MrsDis I recognise him but can't for the life of me think of his name.

Someone spill!

Diege - i have done 18 months, and i know for sure i don't want to do it now, maybe not ever. Am retraining as nursery nurse.

Katnkittens · 07/03/2009 12:02

Hi Snot

I'm in my final year at uni doing biomedical sciences, I did a foundation year at uni which sounds a lot like what you are doing.
I find uni don't really care that I have kids... I certainly don't get any concessions because of it and am expected to manage it myself.

Spoke to DH last night and he does want to TTC phew... so we're back on after this cycle.

xxx

ScorpiowithabigS · 07/03/2009 12:11

Kat - thats good lots of dhs being confused out there about dc4

Snot - mine are 6, 4 & 10 months. Eldest two are boys, then Mimi is my daughter, 10 months.

babyblue3 · 07/03/2009 13:52

MrsD - sounds like a wonderful time you had... very !!! I was happy just to have the afternoon alone with DH yesterday!!

Diege - I have a DS, but he will be 10 this year. After he was born, I thought I was done and got rid of EVERYTHING baby related. Then... when I fell pregnant (after my tubal I might add), I had to get a fresh batch of baby things. I was lucky my sis was able to give me her lot (her kids: DS is 6 and DD is 4). So it worked out that both our youngest are DDs and are only 2.5 years apart. But she kept nothing of the boys'... so I am back to starting over with boys clothing. You are right though... shopping for girls is more fun! LOL... but I have noticed a BIG improvement since having to shop for DS1.

Anyway... have a wonderful weekend everyone!

snotdroolanddirtybums · 07/03/2009 14:12

hiya everyone thanks for the welcome.

wow! i can see im gonna struggle to keep up with this thread, u are a chatty bunch.

Diege- Thanks, the name kinda sums up my boys lol. this is my first month so fingers crossed!

scorpio- your dp sounds very supportive. Yea im confused about dc4 too, wandering am i totaly insane or just love to torture myself No really youll be grand its understandable your feeling the way you are.

mrsdisorganised-your break sounds lovely and relaxing.

babyblue-congrats on your boy, you must be so excited. im hoping for a girl as ive 3 boys but id be happy with either as long as their healthy.

Kat-very good, i was looking at that aswell but now thinking teaching as the holidays are great! whats the bio course like? id say it would be very interesting.?

better go just got a wiff of a dirty bum....

ScorpiowithabigS · 08/03/2009 11:03

snot - weh ad a girl after all the boys. DH & I each have a son with another partner; then a son together, and a daughter. So mimi is really our fourth and was a girl I would ideally like anothe girl i think, but would love a boy too, lol. Twins?

Not hopeful for this month, no sore boobs or anything but raging absolutely raging PMT so expecting period in about 4 days i think. I don't even know when/if i oved, either this month so really not hopeful. cd28, out of ususal 34.

HeinzSight · 08/03/2009 12:45

Hi all,

hi snot, love you name!

MrsD, your adult break sounded lovely, what did you go to see at the theatre?

Scorpio and Kat, both your DH's sound fantastically supportive.

I got rid of tonnes of stuff after DD was born, we really weren't going to be having any more, but this LO had different ideas! Luckily I've a friend who has offered us her cot, so that's one less expense. I'm going to sell our 2 buggies, one's a Micralite Toro and the other is a 3 wheeler Mamas and Papas, I'm hpoing to get a fair bit for them on ebay so I can put that towards a new buggy, thinking of a Phil and Teds. DH still not having any luck at all on the job front so we're being uber careful with money.

My goodness, today started out so lovely and sunny and it's miserable out there now. My DH must be completely bonkers, he's out running in this rain!! He's doing a half marathon next weekend so he has to put the training in. Rather him that me!!!

mum2madkids · 08/03/2009 16:12

Hi all,

Sorry that i haven't been about for a few days, amd really busy with my coursework at the moment.

Well AF is due today and it looks like she is coming... and i know that this will sound stupid to the people who have been TTC for ages, but it has really upset me as this is the first time that i have not fallen in the first cycle of TTC.

Never mind, onwards and upwards and all that!

gingertoo · 08/03/2009 17:22

Hi Everyone!

Mind if I join you?

I'm on my 4th cycle TTC#4. I've got 3 gorgeous ds's (10,8 and 19months) and would love another (much to the horror of my friends / family - lol - who think I'm mad)

Like you, mum2madkids, I've always been lucky and have fallen in the first cycle ttc so it's been a bit of a shock this time round to get bfn.......

Still it's fun trying

ScorpiowithabigS · 08/03/2009 17:43

you are both very lucky!

rainbowdays · 08/03/2009 21:48

Hi and welcome to our newbies here. Great to have some new people as well as our old "carrots".

I am busy with my parent here so finding less time to get online, but will be back properly at the end of the week.

