The previous OPs have gotten their BFPs so I have cheekily created this one just hoping that I could get lucky. Hahaha. 😅 Silly, right ?
A bit about me - currently trying to conceive baby No.2 and this is my 4th postpartum cycle.
So I wish everyone good luck and lots of baby dust! 🤞

Hi :) how’s your journey going, where abouts in your cycle are you now?

I’ve had unusually sore nips since around 5po. No other symptoms though, except I usually spot for 3-5 days before my period and that hasn’t started, which it usually would have by now. I tested again today, I’m addicted lol! It was negative. I’ve ordered some cheap tests so I can test every day for the next few days.

I got my bfp around 11/12dpo with my others, so if I haven’t got one in the next 2 days I will assume AF is coming.

The waiting game is so frustrating!

I am currently on CD9 of a 35 day cycle so still just waiting it out, finally finished my period yesterday so looking forward to ovulation and all of the symptom spotting I’ll inevitably be doing 😂

Honestly though I’m also trying to relax a bit too as I know stress isnt good for ttc - I’m a secondary school teacher and feel like I’m going a bit mad with all of the exam stress and finishing off my own training too.

Keep us posted if you do any more tests - I know how bad the temptation can be!

@DancingThroughLife02 Thank you! 10 dpo was when I got my BFPs. I admit that it is really hard not to test tomorrow (10 dpo). 😅 But this cycle I am doing something different - I am going to take the opportunity to practise self control and being at peace with myself. I will wait until AF arrives unless CBT tells a different story then I will test this Sunday.

@cmg91 I am sorry for your losses and I really hope your dream will come true soon.

@BoyMamma33 I also bought a box of cheap easy at home pregnancy tests at the end of last cycle because I wasted 3 first response tests for the first previous 3 cycles.

I have been having vivid dreams, waking up a lot and wanting to pee during the night since 6/7 dpo. I usually sleep better when AF arrives. I welcome either the beginning of a new cycle or a BFP which also means terrible sleep (oh well). 😆

Edited

The joys of the TWW 🥲

Keep us posted @LucyCL (even if you do an early test)!

I’m getting in my head about my Apple Watch temperatures and convinced I’m out.

Ahh it’s so hard not knowing isn’t it! And constantly on your mind. I imagine the exam stress must be a lot! When do you think you’ll test? I’ve wasted money on clear blue early tests and first response and I think I’ve done them all too early! 7-10dpo! I’m now 11dpo and waiting on the cheapies to arrive so I will test again once they’re here!

@LucyCL when are you going to start testing? It’s so hard to wait isn’t it, and so much money wasted!

sorry I can’t see who posted it now I’ve started replying but someone mentioned about body temp on their Apple Watch, mine is all over the show! It was 36.3 yday morn then 36.6 in the afternoon and this morning 36.1 so if I’m going by that, then this could be my dip before AF. Are you testing at the same time every day? I think this is where I’m going wrong. X

DancingThroughLife02 · 14/05/2026 10:20

I’ve got a while to go still, I usually can hold out until day off period but I’ve just bought cheap LH strips which I’ll start using in about 3/4 days to see when my peak is.

I think the watch takes the temperature continuously through the night although not 100% sure. I can’t do BBT as I am cosleeping and wake up 10+ times a night and also final wake up varies hugely.

my wrist temperature is 36.27 today, was 36.68 yesterday, 36.92 the day before and 37.06 the day before that. As this is my first cycle I’m not sure when AF is due but I assume not for a while as I’m only 6-7DPO

BoyMamma33 · Yesterday 06:12

@HappyBlueDonkey ahh yeah I guess it’s difficult to read it if you’re co sleeping. I wouldn’t take much notice of it and just wait to test.

I tested yday with cheapies (I think I was 11dpo) and negative. I will try one final time today before I go away for the weekend, it’s so odd because I usually have the spotting for a few days before my period I would now consider myself late for that. Uh I’m so impatient and just want to know now 🤣 I’m so hormonal and bloated so I feel like I’m going to just start a full blown period any day now. X

DancingThroughLife02 · Yesterday 10:43

When approaching ovulation, if I ovulate around CD 16-20, is it best to start trying at least 5 days before?

I know I should just use test strips but I want to take it low stress the first few months. I think that I’ve got my timing right due to cervical mucus tracking.

BoyMamma33 · Yesterday 16:23

@DancingThroughLife02 yeah deffo get trying before because it’s so hard to pin point the exact day, also theory has it the girl sperm hang around a few days! If you’re doing it every other day around your fertile period you should be covered! Good luck!

@AndyBerrick84 exciting!! I assume you’ll be busy this evening!

ive tested again today (addicted I know), and still bfn but also still no sign of spotting which I’ve had every month without fail for 4 years before a full period starts. As we’ve only had unprotected sex on early hours of May 3rd, I would have thought a bfp would show by now. Unless I ovulated a little later and it’s taken longer to implant, but I would now be around 12dpo based on my previous cycles so would usually be spotting at this point. I’m so baffled! Maybe the stress and worry is just delaying my period and it will probably start whilst I’m on holiday this weekend!

