Hi All,

This is a difficult time for most women (and men) I think.

Certainly for me, I've waited a long time to get to this stage , having not met Mr Right until the age of 31. Now 34 and got married 2 months ago and now want to complete the family!

So, just started "trying" for a baby and due to my impatient nature, have already started using Ovulation Kits. (Probably not a good idea). I also did the Female Fertility Test and that seemed to have a good result aswell.

I was on Dianette for 8 years and came off of it 3 years ago. My cycles became regular again but every 5 weeks instead of 4. I had previously come off of the pill for 6 months and my cycles were regular, so I guess all this is a good sign.

Anyone else had similar experiences and fallen pregnant quickly? I know everyone's different but any good news stories help move us all along!! .

xx

crunchy i am totally there on the wine thing - I kind of think, well I (hopefully!!!!) will have a fair few months off, so I should enjoy it while I can... And then on the other hand... Anyway... We are back from our picnic.. And now I am feeling scared about the whole thing.. How can it be that the thing you think you want the most, can also be bloody terrifying??!!!

Bonifacio · 22/07/2008 03:34

BSL & Flirty what do you mean the height thing?? I'm short too, do I need this special pram!!

Last night I had a G&T while arguing discussing with DP about folic acid. He thinkgs I should just take nothing as he really hates the idea of putting chemicals in my body and thinks if I need extra I should eat foods with more in it. Is that realistic at all?

eth I am sure that a glass of champers will get you in the mood for plenty of bd'in....and that can;t be a bad thing!!

I hate that I have to wait for evrybody to get up!!

Bonifacio · 22/07/2008 03:42

I like the idea of the stokke (just looked at it) but it looks a little futuristic I think!

DawnAS · 22/07/2008 08:16

Hey B,

I think maybe you need to pull up a webpage on the benefits of Folic Acid. You could live on Tomatoes all day but still not get enough (probably) of what you need. It really is a massive benefit to the baby and needs to be taken particularly in the first 12 weeks to ensure that the baby develops properly!!

I have to say that my DH is being less than sympathetic aswell. I'm really exhausted at the moment (hoping I'm PG...) and he keeps saying things like, "Is this what the next 9 months are going to be like, you moaning all the time!". I spoke to my friend last night and she laughed saying that her DH was exactly the same. They just don't see anything (yet) from an external point of view and they just don't understand the massive changes that are going on inside us!! Bloody men!!

So all, I have no bloody idea what you're talking about in relation to the prams. I've just seen one in Argos that I like - . And what's this height thing?! I'm 5ft 8 and wish I was shorter, what's height got to do with a pram?!!

B,

Just to reiterate, I meant pull up a webpage for your DH by the way - you already know the benefits!!

Morning all. On CD32 now and witch should be arriving any minute but I've had NO symptoms yet - very bizarre!! Also my (.)(.) got massive last week and now they're back to normal again, which is also very odd because normally they get massive a few days before witch arrives, then get smaller after a day or two of the witch.

Am I just spotting imaginary symptoms???

Aaarrggghhhhh!

Bonifacio · 22/07/2008 09:12

I read him a load of stuff last night, I think my best option at the minute is to take the 5mg ones, they say that women who have experienced problems before should take that amount so it can't cause a problem surely??

Dawn The Stokke pram has adjustable everything, let me try a link (never done one before) Stokke pram

But I am in love with the Quinny, even more so than the bugaboo, I like the 3 wheelers.

Kalikaroo lets hope that the witch doesn't arrive and you are pg!!

summerbird · 22/07/2008 09:28

MOrning everyone

woah thats funky! i am an ickle 5ft 3in so that type of thing would be good for me and DH who is almost 6ft!

bluestarlavender · 22/07/2008 09:59

Morning guys!!

Brown CM day for me!! Yay!! So AF will start either today or tomorrow! Thank goodness, now I can crack on with the 'summer of love'!! PLus my cycle is a little shorter than I thought!! Even better!

Summerbird, I'm 5ft 3 and DH is 6ft too!! I love love love the Xplory, but still trying to keep practical head screwed on. The steering on it is fantastic, but we do want something that's a bit more rugged as we spend alot of time outdoors...DH is a amateur wildlife photographer.

B - I think so long as you are taking some folic acid that's the important thing. You could also try eating some of the foods with high folic acid to supplement the supplements ()

Eth - congratulations on your wedding anniversary!! DH and I got hitched just over 6 months ago!! We completely missed the 6 month mark, but DH has already booked for us to go somewhere in January! Fortunately I should still be able to fly even if I get a BFP next month!!

Crunchy - now that my AF is here, I'm planning all kinds of bad food and drink! I want to take full advantage of the 'break'

BSLx

Linwin · 22/07/2008 10:56

Hi girlies,

All these weird names for prams - my sister bought one called Loola Bebe - who on earth comes up with these things? It is nice though.

I havent' said hello yet eth37 - welcome to the madness! I'm totally with you on the whole being scared as hell thing. Was in Bluewater last night shopping and loads of really horrid cheeky kids running around. My poor DH looked terrified - now I can't look at babies and children without wondering "will ours be as bad / good as them"

Has anyone started temping yet? flirty? I think I really want to give it a try but no idea how to start really. I'm even contemplating digging out the booklet we got on our pre-marriage course on "natural family planning"! Lol.

crunchynutter · 22/07/2008 11:01

I like that pram! Who would have thought we would want to spend that much money on something you push eh? lol- just for the update on me- boobs (particularly nipple area) is still very sore- still no AF or anything even close! all very quiet...

Do you think folic acid in cornflakes will be enough? lol i am commencing with the diet! xx

FlirtyThirty · 22/07/2008 11:10

Hey Linwin...I'm a temping fanatic!
Get thee to Boots and purchase a 'basal temperature thermometer' - ie. one with 2 decimal places!

Lots of the girls on here use Fertility Friend - www.fertilityfriend.com - to record their readings as it 'predicts' when you OV based on the info you put in. I use that but also chart ona a spreadsheet too, as I like to see my cycles ona a graph together - I find it easier to spot patterns that way. (By the way, I realise I am a sad obsessive to be doing this...but my little spreadsheet keeps me hopeful!)

I'm very hopeful for the next 2 months...have no reason whatsoever for this, just feeling optimistic! Hoping my bubble isn't badly burst...

Hey all!!

I've just got our first BFP - - may the BFPs continue!!!

I'm so getting one of those T-shirts printed now!!

The test line came up in about 10 seconds, even though it's mid-morning and I've drunk some tea and I'm not due on until tomorrow - all good!!!
