Guys we need a new group! Wouldn't let me post in old one.

MrsDis I recognise him but can't for the life of me think of his name.

Someone spill!

Exactly BB, I remember having DC3 and being so overwhelmed about managing with all these kids! And the first time I had them all on my own thinking shttt what have I done!!

But you'll be fine and as they get older they help entertain each other as you'll know already.

Totally not symptom spotting or anything at the mo, Jess has a big competition on Sunday, just bought her a new suit so have had the sewing kit out altering it... v scary as I'm not the best but I'm learning! All this dancing is keeping my mind off the 2ww which is fab as last month I was driving myself nuts!

xxx

Katnkittens · 13/05/2009 23:17

Oh and DH spent his paternity leave studying so I did the school run with Lily when she was 2 days old You'll be fine

Ready4anotherdecaffCoffee · 14/05/2009 09:56

my dh is like a chocolate teapot, I was soing the nursery run with ds when dd2 was 2 days old too.

I'll never forget how after dd2 was born dh went to sleep, because he was tired. I was left downstairs, shakey from the injection for the placenta, with a birthpool that has deveolped a small puncture in the bottom ring during labour, and had to have some of it's water pumped out before I went to bed, and dd2 just wanted to feed...

Suffice to say I got a telling off from my midwife the next day, but there you go, we are mums, and can handle anything like BB says

I went oout with a few friends last night. had a pint and a half, and tried to not feel too guilty about the potential effect on any potential bean

Katnkittens · 14/05/2009 10:37

Hahaha ready... LMAO at your DH being tired after you had given birth Bet he never lives that one down!

I'd had a PPH so was very anaemic and I still ended up doing everything! I think he'd be a lot better next time but dd2 was his first and I think he was a bit 'ahhhh what do I do with it' for a few weeks!

The weirdest thing happened, I really think I'm going mad... I sent my friend a text alst night and put down my phone next to me... it has disappeared!! I went to pick it up about 1/2 hour later and it wasn't there... the kids were in bed (usual suspects) and I hadn't moved from the sofa . Oh and my phone was helpfully on silent so I cant ring it

I think there are naughty fairies in my house.

Sorry am completely befuddled and had to share

Ready4anotherCoffee · 14/05/2009 10:45

lol, I saw that on fb I do that all the time as well. Would it vibrate if you ring it? Down/under the sofa?

My old phone broke a couple of weeks ago- it wouldn't stop vibrating was funny for the first few hours, then was a pita.

Katnkittens · 14/05/2009 11:24

Woooooooooooooooo found it! I have a corner sofa and it had fallen down the miniscule gap between the 2 bases.... serves me right for having a posh skinny phone. I really need something huge so I never lose it. I'm terrible for losing it!

babyblue3 · 14/05/2009 14:37

LOL... you know Kat... at first thought I would say that was classic Pregnancy brain losing your phone that way... but with the amount of kids we all have, it can easily be attributed to Mummy brain!! LOL..

Spent the last 2 days digging un trees and shrubs in my garden with DH and am now totally exhausted! Serves me right! My back and hips are so sore... think a massage is in order!!! LOL

Went for prenatal appointment and my LO seems to be doing well and measuring spot on! They are sending me for a growth scan in 2 weeks. Am looking forward to getting one last peek at him before he is born. In a couple of days I will be 30 weeks and on the downward slide! Woo Hooooo! Tomorrow I will be spending the day getting stuff ready for his arrival, and then I will be able to relax.

Katnkittens · 14/05/2009 21:52

Wow bb it seems to have flown over! I had to go for loads of growth scans with my 1st and 3rd, loved seeing them so often!

Pregnancy brain... hmm hope so, trying not to think about it.. don't want to be obsessing, it's doing my head in, I think I have relaxed a lot more this month. In reality we are in no hurry to conceive (apart from my impatience). I am only 29, I am fond of age gaps, we are moving house asap... I dont think i could cope with a baby in this tiny house!

Anyway, see if I still feel that way if I still havent got pg in a couple of months!

Katnkittens · 16/05/2009 21:15

Anyoneeee theerreeee?

Rainbow how are you??

babyblue3 · 16/05/2009 23:33

Awfully quiet here! You ladies must be having some nice weather to keep you all away from your computers!! Our weather is rubbish here.... cold cold and rain!! Was beautiful the past few days, and now that the long weekend is here for us (Victoria Day) its crap!

Katnkittens · 16/05/2009 23:34

Same here, was nice for a couple of days been raining today Should go to bed, have to be up at 6am for a dancing competition.... happy days!

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/05/2009 11:22

it is really quiet here isn't it?? Are there many of us ttc anymore?

Rainbow hope you're well?

Well i have no MS anymore just tired, but that is getting slightly better each day. I am starting to need bigger trousers though, and am living a pair of skinny maternity jeans. Hoping to tell RL people when i get back from my spa break (can't wait) and i will be 13 weeks then not sure if it will hold out that long! its only another 4 weeks for my nuchal fold scan. I have never had a nuchal fold before - what do they do? MW said they take blood at the same time, i know how they measure it but i mean what dos the actual scan entail?

