MamaMaiasaura · 16/01/2009 23:09

Hi just wondered if people ttc on Clomid wanted to join this thread unless i have been stupid and missed one.

We are due to fertility clinic on 22nd and expect to go on clomid again.

We have 2 dc. Ds1 is nearly 9 and was concieved without fertility help. THis was a big surprise as have PCOS and was told would never conceive naturally.

Ds2 was conceived after 1 course of clomid 50mg. My day 21 test was awful and still no period after 45ish day. Was put on progesterone to induce bleed. Didnt happen as was pregnant.

Was also on metformin but not currently, waiting for all clear next week. I have dodgy lft generally on medication and also bfing.

Ds2 is 1 now and still breastfeeding. Hoping this will not hinder any treatment as really want to continue this too. I am now 33 so fertility decreasing too.

I dont have a cd currently as all up the shoot so waiting to see what happens really.

Hello All,

Sissy - I'm feeling emotional too. It's a relief to hear that I am not alone. I'm just terrified of this not working for the 4th month in a row!

Felt so of mum with newborn at library this morning and just didn't want to be there.

Need to calm down. Must try not to worry - am actually looking forward to April when I won't be trying for a month.

Awen are you just BDing anyway cos of the CM - anything's worth a shot isn't it? Maybe ask your Nurse for some advice.

Milly everywhere is different, just wait till Wed and try not to panic and try not to see Clomid as a miracle solution to all your woes

Stac get your e-mail sorted and get back on here cycle buddy!

Clure hope you get some provera this week so that you can move onwards and upwards.

Lisylou I'm coming to the conclusion that it is probably best not to pay too much attention to any pains that you may have as you drive yourself mad! Did you BD before ex went away? Try OPKs to find out when you ov -they do work on Clomid.

Well I'm off to a new dance class with DD in a short while. It's called little stars and they are doing fancy dress because of Comic Relief so time to get out the fairy outfit I think.

On the TTC front - pre-seed arrived today. Expect to ov on Sat eve so will be BDing lots from tomorrow until next Mon. We are planning to take things easy and to enjoy ourselves lots!!

mummycat1 · 10/03/2009 12:39

Oooh hello Awen - are we on here at the same time?

mummycat1 · 10/03/2009 12:41

Be brave and hold off with the tests Awen - you know you should xx

Ladies

Today is day 2 for me... On the list it said today was day 3. I?m doing alright. I haven?t been online as much because I?m trying not to try! Hahaha... I took 150mg today. I really truly hope that I will be able to conceive children. I thought you ladies would like to hear something... My best friend Jessica sat me down and spoke to me about my husband and I trying to conceive. She told me that she already spoke to her husband about offering to ?carry? my baby if I ever needed her services. (She already has two children) I started to cry! I have such an amazing friend! I told her if it came down to it and it was our only option then of course we would take her up on her offer. I?m still holding on to the fact that I might be able to... Someday. I can?t believe that she was serious and that she already discussed it with her husband and everything! I asked her why she even offered and how did she even come up with something like that. Jessica said that it hurt her to look at me and into my eyes every time I looked at her children. Jessica told me that she remembers when we were 12 years old and how much I wanted to have children and be a mother when I grew up. The funny thing is that Jessica didn?t even like kids growing up! She didn?t want kids until she met her husband, then boyfriend... It took two months to change her mind, because he wanted kids! Isn?t life funny and strange how it works out???

Clure

Thanks... I was disappointed, but not as upset that I thought I was going to be. I guess it?s because I don?t think it?s ever going to happen.

mummycat1

That?s what I?m going-relaxing. I?m working out with my mom, got a gym membership, working more hours, and I?m think about taking summer classes. If it happens it happens.

Attila

I will be going to another specialist in two months. I will let you know how things go for me. Thank you for the advice.

Lisa

I hope you ovulate this month hun!!!

cheeky

I?m sorry for your mc. I only have one month left. Then I?m going to take a break next month, then I have an appointment with another specialist. Enjoy your massage!

Alfiemax

Thank you for your kind words...

sissy

Yes! I When I?m on clomid I cry all the time for really dumb things! My husband thinks I?m crazy!!! Don?t worry though... You are not alone.