LemonBiscuit1 · Yesterday 17:11

CD11 and got a flashing smiley with advanced digital, on exactly the same day as Flo app predicted I’m entering the fertile window! First time ovulation tracking, so I’m happy to understand my timing a bit better.

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · Yesterday 17:39

Hi 👋 hoping over from the other thread as doesn’t look like I’m going to be testing until June! Still waiting for my LH test to be postive, CD27 today. I got a small surge to 0.58 on CD22, but I don’t think I ovulated. No ovulation pain/ EWCM etc.

@cmg91 Hope you peak soon! Long cycles are the worst!

cmg91 · Yesterday 17:46

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy Do you usually have long cycles?

My ovulation is normally around now - my peaks range from CD21 - 26. The waiting game is harrrrd sometimes. I don’t have PCOS or anything so clearly just someone who ovulates late. 🤷🏼‍♀️

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · Yesterday 18:32

@cmg91 Yep, normally have around 40-50 days cycles due to PCOS. Started taking inositol in March to try to help my cycle length but it doesn’t seem to be working much yet.

Also, not sure I actually ovulated last cycle as I never got a positive test, highest the test went was around 0.66. So really hoping that I'm not going to have another anovulatory cycle and my body will try again in a weeks time or so 🤞

Interesting that you don’t have PCOS. Have your cycles always been long? Must be very frustrating for you, at least I have a reason!

cmg91 · Yesterday 19:29

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy I’ve had inositol before. After my loss in March 2025, I stopped getting periods so I was recommended inositol and I ovulated after a month of taking it and conceived our twin boys who we sadly lost in December.

They suspected PCOS when I stopped ovulating last year but I have 0 other symptoms of it so it’s never been diagnosed. I track BBT and it shows I do ovulate.

I think my hormones are still settling from the loss.

Are you TTC your first or another baby?

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · Yesterday 19:56

@cmg91 So sorry to hear about your losses. Had a read back through the thread and saw you lost your twins at 22 weeks! That must be heartbreaking, I can’t imagine. Especially after the 20 week scan and feeling movement and everything ❤️

Glad to hear the inositol did help you. Maybe I just need to be more patient.

I’m TTC my third. I felt my cycle was more regular after having children so for it to go AWOL now that I’m TTC again is so annoying. Sadly can’t do BBT as still co-sleeping as I feel that it would be useful to see if I am actually ovulating or not.

cmg91 · Yesterday 20:06

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy

Yeah. It’s been a rough few months: we lost my Grandad (who was like my Dad) on Christmas Eve, my husband’s Grandma passed on Christmas Day morning and then I went into spontaneous labour on Boxing Day. We had two very active little boys who kept me up regularly in the night having a little disco and up until my water’s broke, they had heartbeats and were still moving. Our first born, Henry, was alive for 45 minutes and our second, Rupert, had a difficult delivery (ended up breech and got stuck) so he’s classed as a second trimester miscarriage. We had to register Henry’s birth and death but not Rupert’s which was heartbreaking but we got one of those certificates of loss. We had them cremated together so their ashes are entwined - just like they always were. Together. We desperately want to bring a baby home.

Did you usually conceive quickly or did it take a while?

Have you tried using a wearable for BBT? I use the natural cycles band.

@cmg91 I know we’ve spoken about our losses previously, but again I just wanted to say how sorry I am that you had to go through all of this. Absolutely devastating. I genuinely understand that feeling of despair wondering if you will ever get to bring a baby home. Nothing will ever take away from the loss of Henry and Rupert, but I can tell you that bringing a baby home really does help to heal your heart. Having my rainbow didn’t make me miss my first born any less, it just helped me to cope with losing him better. As hard as it feels right now, know that you will get there and you will be able to bring a baby home with you one day, even if it feels impossible right now ❤️

Oh @cmg91 I am so sorry! It sounds a truely awful time. I am so sorry this happened to you. Henry and Rupert are beautiful names.

I hope you get to bring a baby home very soon ❤️

7 months with my first and then 2 weeks with the second! So very variable. At 6 months now though, so getting stressed. I haven’t tried a wearable, will look into natural cycles band, thank you for the idea.

Haha. Didn’t quite manage it last night, tried but got interrupted. Jumped on him this morning though. 🤣 Hoped I haven’t missed my best chance but will keep trying over the weekend. They say the best day is the day you get your peak so I could be out!!

@SantiagoSister Thank you. This brought a tear to my eye reading this! I’m not sure if you’ve said (sorry, I didn’t reread the thread) but how long did it take you to conceive your rainbow? 🌈 We waited until the placenta results came back clear to start trying again so this only our 2nd month ttc.

I’m so happy for you! Congratulations. 🌈

I think my nervous system was still on high alert last month as their due date was 2nd May (even though they would have been born in April due to being twins). Also, my friend was due a day before me and so I felt I was bracing myself for her to have her baby boy, too as our journeys were running parallel so this month seems to have softened somewhat. I also started back at work this week, which has been so lovely - I’m a primary school teacher and have just been helping out for a few hours in the morning so far! I have all my fingers crossed for us this month 💫
