Hi guys! Opening a thread for those ttc in the new year! I'll be starting again after an MMC in November, fingers crossed that this'll be a lucky year for all!

Period is due tomorrow and my tests are lovely and dark but I’ve such bad cramps feel like diarrhea and period cramps. Can kinda feel them where my ovaries are as well. Anyone experiencing anything similar?

If it helps I had this around 14/15dpo with my DD… she’s 2 now!! It was actually my first symptom, and it felt like agony like I had an upset stomach / period pains without either actually happening, I’d sit on the toilet for ages in pain!

@Glittertint aw this is good to hear, yea mines feels like I’ve ate something bad and it’s going through to my back. I don’t remember having this with the others but I’m sure I did and just maybe don’t remember. lol

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy ahh you're obviously fertile as that's quite quick in cycles you have caught as you say its just the cycle length for you that seems sooo long. Keep yourself busy and sending you all the luck 🤞🤞🤞

@Glittertint yes!!! Get dtd! Glad you got your peak finally and the ewcm to go with it!
I was feeling like you as we bd cd9 then 10 and 11 didnt and due to various factors wasnt sure we would be able to but to my surprise we did for the next x3 days!! So 🤞 it was enough! Go you for twice in a day i havent managed that for a while I will admit!

I am also glad I am not the only one who finds it hard to be dtd every fertile day 🫢😰😰🤣🤣😅😅

@ttcnumerodos I understand what you mean!! My LO goes to bed at 7pm tbe other night it was 9pm and I was soo tired. Just so difficult sometimes 😪

Entering my tww with my app saying 1dpo keeping everything crossed. I am feeling excited right now as I feel pleased with timing of things and the feeling of possibility is just so exciting.....I just want to try snd keep calm and chill this tww and wait for AF........lets face it that probably wont be how this is going to go 🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅 but we will see....the intention is there!!!!

The dtd twice a day is rare… I actually think the last time that happened was pre DD! We only did it to try make up! If I ovulate today / tomorrow I’m hoping CD13,14,17 cover is (CD17 today). We have dtd every 1-3 days since cd8 too so hoping it’s kept DHs swimmers refreshed which I think they recommend!

Hey!!!! I'm not at the moment (BFN for me 😭) but with my 1st child I had diarrhea in early stages. I remember it was one of my only symptoms before I started to feel sick.

Yeah mine felt like very very severe constipation and period cramps! Sort of like a proper burying in pain too! I don’t remember it lasting ages though, only a few days!

Just got another BFN and due on today so see how it goes 😫

We decided to try for baby3 this month. I’m 12dpo today (I think) and had a positive test this morning! My second baby was conceived in the first cycle too so I don’t know why I’m so surprised but I just wasn’t expecting it! Excited but very nervous all at the same time!

Congrats @Meplusthree2026 ! It must be great getting pregnant on first try. For me both my dd and my MMC happened in cycle three, so hoping it won't take longer this time either.
On another note, has anyone seen a ttc Feb thread? I should have made this Jan / Feb lol

@rainbowsnack i Got a bfn this morning too and I have to admit I felt so deflated and disheartened but then I put a pic of my opks into gpt and it told me I’m only 9 dpo (I thought I was 11 🤷🏼‍♀️) so I’m back to feeling hopeful lol. God knows but I just have such a feeling I’m pregnant this month with a few symptoms I’ve only ever had when I’m pregnant. The tww really tests ur sanity doesn’t it

So lovely to hear of some BFP’s are so sorry to those with BFN’s! I hope the next cycle is the one for you!

For anyone with positive tests are you still checking for line progression lol I’m sick of looking now and want to accept that I’m not going to have a chemical but still super scared lol

If you see normal darkening lines, I wouldn't test, or only every 3days lol. With my dd I tested every day for the first week, but everything looked normal, so I only started testing like 1-2 times a week, until the us😂with my last pregnancy I was testing like crazy because I didn't see the lines darkening on time

I haven’t done this with any of mine, I didn’t know it was a thing until mumsnet. I’ve always just done one and that’s it 🙈

I’ve done another normal one this afternoon to see if the actual line is darker and it very much is. So I’m going to stop and just do another digital in like 10 days or so to make sure it’s going up but I’m already being sick so I feel like it’s fine🫣🥲

@Jill4578 oh my goodness you’re being sick already, you poor thing!! But it’s all a very good sign!! My test is super dark and I have such bad cramps in my tummy so maybe that’s just baby really placing itself in lol I hope anyway!!
@Meplusthree2026 well neither did I until I fell pregnant a few years back and I took a test on the day of my af and it was so light to day 10 and I knew something was wrong and was sadly a chemical. But all good now 🥰

Previous poster here. I haven't posted since my chemical in the middle of last year. I took it harder than I expected after trying so long and couldn't discuss it really.
I'm back with some hope... for my last positive I didnt see a line till 2 days after my period was due and things went downhill from there.
I'm currently 4 days away from my period and got this morning, showed up after a couple of mins.
I think I'm just here for some hope and positivity as me and DH are just trying to stay cautiously optimistic after the pain of last time 😊❤️

I think it looks real promising for four days before your period! Fingers crossed!

Hi everyone, I’m using the clear blue advanced digital ovulation sticks and I’m wondering how may days you normally get the flashing smileys for before you get a solid one? I’ve been testing once a day in the morning. I’ve had 2 flashing smileys (yesterday & today). Also, when you’re in your fertile window is it better to DTD everyday or every other? I’m looking online but it’s conflicting advice everywhere?!

I don't use the CB so I can't advise about that. They say that it's better for the sperm to dtd every other day, but we for example dtd every day in the fertile window - you have the highest chance of getting pregnant - 2, - 1 day before o and o day so that's only three days 🙈 I know sperm can survive for five days as well, but only in ideal conditions, so if you have enough ewcm that early on etc. And it is still a really small chance
