TTC - Clomid Thread

Hi just wondered if people ttc on Clomid wanted to join this thread unless i have been stupid and missed one.

We are due to fertility clinic on 22nd and expect to go on clomid again.

We have 2 dc. Ds1 is nearly 9 and was concieved without fertility help. THis was a big surprise as have PCOS and was told would never conceive naturally.

Ds2 was conceived after 1 course of clomid 50mg. My day 21 test was awful and still no period after 45ish day. Was put on progesterone to induce bleed. Didnt happen as was pregnant.

Was also on metformin but not currently, waiting for all clear next week. I have dodgy lft generally on medication and also bfing.

Ds2 is 1 now and still breastfeeding. Hoping this will not hinder any treatment as really want to continue this too. I am now 33 so fertility decreasing too.

I dont have a cd currently as all up the shoot so waiting to see what happens really.

Been rolling round the bed in agony so not sure what that was about it could be AF pain or it could be endo pain its gone now though thank god, still no sign of AF i think i'm just gonna leave it till AF proper flow appears

If very painful you should get yourself checked out xx

Yeah worked out why was in so much pain, my AF came properly at tea time so any ideas, am i to assume this is day 1 or should i take it as day 3 as i been spotting since monday???

I would take it as cd1 as first proper day of bleeding. Sorry that you have af x

i know feel bit crap as slightly got hopes up, stupidly!!!!!!! ok day 1 it is thank for the advice, just gotta keep thinking positive it will happen when the time is right xx

My af came this morning, thats 5 days from the progesterone finished, takes so long. Clomid tomorrow night . I have been in loads of pain so taking that as a good sign

lisylou Sorry your af came chick hope your feeling ok! Means we can be cylcle buddies this month and be on 2ww together, last time I was the same time as alfiemax but because I have to take progesterone to induce period my cycles are more like 6 weeks.

Still waiting for AF, i think I need to put a date as to how long I'm prepared to wait for it and then go and see GP for progesterone.

I had the 50mg last cycle but never ovulated so my consultant increased it to 100mg so fingers crossed I ovulate this month.
Have you thought about how long you will wait for af?

As I don't menstrate alone I am currently on 6 week cycles which is a pain, I wonder if there is any way around this? Awen is this the same for you or has the doc advised how you manage to get a 28 day cycle?

Thanks for your messages, another question for you, i read that from your last clomid tablet its about 10 days after that that you ovulate. i have no idea when i ovulate and not in the position money wise to be buying tests?? trying to work out if my partner will be home for next ovulation, why is life never easy!!!!!!

Stac you finally got your af, bet you're glad, well in the right way of course. I moan about short cycle's but I couldn't cope with waiting long distances between.

Hello to everyone else, hope you are all ok. Everyone is at really different times in their cycle.

Well ladies, I think I'm going to be confident enough to say I dont think I ov'd this cycle, or if I did I didn't know about it as it's been pain free, no booby pain or even CM to be honest. I have had pain when ov for well over 3 years now. I'm wondering how much last month's clomid has affected me. I'll just have to wait and see when af gets here now. If I go by my normal days then it should be around a week from now.

I am glad my af came, as you say it is just frustrating having such long cycles. I never thought about it before because January was my first attempt.

lisylou Go to this website they offer a clomid calculator, you just type in the date you take your first clomid and it works out the rest. www.babymed.com/tools/fertility/clomid/Default.aspx, it said if I take my first one tomorrow night I should start bding every 1-2 days from 06/03/09 until 13/03/09. I can't use opk as I have pcos and they give you a false reading so this is the closest way I have to working it out.

The baby aspirin that you bought (75mg) is okay as well. But totally double check with your doctor with it.

Hey ladies,
Just a quick question to anyone really lol. If you have to take progesterone, norethisterone or provera to induce a period how do you work it so that you have a 4 weekly cycle instead of what I have which is a 6 weekly cycle or do you just have to put up with it?

hello all, had my d11 scan today, and there is a lovely folical waiting to go, and a second one for backup aparently??? said i should ovulate mid next week, but to bd every other day from tomorrow yippieeee!!!! trying to think positivly to getting pregnant again...

stac not sure if there is anything you can do, cause you cant really take the tablets any earlier...

alfiemax dont give up hope, when i first took clomid last year, my first cycle when i ovulated i felt everything sick, sore boobs etc... then my second month when i fell pregnant i didnt feel a thing,i felt no difference, no sign of anything only a positive test...so you may well be fingers crossed for you

the thing is when your trying for a baby you look out for every early sign that you read about being pregnant and if you dont have them you think your not, but i realised it makes no difference, you may have no symptoms at all so it will be a nice big surprise for us all... im liking my positivity hahahah!!!!

im on 50mg, same as last time, seems to be enough for me, at least im lucky in some way!, i know people are on higher doses and still not ovulating . what about you?

I had 50mg last month but didnt ov so I have been upped to 100mg this month, the consultant says 100mg is the most common dose so I'm not too worried, was quite upset about not ov'ing last month but staying positive this time cause every step is a step coser to bfp. I have to have all the blood tests cd 21, 28 & 35 goodness knows why and if I don't ov this month it will be up to 150mg so hoping that doesnt happen. You up to anything this weekend except bding lol

hi all hope we are all well and thinking positive.

stac didnt really get up to much, just faffing around the house. at least the good thing is with clomid is that if it doesnt work one month you can up the doses a few times, gives you a bit more hope.

met this lady today and she was due today and she was HUGE!!!!! never seen someone sooooo big and she was tiny (poor woman, its gonna hurt...alot!) cant believe we all want to be that big lol! {grin} just thought i would share that with you hahaha!!!!

Stac i'm still on 50mg, i had a reading of 60 last time on my blood test so they are keeping me at the same, i am only hoping i have worked the tablets correctly for when i should be ovulating and when my bloke home!!!!!!!
Weekend ok, only had one night and day with my bloke as he had to go back early so that was crap and all i got planned this week is work!!!!!

cheekymonkey When I was pregnant with ds who is nearly 10 (aarrgghh) I was like a weeble, you know the wee things that had no legs and when you pushed them they bounced back up and I went on to have a 10lb 6oz boy lol

lisylou whens your oving days if your taking clomid cd 5-9? Did you try out that site that tells you your dates?
