The previous OPs have gotten their BFPs so I have cheekily created this one just hoping that I could get lucky. Hahaha. 😅 Silly, right ?
A bit about me - currently trying to conceive baby No.2 and this is my 4th postpartum cycle.
So I wish everyone good luck and lots of baby dust! 🤞

Joining here from the April May one as well if that’s ok. Almost CD1 today if the spotting and feeling properly groggy today is anything to go by. Fingers crossed to everyone this cycle. Xx

B242 · 06/05/2026 22:38

Jumping from the April one too. We’re on our 2nd cycle now, I was 4 days late on my last cycle and really got my hopes up so when AF came along with multiple negatives it was heart breaking!
Keeping fingers crossed for this time. I’ve got the advanced digital ovulation tests to try and figure out exactly when I’m ovulating.

Hi!

Just wanted to give you a glimmer of hope, I have endometriosis too, although I’m not sure which stage it was, my consultant said it was ‘moderate’ and I have so many adhesions. I have managed to conceive on the first try both times I have TTC previously, I count my lucky stars every day! I wish the same for you too. I’m not feeling confident that it’ll happen that quickly for us this time round, as I’m a lot older now! Have you had your tubes checked during your surgeries to see if they’re open?

Hi @SantiagoSister thank you for your reply!

The last laparoscopy I had was in December 2024 where they removed a cyst and the consultant at the time did say that the tubes looked ok but there were adhesions joining the back of the womb and the rectum so I’m a little worried about what that means for implantation. I’ve got an appointment today so I’ll be sure to ask loads of questions but thank you for the reassurance - I guess it’s one of those where you never know how easy or difficult it’ll be until you get there.

Best of luck for this cycle - hope you get lucky with 3/3 on first try!

Hi all, joining you on here!

TTC #2 and this is first cycle. I think I ovulate today...

Doing OPKs from the start this time as I think that's what helped last time as the first month of doing that last time I got pregnant.

Good luck everyone.

DandelionPockets · 07/05/2026 09:18

Also, solidarity with my long cycle buddies. I'm 32-33 in cycle days so it feels so long between CD1, then ovulation date, then AF.

Ah yeah we are!! Fingers crossed this is our month! Do you start ovulation testing soon as you finish your period? Today is CD4 for me and periods finishing so I’ll be testing from tomorrow for LH

I probably won’t start testing until around day 11, since that’s usually when I start to see a surge. Once it begins, I’ll test twice a day. I also tend to notice EWCM around the same time, which is really helpful. My body usually gives me pretty clear signs when I’m in my fertile window, so that definitely helps too. Fingers crossed we catch it this month! I always feel a little hopeful and optimistic with each new cycle!

It feels like we’re waiting double the time and I know I can’t get excited at CD25 because chances are I would have just ovulated.

I get that too so can usually tell but I take the LH strips anyway but to be honest if this cycle isn’t successful, I might ditch them next month and just TTC every other day throughout my full cycle cause sometimes the LH strips stress me out

MultilingualMummy · 07/05/2026 14:04

I'll join as I am TTC next month towards the end of June when AF comes, goodluck to everyone!

DancingThroughLife02 · 07/05/2026 17:25

Just had a gynaecology appointment where they checked surgery images from a year and a half ago - he did put me back on the laparoscopy list but encouragingly told me that while they didn’t do a hysteroscopy, the tubes and the womb look healthy from the outside.

He did say that the back of my womb was tethered to the rectum but hopefully shouldn’t be a reason to worry so really hoping for a positive by then end of this month/beginning of next month!

LemonBiscuit1 · 08/05/2026 15:05

Hi all, first time joining and first time TTC at 39. Came off pill about 4 months ago and using app to track cycles. On CD4 of this cycle and will use ovulation tests to try and get the best timing. Good luck eveyone!

I am 3 dpo and this cycle I have decided to treat this 2WW as if I just started AF. Right now I don’t have to think about ttc anymore as there is nothing I can do at the moment. Because I changed my perspective, I actually sleep better and feel more relaxed. Maybe it could help you too?

Do you mind if I join you ladies, I have not been diagnosed but have strongly suspected endometriosis due to long term very specific pain i get around my period including bowel movements at this time too. Waiting for my gynae referral to go through currently but it's a long wait as you may have experienced.

Unfortunately we are on cycle 9 this month, no BFP yet. Neither of us have had children before so my partner is going to be tested soon too.