Awen

I know. It?s just hard sometimes when I actually ?think? about it. I know several women that got pregnant and don?t want to be a mom, or dead beat dads, or can?t afford it, or even afford their first one let alone their second! I guess I just terrified that I will never have a family and never get pregnant. I?m glad that other women understand what I am going through.

Stac

Hope you are doing well hun!!! Miss ya on here! It sounds like you are ovulating or could be...

ray81 · 11/03/2009 13:22

millymolly how did you get on at your oppoinment?

brandybaby i was just crying over your story what a great, true friend. its nice to know that you have that option available to you if you want, but hopefully you will be able to carry your own. can i ask why your seeing another specialist, are you not happy with your current one, or are you going to go private?

ray so we won't be seeing you for a while haha!! enjoy your BD and fingers crossed you catch a good swimmer...

1 week wait over, 1 more week to go...doing a 9 mile charity walk saturday and got some extra hours at work to make the days go faster.

baby dust to all.

sissy0928 · 11/03/2009 21:07

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with the tears on chlomid! I was starting to feel a bit crazy...of course I still do, so irritated at myself for wondering at every twinge, every little feeling at all...I find myself waking up in the am asking myself, "do I feel sick?", hoping! Ridiculous.

My first month I ov'd on D16, this month it was D14 too...and it prolonged AF for 2 days...

DD felt my tummy last night, said it was hard, and was I pg?? I told her I wish I could say yes, but it'll be another 6 days before we can test...I don't want her to get her hopes up and be down about it too....

Alfiemax · 11/03/2009 21:35

Hi All,

How is everyone?? Good I hope.

BrandyBaby that is so lovely of your friend to offer something so wonderful to you. Like the other guys have said though, hopefully you won't need to take her up on her offer. BabyDust to you.

Regarding moods, I have to say I felt the complete opposite while on Cloe. I felt on a high? Until my period came, and it wasn't even like my normal 'miserable because period is here' feeling. And I'm still not great now and it's been more than 4 weeks since I took it last. I'm really hoping that when I'm on it consistantly that I'll feel ok.

Sissy how old is your DD? Sorry if you have already said. Does she get all excited at the prospect of a sibling? My DD is 11 (12 in May) and has known we been TTC for over a year. DS 9 (10 in May) has only known since last Dec when I had my last cons appt. He suffers with a bit of OCD and has to know the ins and outs of TTC lol. Well asking me all the time why I'm not pg and actually coming out with random suggestions as to why it hasn't happened yet bless him. Oh and of course can I make it a boy.

It's actually a relief that they know because I kind of felt like I was sneaking about doing OPK's, HPT's and going for hosp appt's. We did briefly mention it to them when we first started trying over 5 years ago and they assumed we still hadn't had sex yet and that's why I wasn't pg lol. They we have only done it twice to conceive them.

BabyDust all round for you wonderful ladies. ~ ~ ~

millymolly83 · 11/03/2009 22:35

hi everyone, cheekymonkeywanted well it all starts in two weeks i get start on a progesterone then on clomid so fingers crossed it works. so hows ever one

sissy0928 · 11/03/2009 22:52

Good for you Millymolly! Yeay, can't wait to hear how you do! Best of luck!

Alfie, your son sounds absolutely adorable! It's that spirit and love they have for life that increases my want for another! My DD is 13 now, such a lovely age (sarcasm) but she really is a great kid, and makes me laugh all the time! I think sometimes so I forget what she may have done earlier and forget the punishment! lol. She's excited to have a sibling but is at the age that she is disgusted at how it has to happen, whether by sex or with help! She'll pick up my paperwork and read and then roll her eyes about in disgust.

millymolly83 · 12/03/2009 00:02

sissy0928 and cheekymonkeywanted, thanks for you're support its nice to know that someone in the same boat is on your side
love and luck

Lisylou

Mid cycle pain is commonly felt with endometriosis - it may be that which is making its prescence felt.

Hope the day 21 shows a good result.

The strange thing is now that i am on the clomid the only pain i seem to get is a couple of days before i come on! this pain is different to normal endometriosis pain it is in a different place, where the endo pain is to either side this pain is through the middle, its all very srange x
