charliesmum, nandos, beakas, sugr, cornflower, poppy, becky and everyone else who miscarried in may/june 2008....

We have all been very brave together and supported eachother. For those of us that are ready, it may be time to support eachother again as we return to TTC. Lets hold hands, remember our loss and give a nod to the future as we endeavour to procreate and............

SHAG!!

As promised, a thread to stay in touch. Will also see you on the MC avengers thread.

Hello!!!

Oh MBM- I'm sorry you feel so awful. I had AWFUL MS with DD and was sick all the way through, even the day I had her (and just after I had her) so I can really sympathise. I dont want you to worry about Beanie at all- a strong pregnancy wont budge. If bean is meant to be there, he/she will stay (sorry if that sounds blunt!). The only thing that stopped me feeling sick was a very very soft boiled egg and I had one everyday while pregnant. I know that thats a big no-no now but just goes to show how strong beanies are. DD is bouncing away on a trampoline right now. and talking me to death as I type. I keep typing what shes saying!!?

I am on the 2WW right now but can honestly say that I'm out Used to have 26 day cycles and its only day 22 now and I have period pain so think my body is still sorting itself out TBH. Have very awful PMT too. I can barely look at or talk to anyone its so bad. I used to be on prozac for it but came off when pregnant with DD. And since then have just suffered it until I met my wonderful acupuncturist!! I've stopped going to Acu for now because she became a real confidante when I became pregnant and I felt awful going back for some reason after the miscarriage but she text me the other day purely to see how I am and I realised that I miss our sessions and chats and I miss having NO PMT!!! So after my hols in 3 weeks I'll be going back. It may help with TTC and getting my cycles back on track. I also think my luteal phase must be really short- I only ov'd on day 16!! and period is nearly here. Thats not right is it?? I'll mention that to her too.

BUT right now, I just wanna be on my hols!! 3 weeks today then am off to Rhodes for 2 weeks. woohoo!!!!

Ooooh just found some fairy snot. I am ovulating today! Watch out DH!!!! Poor unsuspecting bloke is upstairs bathing the DSs.

BeckyBendyLegs · 03/08/2008 08:44

Where is everybody?

mummy2olivia · 03/08/2008 09:31

I'm here!!!

Becky, had a BFP yesterday!!!

And a BFN today

Period is late so I'm assuming I've had a chemical pregnany??

Dunno.

Surprisingly not bothered Think its just one thing on top of a whole pile of confusing shit. Am gonna start agnus castus next month.

Hope you are well- did you get lots of BDing in?

Have started a TTC positive stories thread cos I often find myself re-reading peoples good news cos I cant believe it can happen!!

Wonder where Nandos is?

OP posts:
BeckyBendyLegs · 03/08/2008 12:07

Ohhh m2o! It's all so confusing! I don't really know much about chemical pregnancies - I'll have to look it up on the internet.

We had two sessions Thurs and Friday and I was definitely ovulating so we'll just have to wait and see. Ahhhh. TTCing is sooo stressful. I woke up with a funny taste in my mouth and thought 'ooooh' but please it is only two days! I am so sad.

I'm taking the DSs to the seaside tomorrow (Borth in mid-Wales) for three days to stay in my dad and stepmother's caravan. I need a break. I need the sea. So we're packing like mad. It was all very sudden. I don't like planning things!

mummy2olivia · 03/08/2008 12:36

Becky, the test I did this morning was a clearblue. I was so tired this morning that when I looked at the test I thought I could see a line then couldnt then I could so I just shoved it in the bin and went back to bed. Have just been emptying the bins upstairs (cos they are full of tests with dried wee on [smile) and looked at the test again and there is a blue line. But I am a day late and the line is dead faint (really thin) but dont think its an evap cos it bright blue. Oh I dont know anymore!!! Still a bit crampy but PMT has vanished and no sign of the blob. FUCK FUCK FUCK!!! Whatever is going on I think I can safely conclude its finished before its really started.

