scorpio1 · 30/01/2009 22:02

oh no Heinz keep strong, something will turn up, it always does

Katonahottinroof · 31/01/2009 01:00

It's a bit uncertain here too, DH's firm are thinking of making them have a 4 day week to save money which would cripple our already shaky finances
Hating this credit crunch
It's katb by the way

theboob · 31/01/2009 07:49

hello all
scorpio and mrsd,my first BFP's on the ebay cheepies were so faint that you coud only see them in natural daylight, looking really close and they were grey
did a FR the day after and got a quick strng line,i was using 10 as well good luck to you both
heinz its so annoying ,hoping something turns up for your DH soon
hope everybody else is well,no news from me,except my boobs are killing me

Diege · 31/01/2009 08:45

Morning . Really sorry to hear about your news HEINZ Hoping you can get through it ok, although I can imagine it must be very stressful. Dh is also stressing here about his, though thankfully my job is pretty safe so one of us would be ok.
Hoping things are ok for your dh too KAT (love the new name!). How are you feeling in yourself?
Fingers crossed SCORPIO and MRSD .
Well dh has left for Lake District so hoping the dds don't have one of their crazy ones Hope everyone else has a good weekend

Katonahottinroof · 31/01/2009 11:10

Hiya
I'm feeling ok, having to start on my dissertation and getting stressed with the workload DH is away all next week which doesn't help things.
Keeping my fingers crossed for the potential carrots amongst us Nothing really going on on TTC front, on about CD9 or 10 I think - 1st part of the cycle is always pretty boring...

Have a good weekend all xxx

scorpio1 · 31/01/2009 14:55

Feeling bit down today, just really broody i think! weather doesn't help i think, you know when its all grey outside? Think my tests are BFN's - cd31, so still have a few days i think,oh well.

mrsdisorganised · 31/01/2009 19:40

Well I'm out this month! Af this morning, have to have a talk with dh to see if he wants to carry on ttc....feeling very down.
Fingers crossed scorpio x

ScorpiowithabigS · 31/01/2009 19:41

oh no mrs crappy ebay shitey tests Hope your chat with DH goes well xx just ask for 2 more months or something

mrsdisorganised · 31/01/2009 19:44

Thanks and yes crappy ebay rubbishy tests got to blame something! Maybe I'll just get him drunk!

ScorpiowithabigS · 31/01/2009 19:44

yeah drunk - and leave all contraception up to him. He will never do it, i bet!

Twiglettini · 01/02/2009 10:37

Oh MrsD, I'm so sorry. I'm not surprised you are feeling mis. (((((MrsD))))) Give it a few days, then do sit down and have a talk with him. Or, yes, the drunkenness thing could really work x so hope you can talk him round.

Sorry Heinz, that's rotten news.

Good luck Scorpio

ScorpiowithabigS · 01/02/2009 10:44

BFN today, cd32. think im out for this month, cycles normally 35/36 days so i think i woud show BFP by now. FGS.

ScorpiowithabigS · 01/02/2009 10:46

tested with a tesco test as ebay ones are still doing the same.

Twiglettini · 01/02/2009 10:59

Don't give up hope, Scorpio, AF still may not arrive. I've heard Tesco ones can be unreliable I'm afraid.

Hi Kat, I think you are one day ahead of me cycle wise as your mc was one day earlier than mine. Let's BD together!! well, not together, but on the same days??!

Talking of which, does anyone know the days we should be doing the deed?? I've previously relied on ewcm (sorry) which has been quite reliable, but is it good to BD on days 10 to 14? and is it good to bd everyday [completely knackered emoticon] or every other day [slightly less knackered emoticon]?? You'd think I should know this by now

Still thinking of you mrsD, do come and vent and rant on here, if necessary. Could try out your arguments for another dc on us first. (though there often are not good arguments, are there, it is just 'I REALLY WANT ANOTHER CHILD, THANK YOU VERY MUCH)

ScorpiowithabigS · 01/02/2009 11:03

Twig - when you have ewcm, doing it every other day is enough. Also chart your CP - this will help then oyu will know for sure when fertile

I am mega broody. sigh. And now i have my hopes up about that test!! Suppose i am testing a few days early...

Twiglettini · 01/02/2009 11:14

Thanks, Scorpio. I knew that CP was an indicator, but have never checked it out. Thanks for that link. I used to do BBT every morning, but it is just not possible with 3 little ones as I am usually woken up by them poking me and jumping on me, so just not possible to lie there for a minute with a glass thermometer in my mouth!

Completely understand the broodiness, Scorp - don't give up hope until AF arrives.

ScorpiowithabigS · 01/02/2009 11:20

LOL at being bounced on! The boys share a room nd wake up early, but they play their ds's until getting up time...Mimi wakes up at 7ish every morning for Bf and shares our bed after, normally poking DH in the eyes

Doesnt help i bought a baby mag to look at baby stuff

Twiglettini · 01/02/2009 11:29

Also, I try and say to myself that it is ok to get hopes up before AF arrives. It is really depressing when it comes anyway. Thinking the worst beforehand doesn't make it any easier, so we might as well have a few days of being a bit excited IYSWIM X

ScorpiowithabigS · 01/02/2009 11:30

Thanks Twig

ScorpiowithabigS · 01/02/2009 12:51

MN has an ovulation calculator now, and going on last cycle on their calendar and my CP/CM notes, i'm not actually due till Thursday really, which would make me testing a bit early, yes?

Diege · 01/02/2009 14:32

Good advice there from TWIG SCORPIO . I would say that if your af isn't due until Thursday, there's lots of time yet and I've never myself had a result this early (other than neg).
MRSD, a tough situation for you there . Just hoping you can talk dh around - esp if he knows how much it means to you and was prepared to ttc at some point.TWIG, every other day from when you see EWM is fine. In fact Dr. Marilyn Glenville in her book 'Getting Pregnant faster' advises not doing it every day during fertile period to allow sperms to build up so you have a better chance of getting good ones rather than chancers . Every other day worked for us, though seemed at the time to be wasting opps when EWM was there.
KAT - good luck with your dissertation. I'm supervising a student at the mo' and he's due to see me tomorrow with his draft. Am hoping he cancels as I just can't be arsed with it if I'm honest [yawn]. I'm sure marking them is worse than writing them .
Right, better get dressed. Have been indulging myself with Nadal all morning and I'm shattered

Katonahottinroof · 01/02/2009 16:18

Hi girls

Twig - If I remember rightly from my Biology lessons you and me BDing together wouldn't really work very well
Seriously, Dh is away from tomorrow to Friday so I'm not holding out much hope for this month tbh. I'm get him tonight but then I'll have to wait unil Friday night