I am about 10DPO now, 11 tomorrow (Saturday) I have been quite down about it this month and less hopeful than usual but the hope keeps creeping back if you know what I mean 😅😭

Wishing you two and everyone here currently trying the best of luck this cycle!

Hello! Joining this thread ☺️

My husband and I are TTC (2nd month of trying) after losing our twin boys at 22 weeks on Boxing Day 2025. Trying for another baby and having hope that we will bring a baby home is the only thing that is keeping me going if I’m honest.

My cycles have been a bit all over the place - erratic BBT so this is the first cycle where things seem more settled.

I’m CD 15 today but tend to ovulate around CD 21. Haven’t started testing OPKs yet as I wanted a more calm cycle.

Baby dust to all 💫

Best of luck @Sunglade!

It’s awful that they make us wait so long while we’re in pain. With endo and ttc, I think the thing helping me stay positive is even in healthy couples it can take a while meanwhile other couples who on paper have everything against them might conceive sooner than they thought so I guess in some cases it’s just a matter of luck.

Have you been given a wait time to see the consultant? I found that mine was quite dismissive when I told him I was ttc and told me to just see how it goes until the surgery but if you tell them you’ve been trying for a long time they might be able to get you moved up?

HappyBlueDonkey · 09/05/2026 12:10

I got a peak on Thursday and I think I finally ovulated! Now just the longgg wait. We go on holiday next weekend so of course it could make or break our trip

Thank you 🩷
I was referred in March and at the time the wait was around 20 weeks so I think I will get to see a consultant somewhere time this summer or just after. I actually went to see a private consultant the other week as I was really fed up with waiting. I wouldn't be able to pursue private treatment but I just wanted someone to do a thorough history and exam and put it all on my record.

It is absolutely indeed a lot of luck whether you have issues or not. When you look at how many things have to go 'right' it's a wonder anyone conceived at all. I think it can even depend on how 'compatible' your genes are with your partner's and that's one explanation why even some couples with no known issues can take a long time to get there.

I can actually feel slight cramping today like I usually do just before AF so I think I'm out. So disappointed. I'm at a point where I won't even share with my partner that I can feel it coming because he's so disappointed too and I just can't keep doing this. People say that 9 cycles isn't that long but I'm sorry it bloody is... Yes some couples conceive in months 9-12 but it isn't actually many. Feeling very down today. I'm not even sure how 'normal' it is to start cramping at 11DPO or if iit could be another endo thing specifically.

Hi @Sunglade, sorry you’re going through the Endometriosis ordeal too. I have that pain around my bowel too, it’s excruciating when I’m on my period and a dull ache any other time of the month. I hope you’re able to get your diagnosis and treatment soon and that it helps with your TTC journey. 9 cycles is a lot, despite it being considered normal, and it must really get you down, it’s the wondering if it’ll ever happen for you that can be so exhausting.

I’m sorry for the loss of your twin boys @cmg91, that’s just heartbreaking. When I lost my son at 29 weeks, I knew the only thing that would make me whole again would be to be able to bring a baby home, so I can completely understand how you feel. Wishing you lots of luck ❤️

Thank you. It really is heartbreaking. We had an early loss in March 2025 at 6 weeks (I think it was a chemical as there was no evidence of anything on scans). My body then stopped ovulating and when it restarted, we conceived the twins immediately so we were thrilled. We’re still very much grieving but really want a family. I’m almost 35 and my husband is 37.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss, too. Did you have another baby after or are you still trying?

xx

Sorry to hear your pain can be so bad during your AF. Mine has been very bad times times but it's usually not super severe, just bad enough to be noticeably not a normal level of pain if that makes sense. I definitely experience a dull ache at other times too, so similar to you.
Have you been diagnosed long? Are you still under the care of a gynae if so?

I had something similar in the first couple of months in my TTC journey too. Did you recently start taking a pre conception multivitamin? I really think a specific brand I took while starting TTC changed my cycle length before I switched to another brand. The box even had a warning on the side about this. It could have just been a coincidence though. It is so disappointing though isn't it, because with delayed AF you immediately hope it might be pregnancy, especially if you're very regular.

I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through all of that, I can imagine how heartbroken you both are. It’s a lot to handle. We were very much still grieving when we tried again too, and I’m so grateful to have been able to conceive and bring home my son after our loss. We are trying for No.2 once AF arrives at the end of this month, I still feel as anxious about it as I did before, pregnancy after loss was really stressful for me.
