Hi wondered if any one else was aiming for an August baby and fancied joining me this month to pass the time. This will be our 3rd cycle of TTC now and im on CD1 but staying positive.

My details are

Gemma C, TTC#2, usual cycle length 28-32 days, cd1

Please feel free to add yourself to the list, I would love some company.

Congratulations trying, that's great news. When I was pg I told everyone I was on a really strict diet so I couldn't drink. My voracious pregnant appetite did slightly give the game away but I got away with it most of the time.

Liahgen, sorry to hear your dh has said no more, I hope he changes his mind soon.

Olivo, I had a cs for ds and a tiny infection in my wound (I didn't even notice it, the mw said it was looking a little pinky and put me on antibiotics for a week) I conceived the first time I tried when we decided to ttc again, sadly that miscarried, but there was nothing to imply the mc was anything to do with cs, and it made me feel much happier that I could get pg that quickly after a cs because like you I was worried about my fertility afterwards.

LJ29 · 30/11/2008 14:49

Hi ladies sorry I haven't been round much. spotting started Thursday night so think AF is on its way. Absolutely gutted. Bd'd 13 times this month and just don't know what else to do. Congrats to those who have got their BFp and sorry for those who had no luck this month.

HeadFairy · 30/11/2008 15:31

aw, sorry to hear that LJ, hope the spotting stops and it's just an implantation bleed after all your heroic efforts!

Sunnydale · 30/11/2008 15:34

Congrats TryingforTallulah, splendid news! Olivo, I hadn't heard anything about ttc after a C-section but can echo Headfairy in that I had a C-section for first DC and got pregnant with second DC after literally one shag (when DD was 2.5). I also know three other women who've had no troubles with conception after a C-section... so I hope that puts your mind at rest xxx

Right, I can hear the creak of the stairs (actually, they sound like they're about to collapse) which can only mean one thing: father in law, all 22 stone of him, is off to get his train home. Loud and noisy BD'ing all round tonight! Or maybe not: might skip it tonight as def not ovulating and did manage one last night, despite looming presence of inlaws. LOL at Headfairy's quiet DH. Better than being a grunter, eh!

NewhereHelp · 30/11/2008 15:55

Hi everyone, just catching up - wow more BFPs, so impressed, def picked the right thread as a newbie

2ww begins it really feels like I am trailing behind but I am moving slowl up there, fingers crossed I make it to the special list at the bottom! If not there's always Chrismas

Keep smiling!

Jx

HeadFairy · 30/11/2008 15:56

sunnydale. Get a lovely early night with none of that messy bd'ing shenanigans!

Issy42 · 30/11/2008 16:10

Congratulations trying4tallulah .

Sorry those who got AF and sorry liahgen, hope he changes his mind.

Hope you get some answers soon those overdue for AF with BFNs. Could be that your corpus luteum hasn't collapsed properly and is still producing progesterone. I must have had one of those just after my hycosy as no cyst then but on first IUI scan I had one floating around near one of my ovaries and I had a really odd cycle the month after the hycosy too, with spotting when AF was due but real AF came 3 weeks later. Was confusing for me then when I wasn't even ttc so must be really hard for you.

Good luck everyone and keep up the daily BFPs!

SuziBhoy · 30/11/2008 17:30

hi issy ive just read your post and the part 'Could be that your corpus luteum hasn't collapsed properly and is still producing progesterone.' intrigued me. i have no idea what this is or means , but would appreciate more info please? Im trying to work out what the hell is going on with my cycle... surely the test would show up now if i was pg.

the first day of my last AF was 23rd oct..., had a day or two of spotting and still no AF or BFP. Anyone had any experience of this?

WarmSeaBreeze · 30/11/2008 17:45

Congratulations on all the BFP's!!! Lets hope they keep coming xxxx

olivo · 30/11/2008 19:57

thanks to those who've given reassurance about post c-section ttc. I guess there's nothing I can do about it anyway!

