Hi guys! Opening a thread for those ttc in the new year! I'll be starting again after an MMC in November, fingers crossed that this'll be a lucky year for all!

First Time posting...Can I get a line check guys? Or am I going mental. This could be the faintest line in history lol

I'm CD23 in a 28 day cycle, and 9DPO, although I am pretty sure I ovulated early this month, as got the usual abdominal ovulation pinches around CD11, and my ovulation tests were all negative as I think I tested too late for the peak.

Feeling very silly as I know the obvious answer is to just test in a couple of days, but I'm just feeling so excited! Its our first cycle trying and honestly due to our ages and health stuff thought it would be unlikely we would conceive first try!

Aw guys!!! So I just did another test and this is a comparison between yesterday’s test and just now. It’s definitely darker, I’m only 12DPO so I’m very happy with it atm it’s reassured me😂🫣 the bottom one is just now

@Jill4578 that’s such great progression, huge congrats too 🥰🥳 hopefully this is a lucky thread, nice to get such a clear positive so early on

I’ve been symptom spotting like mad.
I’ve that complete exhaustion that only comes with early pregnancy, peeing constantly, very irritable, and pressured feeling in lower back. But all could be period related also 😩

Babyno21990 · 22/01/2026 20:52

@Jill4578 oh I am so happy to see this lovely progression 😍😍 congratulations!!!!

@zalexa I can definitely see a line on yours 😍 I tested positive on 9dpo also so it happens!! 🙏

here is my test from today I decided to do a digital I’m 12dpo and lines getting lovely and dark 🥰

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy its is actual madness isnt it!!!

still a few weeks to go for you, (according to app tho) have you experienced ovulation earlier sometimes?

Ahah dont blame you, they say soon as you see even a glimpse of the stuff to get going! So keep your eyes peeled!!! 😁😁 some women only see a small amount and cycles vary domt they.

I have seen a bit more today so maybe o is tomorrow 🤔🤔 i reqd that ovulation happens once it dries up?? So going off this theory i guess!!

Yes, my average cycle is around 60 days but have had much longer cycles, more 90 days and also a bit shorter, 45 days-ish. Since getting my period back after baby number 2 about 6 months ago, they have been pretty consistently 60 days 😞 I wish they were shorter, it’s such a long time to wait between ovulation periods!!

Yes I think it’s supposed to dry up 12-24 hours after ovulation as then it has done its job, so to speak 😂

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · 22/01/2026 21:36

@Babyno21990 Ah, it’s so nice to see it in words isn’t it! No more squinting at lines but “pregnant”!

@Jill4578 This evenings test looks good! Fingers crossed for you 😊

Orangeroses243 · 22/01/2026 22:05

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy well its good they have been consistent so you know where you are roughly when it comes to timing. I absolutely agree its a long time to have to wait though!
Keep up with the tracking as you are and sending you all the luck this is your cycle!! 🤞🤞

How many cycles did it take for you to fall previously?

Il certainly be keeping an eye and noting when it dries up now as I haven't paid much attention to that before. So this cycle I have had it from cd9 now on cd14 and still present today. Aaaannnd I thought it wouldn't be possible but manage to BD today too!!! 😁😁😁 not going to lie I wouldnt say I have necessarily over done it this cycle on the bd compared to other couples...but I am knackered 🤣🤣
I sometimes read on here others BD sessions when ttc and I honestly dont know how they have the energy 🤣🤣

Orangeroses243 · 22/01/2026 16:26

@Coco9910 ahab you make a very valid point, I also heard stories of one pill missed and pregnancy i mean the chances are there but trying to catch it on time must makes these kind of accidental chances sooo low!

Ahh well we will likely be testing around the same days 😃😃😃

I know! I’m like how?! When you can time
it and try so hard and still doesn’t happen 😂 crazy how the body works! Ahh well good luck! Hope you manage to keep busy during the TWW!

Glittertint · 23/01/2026 10:19

@Orangeroses243 @HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy have to jump on this and agree!! We were too tired to BD last night so it means we’ve not done it since CD14 and I’m now CD17… thought my peak was gone and done but woke up to EWCM and actually relieved that we might have another day or two to cover off key days!! I don’t know how people do it honestly

Glittertint · 23/01/2026 10:22

@Orangeroses243 @HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy and on that note I just got my dye stealer on my OPK at long last!! Only 5 days later than my norm 🤣

Hey gang, checking in for the first time on this thread. This is now cycle 7 of trying for baby #2. I'm 3DPO today - ovulated on CD15 this cycle. Managed to DTD on CD12 and CD14 so keeping fingers crossed!

Coco9910 · 23/01/2026 11:46

i don’t know how anyone manages to do the sperm meets egg method 😰 we managed 3 days in a row and don’t think we could have done a 4th 😂

@Glittertint yay for your peak!

Same, we've done twice in three days and I'm shattered! Our 7 year old doesn't go to sleep til nearly 10 most nights so it makes it a late night. Had my peak yesterday so might give it another go tonight to cover all bases if we can stay awake 🤣

@Orangeroses243 First baby was 7 months to conceive, only 3 cycles though. Second baby was first cycle! So I’m lucky in that, touch wood, i seem to fall pregnant fairly easily. It can just feel like ages due to my cycle length.
Good job on the BDing! Always feels good when you manage the key days!

@Glittertint hooray for the peak!! I knew it would happen!

I really don’t know how people manage every day either. Short on energy and time atm! Also the number of times we have been interrupted when one of the children has woken up! And it’s not the easiest to get back into the mood after 😂

Ah I feel you, my dd is nearly two so at least she still naps during the day but because of DH's work that's usually the only chance we get in the day lol!

OP posts:
Glittertint · 23/01/2026 20:12

thanks everyone!! Managed to convince DH we needed to dtd during the day and tonight again as we can’t tomorrow as he’s away lol! It took us 13 cycles before so always feel like we needed to give it our all! Will be entering TWW in 2 days so fingers crossed!

Any tips on helping hormones stay balanced during this time? I’m going to try hot water bottles to keep warmth, add in lots of fibre and protein to my diet and doing light exercise like yoga etc! 🙏🏼

Jill4578 · 23/01/2026 20:25

Hiya everyone! Hope everyone is doing okay no matter whatever stage you are at! Feeling over the moon! Just done this digital and it’s positive, such a relief to see the word🫶 taken with evening wee as well! Buzzing🙌
