The previous OPs have gotten their BFPs so I have cheekily created this one just hoping that I could get lucky. Hahaha. 😅 Silly, right ?
A bit about me - currently trying to conceive baby No.2 and this is my 4th postpartum cycle.
So I wish everyone good luck and lots of baby dust! 🤞

Today is CD6. To be honest, I have not been thinking about ttc since AF started. Now it is coming to the end, I will have to think about it again.

Hi! I will join this thread as hoping to TTC no.2 when AF arrives next month. Good luck to you this cycle!

LucyCL · 25/04/2026 19:29

Today is CD8 and I have started to track CBT since last night. My body tends to ovulate on CD18. It does feel like a long time. 😅

Wishing you lots of luck for this cycle @LucyCL! it is such a long wait between all the different stages of TTC isn’t it. I’m pretty sure I’ve started perimenopause as my cycles the last 6 months have been all over the place, when I used to be like clockwork. Makes the waiting even more painful as I just don’t know when to expect my period 😩

Thank you! Although I don’t have perimenopause, I can imagine it is really hard to predict each cycle and know what your body is doing. I am experiencing something similar and I am still trying to figure out what my body is doing and what each cycle is like after giving birth. This is my 4th postpartum cycle so I am hoping that it will go back to what it was like previously.

The uncertainty of it all is frustrating that’s for sure. I’m trying to look ahead and plan roughly when we would be needing to TTC but with a cycle that’s varying by +/- 10 days each month now it’s hard to predict. Hopefully your cycles will return back to how they were once they settle down post partum, mine did go back to normal once they returned thankfully. But that was nearly 4 years ago and things have gone a bit haywire since then unfortunately 🙈

I am sure you are familiar with measuring BBT and using OPKs. They will help you to determine the O day. Previously I was only using CBT (core body temperature ) and for this cycle I have decided to test LH as well. I had a fever two nights before so that messed up the accuracy of CBT data and now I am glad that I am testing LH as the back up method.

OP posts:
LucyCL · 01/05/2026 07:13

Today is CD14. Based on LH strips, yesterday morning my body was trying to ovulate but failed and I had a bit of egg white-like discharge which makes me believe that my estrogen level is rising and I am now at the beginning of the fertile window.

Hey! I am going to jump on this thread if you don't mind :) Me and my husband are going to start trying in May again, we had a MMC last March at 8 weeks, then other life events happened so were feeling in a really good place now to start trying again! :) sending lots of luck to everyone xxx

Poppybloom55 · 02/05/2026 08:37

I’ll join as period is due tomorrow, negative test so on we go to Mays cycle! Anyone with similar dates? I’m expecting my ovulation to be around the 16th - 18th May. Really hoping it’s a success because otherwise I’ll have my June period on my holiday 🥴

Thanks for the advice, I have heard of using BBT and OPKs but haven’t used them personally yet. I have the Clearblue Advanced Fertility monitor and that’s been really handy for the last 2 times I’ve TTC as it measures both hormones to pinpoint O day. I’ll see how I go using that again this time, but if I’m not having much luck I will definitely give the BBT and OPKs a go!

This is interesting that is shows you were trying to ovulate but didn’t, does the line get darker and then lighter? Sorry I’ve not used them before so just curious. That’s great they’re so accurate. I think I had a cycle like that just gone, I had days and days of EWCM and then AF was a week late, I’m wondering if that was maybe a delayed/failed ovulation cycle 🤔

I have used Clearblue Advanced Fertility monitor before and it was really good. If the current cycle does not work out, I will use it for the following ones.
I will share the screenshot of my LH tests from CD13. I got 0.77 on CD13 then it got lighter again and remained that way. That is how I knew my body failed to ovulate. Also this happened before when I was trying for baby #1. So testing LH twice a day lets me know exactly when I start to have LH surge then I am able to pinpoint the O day.

Today is CD17. Just got my LH surge so I will ovulate on CD18 as expected. If not pregnant, I’d still be happy if the luteal phase could last a bit longer. It lasted for 10 days for the previous cycle, so hopefully 11 days this time?😅

That is really interesting, thanks for sharing, I can see what you mean when looking at your screenshots. It’s so good to be able to know exactly what your body is doing and when. I’m glad you’ve also found the fertility monitor good previously, I was really impressed with it and will use it again once AF arrives this month.

I’d love to join! Had one postpartum period and now CD20 got 3 peaks of 1.5 last month before finally ovulating. Now Cd20 and no peak yet, 0.75 on Wednesday but nothing higher. Feeling quite let down by my body

I feel you. I got my 1st postpartum period when the baby was almost 9 months old. Then I stopped breastfeeding in the same cycle. My first three postpartum cycles lasted 31 days, 27 days and 28 days. I only measured CBT daily and started to test LH this cycle. To be honest, I don’t know if I ovulated previously. The only thing I know is I might have a short luteal phase however it is getting longer ( based on the CBT data). I have been told that it takes 4 - 6 cycles for our body to regulate back to normal. I know it is frustrating however your body will get there eventually. Fingers crossed for you.

anyone on 8DPO? I have been in such a foul mood from last night to today I’m not sure if it’s also a little anxiety from testing. This is our first time TTC in over a year after a MM 2024 and CM 2025. You quickly forget the emotions you go through on this journey 🤦‍♀️🫠🥲

kate1998 · 06/05/2026 14:29

@Buttercup30 I am also on 8dpo and already feel demotivated. I had a CM 3 months ago. I have no signs of implantation and it is stressing me out. 🥺🌸

Haha, looks like we’re in sync again this month 😆 My Flo app says my fertile window is 13th–19th May, but I’ll be using ovulation tests too. I’m usually most fertile around cycle days 11–14, with my peak day typically on day 13, so we’ll be focusing on those days!

It’s really hard isn’t it because you want to test but know it’s too soon. So sorry you had a CM it’s an awful thing mentally to go through. In my previous pregnancies I had no signs of implantation but i did notice thing started to taste funny

Hi all!

Wanted to join this thread jumping straight from the April/May one.

This is our first ttc cycle and I’m on CD1 - very long cycles ranging 31-33 days so I’ve got a long wait to ovulation. We haven’t really been trying although were quite careless last month causing a glimmer of hope when my period was late so was a bit dejected when AF finally showed but trying to go in optimistic!

I’ve got stage 4 endometriosis and lots of adhesions so a bit nervous but otherwise I’m 24, husband is 25 turning 26 and I usually get quite good tracking through CM so hopefully that means I’m ovulating regularly. Haven’t tried OPK strips but I want to try first without before getting into all of that.

Nervous but excited, trying so hard not to go down a rabbit hole but can’t seem to help myself. Has anyone got any positive stories of TTC with stage 4 endo?

Ah yeah we are!! Fingers crossed this is our month! Do you start ovulation testing soon as you finish your period? Today is CD4 for me and periods finishing so I’ll be testing from tomorrow for LH

Hi!

Just wanted to give you a glimmer of hope, I have endometriosis too, although I’m not sure which stage it was, my consultant said it was ‘moderate’ and I have so many adhesions. I have managed to conceive on the first try both times I have TTC previously, I count my lucky stars every day! I wish the same for you too. I’m not feeling confident that it’ll happen that quickly for us this time round, as I’m a lot older now! Have you had your tubes checked during your surgeries to see if they’re open?
