I couldn't see that anyone's started a thread for September yet. Seeing as it's tomorrow thought I'd start one now. Seems AF arrived for a few of us at the same time so looks like we'll be in sync over the coming months.
How is everyone doing?

Thank you for the words of solidarity. I know you've been in it a while too. It can be really shit, it doesn't help that the disappointment is compounded by the usual hormone crash each month either, just makes it 10x worse!

Yep, 11 months now. Either about to start my period on Wednesday or having an anovulatory cycle. So also feeling crap and sick of the whole thing. Eating all my feelings at the moment. Keep thinking that it’s going to be this month and then nothing.

Went swimming today and there was the most adorable 4 month old, but it made me feel so sad and empty. And I hate that I feel like that!!

Hello, please could I also join? I am 2 DPO with my 1st round of letrozole ☺️xx

Aw, I know the feeling you mean. It's possible to appreciate a beautiful little baby and also feel sad that it hasn't happened for you yet. When I get those spikes of sadness I let myself feel it and remind myself it hurts because it's important to me and that's ok.

Just updating since I've been around these threads for a while now (TTC #1 for 12+ months). I had my Hycosy procedure on Monday and it was much easier than I expected. I wasn't sure what to expect as there are such varying experiences of this scan so I took some quite strong painkillers in advance of it (cocodamol and ibuprofen) but it was honestly fine, very much the same level of discomfort as a smear for me.
They were able to clearly visualise one ovary and tube and that tube is open but the other ovary wasn't showing clearly as it seemed to be near/behind my bowel? So the gynaecologist couldn't see the fluid coming from that tube. So it seems that I have at least 1 working tube and the other one is inconclusive. I am also ovulating from the 'good' side this month so fingers crossed something may happen. We came home from the procedure and DTD immediately and yesterday also. 😂 Really hoping for the fertility boost many women get after hycosy.

Good luck to everyone else in it this month 🩷

Glad to hear your hycosy went well. I've been away for a couple of weeks so not been on the boards at all but glad to see your update. We got our SA analysis results back last week, all good except 2% morphology so who knows but maybe that's what's taking so long, fingers crossed you get your fertility boost. The end of this cycle marks a year for me, I'm due on tomorrow and so far testing negative. I'm really past caring now. Like I still want it to happen but it's hard to put so much energy in to tracking/worrying each month. I didn't get the crushing sadness people get at 12m, honestly just living my life and it will happen when it happens, hope you're doing ok 💕

Cycle 14 and I can feel AF gearing up for expected arrival tomorrow.
What an absolutely disgusting slap in the face. this is. Just done with it all now, at the point now where if it happens I won't even be excited because I'm just over all of it. Bad enough dealing with the health service for your own health needs let alone that of your unborn child.

Sorry to see this update, just replied to another message of yours. I was catching up on the last 2 weeks. I'm also entering cycle 14 tonight/tomorrow, started with cramps tonight. Take care of yourself as best you can. Sorry you're also part of this crappy girl gang. 💞

@cmg91 I remember you from previous monthly threads! Congratulations!! So happy for you!!! Got everything crossed for you ❤️

Thank you so much! It is very early but the line progression is strong even at 11dpo. We have our first reassurance scan booked in with our pre-term consultant in three weeks. It’s going to be a long wait 😂

Rolling into cycle 12 - how do you stay upbeat when it’s such a rollercoaster

Lucyloop99 · 28/10/2026 19:00

Hey everyone. Was here a few weeks ago, when I got my positive test.
Its been a turbulent few weeks, mentally.
Im not in the best situation with babies dad!
But were working through it.

I had a scan on the 19th, dated 6 weeks.4 days. So im 8 weeks tomorrow now I think.

First midwife appointment next week too :)

Amazing to see your little baby growing! Congratulations!! Does it feel more real following your scan?

have you had any sickness?

Definately. I had an ectopic PUL last year, so was a relief to see baby in the right place.
First few weeks I was very nauseous, dizzy. I could manage bare minimum then have to lie down again..
Its settled a bit now, get nauseous sometimes more very hungry and very tired !
Eating little and often is helping!

I think at 12 months you can start to feel a bit numb rather than crushing sadness..it's a normal reaction to being disappointed again and again, you just want to protect yourself. It's ok to be sad but it's also ok if you start to lose interest in tracking etc. I definitely have and we haven't tried as hard the last couple of months, I've been monitoring it with my app but not as often as I was. As long as you DTD regularly you have a good chance and it's good to give yourself a bit of a mental break from it at times.

My period hasn't actually arrived yet, my cycle length sometimes varies a bit and it was due any time from Monday to today really so I'm trying to to get my hopes up. We're away visiting family this week so I've not been able to test yet but I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and test tomorrow if it still hasn't arrived. I hate testing now as it's always been negative so far so I can't even imagine getting a different result and it's so crushing, I'd just rather my period arrive honestly.

Sorry to hear about your ectopic PUL. Glad things are going well for this pregnancy. I used sea bands with my daughter for sickness/ nausea. Ended up on medication as it was bad but I’d recommend trying them.

Have you thought about whether you will find out baby’s gender?

I did use those for my previous pregnany. As I just felt so poorly all the time.
This time it's very on and off nausea so course im worrying something is wrong because im not as sick as last time 🤣
Was tempted to book a scan this weekend but trying to be patient.

We will definately be finding out. Ill be 16 weeks around xmas week, so we will have a private scan then to find out.
Think we're both wanting a boy .

Where are you in the cycle?

I know what you mean about symptoms being reassuring. Every pregnancy is different but it’s hard not to worry. How lovely to find out before Christmas! Hope you get your little boy!

I thought I was 11DPO but I may have ovulated later so I’m not sure. I had a little bit of light brown spotting today so I’m thinking I’m out. But hoping it’s implantation bleeding. But it could be start of AF 😵‍💫

StillWingingIt97 · 30/10/2026 08:50

I waited a couple of hours then did a first response. When would a digital start to show? I feel like i need to see the words written out as it just doesnt feel real.
Ive never had a positive before, but normally kid myself every month of symtoms and normally have stomach cramps up to a week before AF. I havent had anything this month, the only different thing would be i have swollen gums on onr side of my mouth... but online suggests that isnt connected anyways. I only started bbt last month so dont know my normal pattern but it was a high reading this morning at 11dpo so though I would just test

@StillWingingIt97 congratulations!! That’s brilliant news! I can see both of those lines clearly. I’d say they are still quite faint, so try a digital in maybe three days time. Thinking of the different threshold levels of the tests, and the hcg doubling time.

How are you feeling?

Thank you! Im feeling ok, no real symptoms yet. Its a mix of excitement and fear that it won't last. Just told my partner when he got back from work and as the lines are faint he is holding off on feeling excited and wants to see what it shows in a few days time

Maomee · 30/10/2026 23:43

So this happened 😮 after 13/14 cycles and most recently one hycosy. I do feel sure the hycosy helped. And after I was sure AF was coming when I had cramps last Sunday! Been slightly crampy all week but I now know why! Completely over the moon, my partner and I have been beaming all day.

Can I ask what DPO you were when your cramps started? I’m in middle of the TWW and this is where my symptom spotting usually starts!