Issy42 · 30/11/2008 20:04

Hi Suzi - I'm no expert but AFAIK the follicle that releases the egg hangs around for a bit and produces progesterone until the point of implantation when something else takes over (placenta?). The follicle (corpus luteum) is supposed to dissolve, but sometimes they hang around for longer than they should and the high progesterone levels stop AF arriving. I might be talking complete bs here, but I probably got the info from fertilityfriend.com at some point. In my case I have a cyst which is an old corpus luteum that hasn't dissolved properly, but thankfully it doesn't interfere with my cycles. I have no idea how common this is and it's probably more likely that ov happened late or something, but it was just a thought. Hope you get your BFP soon.

evie2000 · 30/11/2008 20:23

just logged on to see such great news - congratulations to you both - yippeeee for the happy stories.
To all those still waiting or having confusing times I send you my love and such strenght - I really know how that feels
to those BDing - enjoy every moment!
to those in the 2 ww I send you patience and courage to resist the dreaded test AND to those of us who are just back to the start I send you more good humour than I have. I'm fine, struggling a bit this time around - not sure why but keep bursting into tears which is driving me nuts! I know it'll all be fine and there are so many worse off than I am but it's hit me this time! Anyway - in a couple of days I'll be bouncing back and ready to start again!

In the meantime have taken myself off but hope to be back to read of fabulous happy news all round very soon.

Congratulations to Babybump2b and trying4tallulah! Great news, I hope all goes well for you.

Good luck to everyone else!

Suzi, you sound so frustrated, i wish I could advise you on what's going on but don't really know, I hope it works out for you though.

Wishing, how are you today?

LJ29 · 30/11/2008 20:50

I'm thinking of trying Agnus castus to get my cycles a bit more regular. Does anyone have any experience of this?

evie2000 · 30/11/2008 20:54

Suzi, just seen you are still waiting - I can't bear it - what a bummer for you. Waiting hardest thing - anyway just sending you the answers....well - no clearly I'm not cos I don't know them I mean I'm sending you hope they soon come.

smallone · 30/11/2008 21:19

Wow such a lot has been going on! Congratulations to the new graduates!

Suzi, if your spotting was implantation, your cycle is prob longer than usual so it might take a few days to show positive. I hope you can get an answer to this sooner rather than later.

I'm on the 2ww now, not feeling too twitchy yet, I'm hoping to get to the 11th before I start thinking about it - yeah right!

I had emcs with dd, but I one of my friends has had two cs really close together and she seems to get pregnant at the meer whif of trouser.

bluesatinsash · 30/11/2008 21:21

Wow! - you go away for the weekend and another two BFPs appear!

Congratulations Babybump2b and trying4tallulah! suzi and bubble - so sorry to hear you are still in no man's land with no AF or BFP. Hope one or t'other appear soon or Doctor has some answers.

Olivo - I had C-section with DS and got BFP first month of trying back in July (although sadly ended in mc) and second month of tryin this time so fret not.

Baby dust to all x

bluesatinsash · 30/11/2008 21:22

LOL smallone - "at the meer whiff of trouser"

HomeintheSun · 01/12/2008 06:58

I think I'm out for an August baby, had a bit of bleeding last night/early thismorning was thinking it could be implantation bleeding but I've got cramps now so I don't think it is. This is only our second month really trying, but I feel quite gutted but then I feel bad for feeling like this when I know there's women on this thread that have been trying for longer, iykwim. I'm going to stay on this thread cause you're all so nice if that's ok.

Our bodies are horrible things, my temp dipped on Sunday so after a small amount feeling sorry for myself I told myself not to be stupid & look forward to Xmas drinking & trying again for a Christmas baby. I then got up this morning to take my temp expecting it to have dropped a lot for AF to arrive later...it hadn't, it didn't go up either just stayed the same which is still fairly high compared to last month, so of course I got a glimmer of hope & did a test (clearblue) & got a BFN, so back to feeling horrible again. No AF yet but its just a matter of time as clearblue are supose to pick up the hormone 3 days before AF due date & I'm due today or tomorrow at the latest, Ah well at least I can have a couple of drinks at the do tonight & not feel too guilty about it

girlwithacurl · 01/12/2008 10:14

Hello, everyone, just catching up on the weekends antics! Congratulations BabyBump2B and trying
Sorry to all those that are out for August... stay with us though, its great having all the support, I for one am Very grateful for everyones advice etc. I have also learnt so much about my body, how did I get to my age and not realise that my CM changes throughout my cycle, I had no idea, I feel like I am the most unobservant person in the world!
I find temping hard though as an insomniac, I am hoping as I never sleep well there is at least consistancy...

