeveloped and there is a very continental outdoor culture so loads of outdoor seating areas. Lovely when the weather is nice

DD1 is dancing at Dalton park today so had to get up at 7.30 to do her hair and makeup (hungover, me not her), v impressed with the results One of the other mams is taking her down as we're at whitby tomorrow at a competition and I can't be doing with a whole weekend of bloomin dancing!

Hope everyone else is ok xxx

Ready4anotherdecaffCoffee · 24/05/2009 23:03

Af got me too, a day earlier than expected, but I'm not too bothered, as the edd would have been very near dd1's birthday. Not sure whether to try this month, as the edd would then be a few days before dd2's!

The list of carrots is just growing and growing. I'm a bit of all you girls! Not read everything, I'm planning an early night sprawled in bed on my own while dh is asleep from too much beer and sun resting on the sofa

Ready, sorry AF got you but we can be cycle buddies again and you know you will keep trying this month, you won't be able to resist!

I'm happy for it to take a few months but think I'll start getting impatient if it takes any longer!

Ready4anotherdecaffCoffee · 25/05/2009 00:47

Get impatient after a couple of months? you got stamina, I'm impatient NOW!!! Like the cycle buddy though, funny how there's just a day in it again.

How did the dancing comps go?

babyblue3 · 25/05/2009 14:41

Ready - sorry to hear AF got ya... I would definitely go for it for this month though. Its not that big of a deal if 2 DCs have birthdays in close range.

I had a busy weekend. DD2 had fun with her girly pals on Saturday. They were over from 5-10pm, but behaved in the sense that I didn't need to supervise. DH and I sat out on our porch and had dinner while DS1 and DD2 played in the garden. Sunday... we did the last of our gardening, took the kids to the park, then spent the evening entertaining family who had come over for DD2s birthday. I think we were up past 11pm cleaning up. Definitely did not want to go to work this morning! Not to mention my hip has been so sore that I know walk with BOTH a limp and a waddle!!! LOL

How is everyone else??? Do you ladies have a bank holiday today? We had ours last Monday... bit early this year, but oh well a day off nonetheless!

babyblue3 · 26/05/2009 14:55

So today I go for my growth scan. I get my one last peek at my lil man before he is born! Am excited, but a little nervous. Although I can't possibly imagine that he is not growing, considering I am the size of a house! LOL... Sadly... I am not even exaggerating. I keep pg journals with all my DCs, and I am currently measuring at 32 weeks, what I measured with DD2 when she was BORN! Yikes!! Quite depressing! I won't even think about how my measurements compare to those of DD1 and DS1... I would be slashing my wrists or checking into a fat farm!

Hope everyone is doing well!

babyblue3 · 27/05/2009 17:37

Hellllloooooooooo???

Katnkittens · 28/05/2009 00:09

Helloooooooooooooo oooooo ooooo ooo ooo

How did growth scan go? I was HUGE with dd1 but quite small with first and 3rd dcs, weird.... saying that they thought I was small for dates with both thos pregnancies so had loads of growth scans

Ready4anotherdecaffcoffee · 28/05/2009 09:07

helllloooooooo

how was he? never mind about your size, you'll soon be thinner

babyblue3 · 28/05/2009 12:59

Well... am happy to say that he measured just right... 50th percentile... which is average. Tech didn't tell me too much, so it was a good thing I saw my OB the next day. Baby co-operated until the moment she turned the screen to give me a peek. Then the bugger turned and I couldn't get a look at more than the back of his head!! LOL. But he is head down now... yay... more trips to the loo in the middle of the night!

So when I went to see the OB I was not too impressed. The way it works where I am, is the office has 9 OBs. You are assigned to one primary. If the primary is off, you see one of the others. The day you go into labour, you get whomever is on call that day. Thats all fine... I have met most of them over the course of 4 pregnancies, and was lucky to have my primary deliver both DDs. Well, yesterday, I saw an OB I haven't met before. He seemed rather nice, until he gave me a really cheeky response to one of my concerns. I asked him if there was anything he could suggest I do to alleviate some of the hip pains I have been having. I told him it was so bad on some days that I could barely walk. Know what his reply was??? "Have the baby!!!!" NO SHIT!!!!! I was sooo not impressed. And I am stuck seeing him again for my next visit, which was when I planned to get a doc note so I can leave work early. Somehow, I don't think he will be too sympathetic to my request! Sigh... MEN!!!!

And how is everyone else?????

Having a rummage sale this weekend, so I have been struggling to get together all my junk. Its amazing. Our entire street has one every year. And every year, we have a tonne of stuff. Its almost like it breeds in my house!!

babyblue3 · 28/05/2009 18:21

Read this on another site and thought I would share... I thought it was hysterical... especially for some of us who have been there! Would make an interesting Birth announcement of sorts!! LOL

Last day to vacate: July 26th, 2009 To: Baby Boy. To the above tenant in possession of below described premises: I am issuing a 10 day notice for EVICTION. You will have 10 days in which you can either gather your belongings and promptly vacate the premises, or wait until the final day. After which, you will be physically removed from the property. You are being evicted due to breech of contract and destruction of property. Expansions only to the FRONT of the premise, within reasonable limits, were discussed. Not only have these limits been exceeded, but additions to the back of the premise were also made! Remodeling and gutting of the home was never approved, nor was changing the initial layout and base structure. And due to property damage, which may never be reversed, no matter how invasive the reconstruction may be. On top of which, the landlord has received numerous complaints about nightly disturbances. After 10 days from this day that you don't comply with the notice will result in immediate and forceful removal at my discretion. Thank you for your cooperation! Love, Mommy

Ready4anotherdecaffcoffee · 30/05/2009 09:28

LMAO, that is very funny

Pleased to hear he's growing well, won't be long now... shame about the twunt OB, can you not re-arrange your appt so you don't see him?
