Hi guys! Opening a thread for those ttc in the new year! I'll be starting again after an MMC in November, fingers crossed that this'll be a lucky year for all!

Ooh, I also had ewcm with my last pregnancy around the same time! Fingers crossed for you!

@BellaStar2020 @Anya23 I did one and it was stark white, not even one you can get line eyes at! I did use a clear blue early detection though so I’m not sure how sensitive they actually are but it says 99% on 10dpo upwards! But I’m probably out this month which is okay! I’ll wait until if AF comes on Tuesday/ Wednesday before I test again! Tbf I’m basically cycle 1 of properly trying and we took 13 with my DD so I’m not given up yet… anything quicker than 13 months will be better 🤣

My AF still hasn’t come so I’m now a few days late. I ordered a pregnancy test online which is apparently due on Tuesday. I’m never late so I’m going to be disappointed if I’m not pregnant. I should have just bought one in a shop 😂

It's so exciting seeing positive tests coming up on the thread! Only CD9 for me here, we'll start DTD regularly this week as it's cycle 1 post implant so not sure when I'll ovulate (previously average 28 day cycle). Feeling hopeful 🥰

We are ovulation date twins! I had a couple of drinks on NYE, but not worrying about it at all. I don't think it will have any impact even if this 'is' the cycle!

@Anya23 I see! That makes sense. Glad you got the peak this morning. That makes pretty great sense timing if he gets home early this evening! Lol.

part of me started thinking, did I even ovulate this ‘cycle?’ Maybe my body got confused after the MC and peaked but didn’t ovulate …. Always possible 😂

@FortiesMumTTC3 thank you! I found the best tests to be the Easy@Home strip tests from Amazon. They picked up the lines when other tests didn't.

Hi I’m just wondering if I could get some ovulation test advice? We’ve got two children and they were both happy little accidents, so we’ve never actually tried to get pregnant before!
ive been using the Flo app consistently for years to track my periods, and I’ve just started using LH tests, I’m just confused by them. So the app says I’ll be ovulating on the 7th, but the tests are still faint. Do they only become dark when it’s the exact day?

I think it's different for everyone - my surge is really quick so LH starts rising the day before my peak, and goes back down the next day, so I only have strong lines for two days! I suggest using the Premom app for tracking as it gives you a reading as well

@Jill4578 I never got the hang of them and thought I wasn’t ovulating and just gave up using them 😂. I think time of day can matter but I’m sure others will have more helpful advice.

@RoamingToasterthe time of day doesn't really matter here, although they suggest taking it in the early afternoon usually because LH peaks mostly start overnight! It might be that you also have a really quick surge, so just didn't catch it with the tests! Once LH starts rising, it's best to do 2-3 tests a day

Im on day 35 of my cycle and they are usually between 29-31 days. We haven’t started TTC yet so i know I’m not pregnant but just waiting for it to come so we can start our first TTC cycle 😰

Hi all, hope it's ok to join. Currently 7dpo, trying for number 2 (DS is 8 next month) and 41. We've been trying since 2024 with 1mc in March so I feel like time is running out a bit. I have a short luteal phase and feel AF is on her way already - grumpy/sad and crampy. Hoping 2026 is the year for all of us ✨

Not best pleased with myself. Bought Clearblue Ultra Early Pregnancy tests (6days before your period) & got a BFN.
Got a 2 pack so will wait another 2 days and try again.

@Anya23thankyou, these are what my tests have been like so far, I think the darkest one was taken at 4pm so maybe I should try and stick to that sort of time. They’re all taken at different times which I don’t think is right is it🫣 we’ve been having sex everyday and will continue until the end of this week so hopefully that will be enough without being exactly sure on ovulation part🤞

they just don’t look great, so I think it’s definitely not happened yet

@ttcnumerodos age buddy over here, also 41 with a short LP. I feel time is running out for me too but I’ve got all the symptoms this cycle albeit of just had a BFN at 9 or 10dpo (annoyed at myself testing so early). 🙄

Your peak can also show in the morning, just like it did for me! I'd suggest testing twice a day in the first cycle to track, so you get to better idea of what cd you ovulate! I test once a day starting from cd9 then when I see the lines starting to get stronger I start testing twice a day. Continue testing after you see the peak until the lines go back to how light they were originally

@Jill4578 I recently went from low to peak overnight and no build up. I thought it was a bit odd but I wasn’t able to track my cycle as well last month so didn’t see if the same happened. I track 2-3 times a day when I’m due to ovulate 😅

Thankyou! Just going to keep testing and hoping for a spike. My husband is actually working away on the predicted ovulation day which is Wednesday. But I’m thinking we’ll just dtd tonight, tomorrow and Tuesday and just have to hope for the best🤣

I think you have the highest chance of conceiving the day before ovulation! That's why I bummed that DH is away today, as if I peaked in the morning I'll ovulate soon 😂

Aw haha, tbh I keep getting sharp twinges in my side round about where I normally get the ovulation cramps, despite not trying for a baby until now I’ve always been very in tune with everything. But surely it can’t be because the test isn’t peak😵‍💫

I came off the mini pill (21st Dec), believe I ovulated 2nd due to the egg white mucas. Did the deed 1st/2nd Jan.

however today I have cramps and my boobs feel so sensitive but I imagine my period is on it’s way.
