Anyone coming to join me?

Back from the Abyss. Hope you're all doing well!

Am officially TTCing now. Have had 1 week(ish) of it, and am now on 2ww. Think it is a waste, already had bad signs

Oh well, next month here we come...

Haven't caught up, will try to do it tonight (may take a few days!!)

roquefortlover · 18/09/2008 21:10

Hello JLtoo, nice to see you again! Know what you mean about 2WW, I am on it too but like you have PMT signs...am trying to double bluff myself by drinking wine (...I can't be pg, so I can drink...but therefore Sod's Law might mean I am actually pg). Crazy eh?

Juicylucytoo · 18/09/2008 21:12

Cece!! wow a BFP. How fab!!

Wishing you much stickiness

daisy5 · 18/09/2008 21:37

Roque - I am with you there. Last month I had terribly sore boobs and figured I was pregnant, but I wasn't. On CD19 this month and have sore boobs again, so figure I am not pregnant and will enjoy a glass or three of wine this weekend, but in the back of my mind thinking 'Sod's Law'.

roquefortlover · 18/09/2008 21:40

Ooh Daisy, we are practically cycIe buddies (not sure I like that phrase but hey ho) - I am CD20 and also have sore boobs. Glad someone else follows my twisted logic!

roquefortlover · 18/09/2008 21:42

that's cycle..

cece · 18/09/2008 21:53

Well this last month I had no symptoms whatsoever oh and I had a bit of a drinking binge one night the weekend before my BFP... So keep up the wine intake I say Please have one for me!

Still not heard from hospital about my early scan

roquefortlover · 18/09/2008 21:56

Sorry you haven't heard about the scan cece. Know what you mean about symptoms - when I've been pg before have never had any till after af was due so for me absence of symptoms is a symptom iyswim!

rhetorician · 18/09/2008 23:08

you lot will drive yourselves nuts with the symptoms that might be symptoms, the symptoms that aren't symptoms but therefore they are actually symptoms...I too am horribly familiar with the alcohol double bluff.

glad things have livened up a bit in here; was beginning to worry about you all

KiwiKat · 18/09/2008 23:48

Haven't been on for a while but just wanted to say to Cece, Fab news! Am thrilled for you.

daisy5 · 19/09/2008 11:30

tee hee rhet perfectly expressed - after the exhaustion of last month's 'think I'm pregnant' episode, the only thing left methinks is to bonk at the right time and live life normally. I don't think I have any emotional energy left (you could quiz me again next week though!!!) for the next month or two.

So hopefully from the craziness I have found some calm!!!

Heh cycle buddy roque lets compare notes in a week or so....

kiwikat - assume you are a kiwi...me too....and my daughter is currently crazy about this lovely book titled 'The Kiwi Who Was Afraid of the Dark". It makes me homesick for the NZ bush.

rowingboat · 19/09/2008 12:50

Hiiiii!
I'm so glad to be back. I know you are probably thinking 'back?!', but my internet went on the wonk and I just re-connected about 5 mins ago. Of course the first thing I did was check this thread.
Waving furiously!
I agree Rhet, you do need to frequent different bars from your students. First of all they might have to carry you home, and you don't want them to know where you live. Also you might borrow money to buy a round and they could hold it over and demand 95% for their next assignment.
It is day 10 for us and we didn't manage to bd on day 8. Had a giganto row and even though DP was still willing, I was in a sulk.
We managed yesterday and hope to again today later.
Fingers crossed you Daisy and Roque - you cycle buddies you!

Tabitha88 · 19/09/2008 18:58

Hi all. I've been away as well, but that's because my computer had a virus. It's feeling much better now, though. Cece, very pleased for you and good luck with your scan and yours as well, Ladymac. It's very exciting and I can't wait to hear your news in a few days' time.

Juicylucytoo · 19/09/2008 20:09

RFL - I am taking your advice tonight. Sounds like a plan

Feel like I need it anyway. Had a shit day, lost my DS in the park and he nearly made it onto the road. Feel like shit mum and need alcohol to mask the guilt.

Sure I will feel more philosophical tomorrow. Just emotionally shagged tonight.

Good luck with the scans Cece and Ladymac xx

roquefortlover · 19/09/2008 23:09

Oh, juicylucy, what a shame. It has happened to me a couple of times - once my dd escaped and was brought back to me by a passer by who clearly thought I was neglectful and this summer ds2 ran out into a road in France and we couldn't stop him. Luckily no traffic but still.

