Hi guys! Opening a thread for those ttc in the new year! I'll be starting again after an MMC in November, fingers crossed that this'll be a lucky year for all!

Well I caved today, did a test and BFN! Part of me expected it but I was hoping to see something as I've been having a lower back ache all day today, and I feel kind of 'heavy' in my lower belly.. Only 9 dpo today when I've never tested positive before, but I was hoping this'll be a first😂Also a lower back ache is not a usual pms symptom for me, but might have just slept funny, lol

I used the clear blue ones with my first and was successful the same month. Definitely making pin pointing the right day a lot easier, will also help my brain with the uncertainty of which day is ovulation day!

@Anya23 that’s still early so there’s still hope!

I should be entering my fertile week over the weekend with predicted ovulation between Wednesday and Friday (two apps saying different things 🙃) I’m using LH strips to see when I ovulate but feel like I’m twiddling my thumbs waiting to get going 😂

Thanks, I'll retest Friday morning as well! Today I tested with a one hour hold basically 😂

Good luck for Friday!! I keep telling myself I won’t test early but my cycles can be anything from 30-34 days so I don’t think I will be able to wait 4 days if I get to day 30 and AF doesn’t come 😂

Ive ordered OPK’s this month. Which ones have you gone for? I have ordered the Premom Quantitative ones.

Thanks! I'm due AF on Monday, so I'm even proud I only tested today, although I still knew it could be early! This damn back ache though, I rarely ever get it, when I'm not pregnant, so fingers crossed! Good luck to you as well!

A little advice please...

I said I will take my BBT this cycle, but I keep forgetting in the morning!! I've put it on the bedside table now, but is CD9 too late to start for accuracy? I think I ovulate around CD19 - CD21.

@Anya23 sorry to hear that! But it’s still early days too. I’m sure lots of people’s tests on 9DPO would turn into a positive after a couple of days. How sensitive was the test?

@Jhm88 if you normally ovulate on day 19 then day 9 is not too early I’d say. You’d still be able to get some consistent readings before detecting a rise. As long as you do it every day x

I hope so! It was 10 mIU, but I'm hoping this pain is due to implantation, and will show in a few days! Who knows! The only time I had a back ache as pms was also in the first cycle we start trying 😂and now after the MMC, I feel like my body is tricking me again lol

@Anya23 could well be implantation! Keep hope. Definitely understand about the body tricking us after a MC. Similar to when I thought I ovulated last cycle but couldn’t have done 😕😂.
on a positive note my current period is drying up so hopefully fertile days are on their way soonish!

Thanks! When will you start testing for LH? I started on CD 9 after the first bleed, and had my peak as usual on CD 11 luckily, but I know it can be different after an MC

CD8… and caved in by ordering OPKs! My friend just told me she’s pregnant and they were the thing that helped her timing so convinced I need to do this now! I need to promise myself not to get hung up on them though like I did with my first!!

I haven’t bought them yet but I was planning on using the clear blue advanced digital ones. I have a short cycle of 25-27 days and my previous cycle tracking (temp and CM) tells me I ovulate around CD16. So I have a short luteal phase. When would you start OPKs? I can’t do the temp tracking, I feel like it ruins my sleep because I’m so anxious about temping in the morning 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m CD12 and thinking of ordering ovulation sticks too. Maybe the easy@home ones, the Clear Blue look so expensive! Anyone have any thoughts on whether the Clear Blue do work better?

@Anya23 Ooh, pretty early! How long did you say your cycles usually are again?
Well I’m hoping this is a predictable cycle again. I usually get EWCM from CD13. I only started LH testing on the last time when I conceived. - that one got my peak on CD14. I think I might start testing in a week’s time!

My cycle is 26 days too and I have a shorter luteal phase. I’ve ordered some of the Easy@Home ones but also some of the Quantitive ones as they help you to see what level of LH you have rather than just positive or negative. I’ve not used them before though? They look just like the normal ones 😂

I used clear blue for baby #1, definitely easy to use and interpret. I am going to use again for this cycle. Although expensive, I don’t have the brain space for logging line colours needed for some cheaper tests

Glad they worked for you first time around. True about the brain space 😂 just need a clear answer, yes or no!

They can be 25-27 days, but lately they've been 25 days. Bot times I've conceived, I ovulated this early!