WarmSeaBreeze · 01/12/2008 10:27

Morning All!

Well AF arrived early for me, but I am ok about it this month.

Wishing · 01/12/2008 10:39

hello all!! congrats trying! thats fab news this really does seem to be a lucky thread - lets hope we get a few more coming through!! well i think im out ladies, no af and nosign of it but i have tested this morning and i got BFN with a cb digital so i am by no mean holding out any hope! i dont feel pg so i know i was daft, ive had some pretty bad cramps since ov and constipated but thats all - today is cd 31 and got a +ive smily face on my person on cd 13 so by my reckoning i ov cd 14/15. so is it possible to have a long lh phase??? it hasnt always been like this for up until my 1st mc i was like clockwork!!

anyway the reason why i tested before you all give me a good telling off!! .........

last night i went to a psychic night with dh who was very cynical but we thought it would be interesting and i must confess i have a very open mind about this things and do believe we are being watched over by our loved ones!! anyway the psychic asked if there was a Rachel in the room! (thats me!) and after a few minutes i put my hand up - i wont go into all the details but he was telling me stuff that he couldnt have known! and he said it was coming from a older lady on my mums side - my grandma im sure. She died when i was younger and dh never met her - i dont really talk about her too much and this pyschis was telling me stuff that ony my grandma would know! before he went on to tell us we had recently got married or i was with anyone he said your grandma wants you to know you will get your wish - he just looked at me and said your trying for a baby and dont give up. He went on to say what id been thinking - i mean exactky what id been thinking and said my grandma knew waht i was worrying about but to put those ideas about saving 5thousand for ivf cos i wouldnt need it!! Combined with the fact before he even started and he was introuducing himself he was telling us what he could do etc he went on to say that he knew there were 3 ladies in the room who could possibly be pg and looked at me and smiled - i didnt read much into tht at the time but when i went on to talk directly to me i did wonder!! ............anyway so i tested today but got a bfn!! but for the first time im not going to get upset, im going to get on with my xmas shopping and wait for af to come to town and stay stress free!! Cos i know it has to be going to happen for me now!!

for anyone who thinks ive gone nuts over night i havent - this guy was good, he did some very detailed in deepth readings to a number of people in the room and he couldnt have just known that stuff, he knew a funny detail about something that happened to my veil as well!!

well love to all hope everyone is ok!! Nive and sticky thoughts from me to anyone with a bfp - baby dust and fertile thoughts coming to anyone who is waiting for a bfp and anyone who has af to stay enjoy a large glass of wine or 2 while she is here!! xxxx

SuziBhoy · 01/12/2008 11:31

wishing i feel so emotional reading your post. that was lovely (well except from the BFN part, sorry about that). You sound like you are really head strong and together. hope you get what you want for the future x

smallone thats what im hoping for good luck on your 2ww.

Frustration is deffo the word ilikeyoursleeves, so do you know what im going to do today.......... im going to go buy another pg test. lol i did so well waiting, but this is rediculous now. im actually laughing at myself while typing this, as this isnt me, im normally V strong.

good luck to everyone testing soon

spats · 01/12/2008 13:17

just managed to log in on work computer. laptop still broken. Am on 2ww tried to do DP but didn't work too well as DH got bit stressed out by the responsibility on his shoulders and couldn't (shall we say) perform!! so did CD8, 10, 12, 14, 15, and 18 which uis a pretty good go!. Did get pos opk on CD14 so hopefully in with a chance. By the way TMI i know but if you stand up too soon do all the "little swimmers" come out? As i went to toilet once and bits came out. I did lie foir about 5 mins first though. Congrats to those with BFP, hugs for those with BFN and heres waiting for the BFP for those on the 2WW.

Wishing that sounds like someone is watching down on you, good luck for next month and please to see you are soo much more relaxed this month. x