Glass of wine a good remedy esp. if accompanied by chocolate!

Right, must go now - dh back from business trip and rather frowning on my Mnetting ( not that it is preventing anything else - he is knackered and it is CD 20/21 so i am not really interested....)

rowingboat · 20/09/2008 18:06

Juicy, I hope you are feeling a bit better today. It's horrible when dangerous things happen, but it was all OK. You can't control everything, so don't be hard on yourself.
My DS crawled under a gate SAS style and escaped. I was still on the other side of the gate, frantically searching for the key. He disappeared round the corner and stood in the middle of the road at the road junction. Meanwhile a gigantic lorry was coming down the road, but very slowly. By the time I got out DS was standing holding hands with a very worried looking man and the lorry driver had stopped.
Very, very scary.

sussexoldspot · 20/09/2008 19:46

Hello, everyone!

Just wanted to duck in and say how happy I am for you, cece! Go, 40+ers! Yay! Also, loads of luck with the scans to you and to you, too ladymac. Will be waiting for good news with baited breath.

Have been up in Lincolnshire visiting the folks. Felt an extreme need to see my mother after mc2. She said lots of comforting Northern-Mum things like "Don't look back, just look forward to your new kitchen. That'll make you feel much better" . Maybe if it was a Smallbone one things would be different .....

We've got a referral to see a fertility specialist and am starting acupuncture next Sat. We're also, um, hard at it TTC naturally, too (tmi, so sorry).

Have a great weekend, everyone.

sussexoldspot · 20/09/2008 19:59

'bated' breath. Tut!

Juicylucytoo · 20/09/2008 20:58

Thanks Rowing and RFL - feeling better today. Still feel naucious (sp?) when I think of it. Had funny anxious nightmares, but not directly associated with lossing DS. Anyway thanks to whatever DS slept through. He certainly chose a good night to do it.

Good luck sussex with your TTCing. Always worth a try

rowingboat · 21/09/2008 13:20

Hi everyone - I didn't even notice the 'baited' Sussex. There's something about typing on the internet that seems to cause your ability to spell to degenerate. I mean ones ability, or is that one's? [I need help face]
Day 12 for us and we have bd'd on day 9 and 11. 9 was great, 11 was a bit because I was dog tired and we thought we should.
I'm taking a cough syrup with guaifenisin or whatever it's called, for the CM, but it plays up my sinuses.
I'm glad to hear you feel a bit more relaxed now Juicy.

cece · 21/09/2008 17:14

rowingboat and everyone else mid cycle - you go girls

I did a car boot this morning. First time on my own. DH came a bit later with the kids and pointed out it was a bit silly selling the kids old clothes as hopefully we will be needing some of them Didn't even occur to me to link the two - BFP equals need for clothes for new baby.

Maybe it is my way of dealing with the risk of mc ? Pretend I am not pg till past the danger period...

rhetorician · 21/09/2008 17:31

well good for you cece - suggests that you are not obsessing about it too much either...or just repressing maybe? Anyway, a good excuse to buy really cute new ones? Good luck to those of you entering the TWW (cos i'm sitting out a cycle) but also glad not to have to worry about sphamptoms (just spliced together 'symptom' and 'phantom' and see what came out!!). Nearly at CD1 (Weds or Thurs) so back in the game. Feel good about this one - ah, there's no logic in this game, is there?

rowingboat · 21/09/2008 18:43

I think you are right to get rid of the clutter Cece, half the time you don't actually need the stuff anyway. We have stacks of clothes which were barely worn.
As Rhet says, you can justify the purchase of some gorgeous little outfits now.
Not long to go now Rhet, get the out the Barry White CD and the wine cooler.

cece · 21/09/2008 19:06

Anyway the clothes that didn't go today are now in the loft. We have them for both flavours, so should be prepared for what ever we get!

fruitbowl · 21/09/2008 21:34

Rhet - "Sphamptoms" - like it! like it! Altho it did just take me about 5 mins to try and type it out!

I have no symptoms CD26 but would like some - could that be NOMPTOMS? or ZILCHTOMS? or WISHTOMS?

OK I'm talking utter carp now!
