I couldn't see that anyone's started a thread for September yet. Seeing as it's tomorrow thought I'd start one now. Seems AF arrived for a few of us at the same time so looks like we'll be in sync over the coming months.
How is everyone doing?

Ah yeah last month I had the backache super early and thought I was in with a chance and then I came on three days early when I’m usually so regular.

I will test again in a day or two but I think if it wasn’t an evap I’d have had another pale squinter this morning?

Caggie09 · 01/09/2026 09:03

Joining from the August thread. Cycle 2 for the first. Going to try to relax a bit more this month and try not to think too much into it. Which is easier said than done. 🤪

Oh I’m sorry you went through the same thing. I also had my left tube removed. It’s so hard knowing that if we ovulate from the side of no tube our chances are even slimmer than normal! Sending you lots of love and baby dust ✨

Thank you - you too! 💐 xx

Dpo13 bfn. I just want AF to come now. I really hope I ovulated so I can start my cycle again. Not cramping today so a bit worried it won’t start soon.

Joining also from August thread. Currently 7dpo and the wait feels long! Does anyone else get vivid dreams throughout their luteal phase? I get it every time and wake up feeling so tired after some dreams

I do! Really weird ones!

I am really sorry. But how are you sure that you are 13dpo if you are not sure if you ovulated?

I had positive lh strips for two days before they faded, so would have been around then, but I’m aware with PCOS how I can try to ovulate many times in a cycle. I went from Feb - June this year without bleeding. :(

So sorry you are going through this too. I have a GP (telephone) appointment next week. I’ve wanted to start investigating things for a while but I didn’t think they’d help until we’d been trying for a year. Can I ask, how long did it take you to get a fertility appointment once you were referred? I’ve been looking into private too as really worried about long waiting lists. Also because we have a child, we’d not be eligible for any IVF etc.

I totally get you. We have also put things on hold thinking we would be pregnant. TTC completely takes over when it’s been going on for this long. The unknown is so difficult isn’t it! I’ve been down a total rabbit hole of researching why I might not be getting/staying pregnant 🤦🏼‍♀️ it’s very hard not to when it’s coming up to a year! The age gap does bother me but I feel like I’ve had to try and put that to the back of my mind a little now. I will just be so grateful to get pregnant now no matter the age gap.

It's probably area dependent but it's all moved really quickly for us. We had our GP appointment at the end of July and she did the referral that same day. She told us that couples she referred 5 months ago were only just getting their appointments through so I mentally prepared for Dec/Jan. We actually got a call within a few weeks and they booked us in for our first consultation which is in a few days so all in all a month from the referral to the first appointment.

They sent us a check list of all the bloods we needed so check that carefully as the GP actually missed some off. I'd already gone in for my CD2-5 blood test and some initial baseline ones so I just got the other ones done when I went back for my CD21 test. All of the blood tests came back within 24 hours and everything was normal. They also referred for an ultrasound. She said the wait was about 6 weeks but I've not heard anything for that yet. Annoyingly, my husband came to the July appointment as I'd made it clear when booking in that it was for both of us but she woudn't also do his referrals when she did mine. She said he had to wait another month for a seperate appointment so he's only just had his referral done a few days ago and now on the waiting list for a sperm analysis.

I did think about maybe paying private but then I thought it's probably not going to change anything getting the results slightly faster when we're already being seen by the clinic so soon. They can still see you even if you haven't got all of your results back. Don't be afraid to chase them and follow things up.

Cycle day 1 of cycle 12 today. Feeling surprisingly optimistic.

Waitingarcenciel · 01/09/2026 15:43

I’m also cycle day 1. The first time I have aligned with the actual calendar I think. First pregnancy ended in miscarriage about a year ago and second was a missed miscarriage in the spring. I’ve had some testing done and things not looking great. We will continue ttc naturally while waiting for dh to get tested then decide what to do next. Looking forward to supporting each other on this thread this month and staying optimistic.

Sorry to hear this. I think quite a few of us on this thread are on a similar timeline with similar stories. Hoping for the best for you for this cycle. 💐

Joining from August, going into my 3rd cycle now TTC No2. We are getting a puppy on Sunday so that will be a nice distraction from the TWW! Good luck everyone ❤️

Thank you OP for creating the lastest ttc thread. Today is 10 dpo. As usual I am just going to assume I will start my 9th postpartum cycle this Thursday/Friday. No guesswork, not feeling mentally drained and just getting on with my life with calm and hope, I wish everyone good luck!😀

Joining from the last thread, was cycle 11 TTC and my cycles are usually very regular but my period was due last Saturday and hasn't arrived and all I'm getting is BFN since then. Had a tiny tiny amount of light brown discharge the past few days but it's definitely not a period..I do feel it could start soon just sick of being in limbo..I guess I must have ovulated a fair bit after I usually do, or maybe not at all :/

Oh no! I had the same happen to me in June, basically skipped a period, it was really really stressful. I have no advice but didn't want to read and run.

AF arrived bang on time. I’m actually really happy I was able to find out when I ovulated and know when my period was going to be. First time since I was 14 I’ve been able to do this and I’m 35 now 😂

gonna have a glass of wine tonight and not be too hard on myself.

Thanks for replying, I remember we were expecting our AF at the same time last cycle! 🩷
I have no idea what's going on, as I've had cramps/sensations of AF for almost a week now but only seen this slightly tinged discharge and that's all. Boobs also been so uncomfortable too when they never usually are but I think my hormones are just going mental due to whatever is going on.

Olivia2024 · Yesterday 11:50

I posted recently in this forum about a test that I thought was positive and sadly I got my period after so maybe it was a chemical or a dodgy test :-( today I took my son to school for his first day back and his best friends parents were there at the gate and told me “they had some news” how does everyone deal with everyone else’s happy news when you’re deflated yourself? I can’t even talk to my friends about this as everyone is pregnant. Sending baby dust to us all. Anyway I’m thinking to try SMEP this month - anyone else tried this?

I'm so sorry 😥it feels like a punch in the gut doesn't it. I always found it easier being told over text so I don't have to worry about reacting correctly.

What is SMEP?

What is SMEP?

Having sex before ovulation, preferably a day or two max before, so the sperm is already there to meet the egg. Think it’s pretty standard now as I think most people are having sex pretty regularly throughout the whole fertile period and not only once at ovulation.

i think it also has you trying every day once you find your peak but other research suggests every other day and just day of peak and day after as the only consecutive days as otherwise you’re gonna get really burnt out and the conception chances don’t change noticeably.
