Hi guys! Opening a thread for those ttc in the new year! I'll be starting again after an MMC in November, fingers crossed that this'll be a lucky year for all!

Fingers crossed @EmeraldPie!
I think my cycles are already back to being the same as before the MMC - LH started to rise today, and I think it'll peak tomorrow, on CD 11 as usual. Also ewcm has appeared, which is a relief after all the spotting lol
A bit bummed out because hubby is away for work all day tomorrow, so we won't be able to dtd, but at least we covered today and the last two days and we'll also have some time Monday morning so fingers crossed!

Aww, I know the feeling when every day counts! Hopefully the peak comes at just the right time….
Yes, will test tomorrow if it doesn’t come. But I just keep expecting it right now 😂
I have a follow up call booked later next week with the EPU as they want to check my bleeding had stopped fully and pregnancy test is negative … so I’ll have to do a test regardless !

Ooh I see! When was your MC? I think I had a negative test about 3 weeks after the D&C, so not much before my period came actually! Fingers crossed yours will be positive for a different reason now 🤞

Hi all, hoping to join you all on this journey. I am in the same boat as a few of you, on my first cycle after a MMC at 12 weeks at the end of November. I already have a 15 month old son who I was lucky enough to conceive in our first cycle of trying. I was actually coming to mumsnet looking for some similar experiences as I’ve had some bleeding (brownish) after sex yesterday and carrying on today, although only a small amount today, and it looks like a couple of you have also been in the same boat with the spotting, so feels like it’s a bit more common than I might have thought, so has put my mind at ease a little bit!
wishing you all baby dust for some September/October babies!

Ttcbabyward · 03/01/2026 19:45

Tell me why I tested today at 8dpo 🫣🫣 BFN as I was expecting!

Anya23 · 03/01/2026 19:56

Welcome @Pololol, yes there are quite a few us here unfortunately! Hipefully we'll all get our babies this year!
@TtcbabywardDon't worry it's still too early! With my pregnancies, I started testing positive around 11 dpo

Thank you. 🙏 I know there's still time.

I told myself that I was actually going to wait untill my missed period this cycle and at the earliest test at 12dpo.
Failed myself by testing at 8dpo 😂😂 why is the TWW so difficult! I hate the unknown.

Ah I don't know🤣I also will want to wait until 11 dpo at least, but we'll see..I don't feel as obsessed as I was in the fall at least, but we'll see🤣

Easier said than done!
tbh I think I'm more like 7dpo like somewhere in between if that makes sense.

had my peak at 7am 26th December but due to bbt rise on morning of the 27th it would suggest ovulation occurred on the 26th (I'm guessing at night) but then would that cause a bbt rise so soon?

that means LH surge, ovulation and bbt all happened within 24 hours!

I'm not sure unfortunately, as I do not measure bbt, I just go by the LH tests and CM, also I usually feel a dull feeling or pain in my lower belly, which is usually not much after my peak! But whether 7-8 dpo, you're still early, so fingers crossed!

Hello! I’ve dipped in and out of a few previous threads but find I have to be careful not to spend too much time online during my TWW otherwise I become fixated with googling symptoms etc.

We’re on cycle 7 TTC our second and I’m 3dpo today. Could be a NYE baby! 😂 Anyone else worrying about if a few drinks over Christmas and New Year could have affected things…?

I’ve also just had my invite for cervical screening so in that sense it would be a good thing if it doesn’t work this month, so at least I can get that done before any potential pregnancy.

I had a full negative test under 2 weeks after I started bleeding with my MC, which was around 4/5 December! As it was a blighted ovum, perhaps less to clear out.
thanks! The nurse told me as to wait a cycle so not sure what I’ll say if it is positive 😂

Say that accidents happen 😂I don't live in the UK and here they usually recommend waiting three months.. So if I fall pregnant before that, it'll also be awkward, but oh well!

Booksandclocks · 03/01/2026 22:10

@CatsMcGoo yes I am a bit worried re overindulging over new years but given it was so close to ovulation I'm sure not much can have been established at that point!

@EmeraldPie they were pretty clear during mine that the only reason they recommend that is for clarity (not confusing a positive test for a new pregnancy when it's still the old hcg etc) and dating the pregnancy. I'm sure they'll be pretty relaxed and it's easy to date with an ultrasound!

Where do you live?
Well, 2 or 3 months probably sounds better than straightaway. Could also plead ignorance which is usually my go-to 😂 I really think it depends on the type of MC too and how far along it was too!

@Booksandclocks yes true! The main thing is a healthy pregnancy, right!

Hello ladies ..well I'm 4 days apart from AF..currently trying not to test for 2 more days..having lower back n tummy cramps since this morning...so not much hopeful...its cycle # 3 for me..have 3 wonderful kids ..

Anya23 · 04/01/2026 06:44

Hi @mommytoangels
For me, lower back ache was only present when I was pregnant!
@EmeraldPieI live in Hungary, these guidelines are a bit more outdated here, lol
I'd wait one more cycle but we wanted to get pregnant before DD was two, as I'm going back to work in May, and I wanted to do a longer maternity leave instead of going back to work for only a couple of months!
Also I think I have my peak this morning so fingers crossed hubby can actually get home earlier in the evening 😂

Morning ladies! Took this photo at the 5 min mark, can definitely see the lines here. I'm due AF in about 5 days so the Boots test is faint but hopefully this pregnancy sticks around 🤞I put my details into https://pregnancychancecalculator.com/tools/miscarriage-risk-calculator/ and the chance of miscarriage at this point is a whopping 43% because I'm so early, but I'm taking each day as it comes!!

@BellaStar2020 disrupted sleep can definitely throw it off, they say you need 3-4 hours undisrupted before a reading! My temp dropped my 0.1 today and I’m trying to not think I’m out as I slept so badly it usually is lower when I do!

@TTCNumber2in2025 That looks more positive to me than an indent! But definitely another test will confirm for sure!

Morning! I had another temp rise this morning to 36.3 so it’s estimating that I ovulated on the 30th/31st December so I am likely 4-5 days DPO! Hopefully this sets a bit more of a baseline for me for next month?

Morning! Sounds like your bbt has finally made a bit of a decision for you! Did you manage to dtd over these days? Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 For a baseline they usually say to capture day 1 or 2 as that’s when you should be back to “0” so that might help?

also I’m 10-11dpo but I’m too scared to test 🙈 had some signs that are positive like my RHR has risen this morning which happened with my DD but then again yesterday I was so snappy which is a classic pms symptom

We DTD on the 30th so hopefully managed to time it ok?

🤞 for you. Being snappy could also be a sign of pregnancy, it’s so frustrating that there are not clearer signs 😂

🤞I'm always snappy before my period, but I'm especially snappy when pregnant 😂

Ohhh this is exciting @Anonna123 congrats!!

I went to bed with a headache lastnight & also woke up with one. Also checked my cervix this morning and a little blob of ewcm came away. Had watery cm yesterday (tmi sorry).

I think im 9/10dpo not 100% sure as didn’t track.
Might need to buy a test today, oh god I feel so nervous.

What is the most sensitive test I can buy? I have boots & Superdrug nearby.