HeinzSight · 17/05/2009 13:18

Hi Scorpio, they take certain measurements. The main one being the fold of skin at the back of the neck. If it's over a certain thickness that can be an indicator of Downs. They also check that the nasal bone is present. Can't really remember the other bits.

I'm glad you feeling a bit better. MS is horrid.

How are you getting on today Kat? Hope you're having fun, but 6am!!! YUK!

I'm really suffering with my hip at the moment, it really is crippling, am so worried about the next three months

babyblue3 · 17/05/2009 15:18

Scorpio glad to here MS is getting better. If your little bean co-operates, the scan should not take too long. Its just like any other. My LO was too busy dancing around, so it took 2 techs over an hour to get the proper measurements! At least you don't need a full bladder for this one! After the scan they take blood for your triple (or quad) test. If its anything like here, they don't give results until after they draw the 2nd set of blood at 16 weeks. Then they take all scores to give you a final result.

Heinz - know what you mean about hip pain. I have been doing a lot around the house this past week, so my hip has been really acting up. I have another 10 weeks to complain about it too! Hopefully I will be able to get a doc note and leave work earlier than I first planned. Don't think I can make it to 38 weeks like last time! My back hurts too

HeinzSight · 18/05/2009 09:29

I've booked in to see an Osteopath this afternoon. Apparently he's very alternative. I'll report back!!!

Sorry you're suffering too babyblue, our poor poor bodies, what are we doing to ourselves!!?

Katnkittens · 18/05/2009 13:29

Heya,
Had an exhausting day yesterday, got up 6am, it takes a couple of hours to get her hair and make up done then we didnt get home until about 7.30pm, I conked out on the sofa at 9pm and slept through all night haha. She did really well though, she made the semi finals in her fast and came 2nd in her slow dance so was fantastic!

CD22 today, totally convinced I haven't done it this month though as my boobs arent sore and I have no symptoms apart from random cramps. It's ok though, I'm quite relaxed about it at the minute, got too much going on with selling the house and all the kids' activities!

theboob · 18/05/2009 18:57

hello
not been on for months but just thought i would pop on and tell you all i had my 20 week scan last week and i'm having a girl

so that will be 2 boys , 2 girls x x

congrats on all other pregnancys

HeinzSight · 18/05/2009 20:10

congrats theboob!!!! I'm wondering what my LO is......

Kat, well done your DD!!!!!!

Be back in a sec with news about Osteopath appointment...

HeinzSight · 18/05/2009 20:20

Osteopath appointment. I have to confess to being VERY freaked out!!!! I sat down and told him I was expecting my fourth and that I was experiencing sacroiliac joint pain. He told me that he knew what the problem was by simply shaking my hand!!! This was the bit that REALLY got me, he said 'you're very hypermobile' HOW DID HE KNOW THAT FROM SHAKING MY HAND??????????? OMG!!

Anyway, he put loads of really heavy magnetic weights on me, wrapped them all around me, then he bent me all over the place. He's obviously very used to treating pregnant women as he wasn't at all phased by my bump and was bending me right over forwards and all sorts.

I do feel a lot better, still in pain, but I haven't been yelping like I was previously. He said to phone him on Thursday to say how I was and if not better to come back and he'd treat me again for free.

Ready4anotherCoffee · 18/05/2009 23:04

Hey all,

Congrats theboob!

Well done to your DD Kat!

Heinz, your osteopath sounds interesting, hope he has helped.

cd 23 here, I don't think this month is going to be my month, as everything has been so stressful. sadly, everything has knocked me for 6 (spent the last 18mths sorting out the PND following DD1 ) and I've had to increase my ad's. Still, if it keeps me sane...

hope everyone else is well xx

HeinzSight · 19/05/2009 12:05

Ready, SOOO sorry to hear you're suffering with PND still . You truly have my sympathy as this is something I'm genuinely terrified about having had it after all three children in increasing severity. What ADs are you on?

Interestingly, the Osteopath yesterday said he can treat women for PND, might be worth an investigation Ready? x x x x

babyblue3 · 19/05/2009 12:43

Good morning all

Kat, well done for your DD

Boob - congrats to you as well... I am in the same boat with 2 of each... Billionaires family they call it (probably since it costs that much to raise em!!).

Heinz - very interesting appointment. Never heard of that before.

Back to work for me today... boohoo

Ready4anotherdecaffCoffee · 19/05/2009 16:54

I'm on citalopram heinz. Plus I've been seeing a wonderful lady courtesy of OXPIP which has helped me so much. I'm sorry to hear you've had it in increasing severity Heinz.

That sounds interesting about the osteopath, don't suppose he's in my neck of the woods [oxfordshire]?

HeinzSight · 19/05/2009 16:58

Yes!!!!!! Banbury, google him, his name is Hector Wells

HeinzSight · 19/05/2009 17:00

Where do you live Ready? I'm in Brackley