Mrs - good to hear you had a good weekend away.

mum2madkids · 08/03/2009 22:03

Ok, i am confused. AF hasn't shown, yet todays test was negative.

Do i test again tomorrow, or what?

babyblue3 · 08/03/2009 22:21

Welcome to the newbies Looks like we may have some new POAS addicts! LOL

Ginger... your family is much like mine, in terms of the spacing. Its nice to even out the bunch, since the older two can keep one another company, and the babies still have each other as well. I always felt like my baby was the odd one out, and did not want her to grow up 'alone'.

Tomorrow I have my last appointment with my GP, and then its off to the OB's office from now on. I am hoping she will have the 'official' results from my scan, even though the tech said he looked great. I am also hoping to get the final results from my amnio, as it has been almost 3 weeks now.

ScorpiowithabigS · 09/03/2009 09:19

mum2 - i would wait another 2 or so days, then see

Babyblue - im sure the results will be fine

Im cd29, sore breasts, huuuuge PMT, so i reckon im out!

rainbowdays · 09/03/2009 09:59

Mum2 - I know if it was me I would be testing with second morning urine too, just in case, and then test again tomorrow morning etc.... but I really should not encourage lots of testing, so I will agree with scorpio and say, try agian in a couple of days if nothing happens. I hope it is good news.

scorpio - now that is enough negative thinking, it ain't over yet, just think positive, it might have happen!

baby - hope the sppointment goes smoothly today.

mum2madkids · 09/03/2009 10:35

Hiya again, thanks.

AF has shown, so i obviously got confused with dates or something. Never mind onwards and upwards.

How are you all today?

ScorpiowithabigS · 09/03/2009 13:34

mum2 - keep your chin up, the first period is alawys the worst and then you get used to not conceiving, lol

I'm trying to be upbeat but i so know im not pg, its obvious! Hoping period wont show until after weekend though as dh is away and im feeling odd about seeing a period.

NEW SOFA ON FRIDAY WHOOP WHOOP

gingertoo · 09/03/2009 13:59

Babyblue - that's exactly how we feel. We want to balance things up a bit! The older boys are often out and about and ds3 really misses them so it would be brilliant to have another little one. We were aiming for a two year gap (like the older 2 who are really close) but it hasn't worked out like that.... Good luck with your results

Scorpio - sending you lots of positive vibes..... re new sofa (mines lasted through 3 little boys and looks like it too - lol)

Hope everyone else is fine today....
I'm a bit fed up - day 10 of cycle and AF still not gone. Used to have such a regular cycle and knew exactly when ov but since ds3, i'm all over the place. Only 26 day cycle last month.....

ScorpiowithabigS · 09/03/2009 14:00

oh god if you saw our sofas you would see i need a new one!!

fakeblondie · 09/03/2009 14:38

Hi can i join,
we have dd 16 dd 13 and ds 5 and yes we will get flak from all sides i expect because in sep we are going to ttc no. 4 !
I`m so excited .
Am i entirely mad ?
Anyone wanna be excited with me x

gingertoo · 09/03/2009 14:44

Hi fakeblondie
Sharing your excitement - I always wanted a big family. My dh reckons he'll get loads of flak at work if we have another - they give him enough stick already for having 3! He just tells them it's quiet where we live - not much to do at night

babyblue3 · 09/03/2009 16:22

Hahaha... Trust me... we have gotten tonnes of flak ranging from 'was it an accident?' to 'No tele where you live??' It becomes tiresome... but the initial expressions on peoples faces when you tell them you are pg with #4 is priceless... I especially love the jaw drop! LOL

Everything went well at my appointment. The scan results showed a healthy little guy with no issues. Hopefully the amnio results come in this week.

Ooooh... new sofa! Very nice! Mine is only a few years old, but looks like it has been through a war!! Just 2 days ago, DS1 looked on as DD2 decided to try out her penmanship on one of the cushons

How is everyone else?

Katnkittens · 10/03/2009 01:40

Hey guys, am still here... just been working hard
Nice to see some newbies

Fakeblondie (could be me) my youngest is 5 too, keep wondering if I'm mental to want another one??

Am keeping DH away from me this month, don't want any BFPs on weird dates to confuse things further! Am on the 2ww for AF to show and hopefully it will be a normal one!!

Oh and newbies, I always conceive really easily too, my 3 have all been surprises, pg in Dec was a surprise.. ended in mc, 4 weeks later another BFP (and another m/c )

It seems my problem atm isn't conceiving but getting a sticky one!

Oh well, my time will come

babyblue3 · 10/03/2009 02:40

Finally got my scanner working!! Yippee! Posted my scan pics from my little bean on FB if anyone is interested!

rainbowdays · 10/03/2009 12:38

BabyBlue - your pics are fantastic, love the food and first one.