OP posts:
BeckyBendyLegs · 03/08/2008 20:00

Oh its hard to tell! You could be, you might not be but who knows... I don't know! Being crampy is a sign: I was really, really crampy with DS2 and my latest pregnancy. PMT is also a sign. It's so annoying that signs of pregnancy are also signs of AF coming. Hang on DS2 has just spilt milk over himself...back again.

mummy2olivia · 03/08/2008 21:04

Have started to bleed. Am only 2 days late so only 4 weeks but am going to go to the GP just to get it put on my notes.

Christ- pregnant and an early miscarriage all in one weekend!!

OP posts:
BeckyBendyLegs · 04/08/2008 07:44

m2o what a weekend! You don't do things by halves! I wish I could give you a hug... We're off to Wales in a few minutes - it takes four hours of windy roads according to the internet. But the seaside is on the other end so that's good!

monkeybumsmum · 04/08/2008 12:35

Oh m2o, so sorry .

Just came out of hosital, been on a drip trying to stop this isckness. It's coming back again now tho.

Not up to writing much, but wanted to let you know where I was and that hopefully i'll be back soon.

nandos · 04/08/2008 13:16

Hello everyone..
been away for a while with guest at home and a bit bz lately..
M2olivia.. sorry to hear the early pregnancy hope you get to see the GP to see whats going on.
Becky..have a nice journey to Wales..btw hows the wedding last wk?
MBM..poor thing..wish i could help u ease those terrible MS..
well a bit of update from me: have a consultation on the 20th Aug and going for a 2mth vacation starting end of august(without DH ) so if am not pregnant by Aug, then wont be pregnant for a long long time . am trying to be positive and keep saying to myself that im still only 26++ still sometime left 4 starting a family

monkeybumsmum · 06/08/2008 13:46

Nandos, you are right, you have plenty of time. A holiday might do you the world of good...

BeckyBendyLegs · 08/08/2008 19:59

Nandos you are a young thing! I am 36 1/2 (and had DS1 at 32). I'm just back from Wales. I have driven for four hours and my arms are stiff and my eyes have gone funny. Borth was lovely. I used to go there as a child and I worked out that the last time I'd been there had been 22 years ago in 1986. It hasn't changed a bit! The same tacky shops, the same amusements, the same surfer dudes. I felt very nostalgic. The DSs had a great time. We still have sand in our toes.

I hope you are all ok. I'm so sorry MBM about your sickness. You are so brave to be going through this. I've always been relatively lucky with morning sickness but I know people who have had it bad, not as bad as you though.

As for me AF due next weekend but I feel about as pregnant as a loaf of bread at the moment.

nandos · 10/08/2008 20:08

Becky, you might just be pregnant! what DPO r u at?
I am just shopping around and buying baby clothes (for my mom's friend's sons)
am going for holiday soon! yaayy

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/08/2008 08:40

What is DPO? Sorry I'm a bit thick when it comes to pregnancy speak! I sometimes imagine I have symptoms, eg going to the loo a lot and a bit tender upstairs but then I had that last month and look where that got me? I try to be chilled about it and just get on with life but easier said than done.

Just looked at the weather for this week: except today there are rain drops on every day. This is ridiculous. where is the summer? We are half way through the school holidays already. I want to go on holiday again. Or if not it would be nice to be able to spend lazy days at the park, not in the rain.

nandos · 11/08/2008 12:27

DPO is days past ovulation..its ok becky not everyone knows all the abbrev...
i had all the symptoms early in the yr too but was not pregnant..i guess its just the progesterone/hormones after ov.
btw have you been watching the olympics? i lurvee watching all the sports..
and am not the 'park' type of person tbh, i like the high adrenaline rush type outdoor activities would even go out in the rain if really want to kinda dissapointed at the short summer though..

oh forgot to ask hows MBM and M2olivia is doing..
MBM, r u alright? how r u coping with the MS..poor thing..
M2olivia..how r u? hope u r feeling ok..

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/08/2008 13:42

Well I think I ovulated last Thursday as I had fairy snot then and felt more up for it than normal so that is, errr, day 11? We did it on Thursday and Friday and then not again until this Saturday as I was in Wales.

I haven't been watching the Olympics at all. I'm just not sporty. I used to like watching it when I was a kid and probably would like it if I made the effort to watch it but the days just pass by and I don't think about it.

I've started packing up the house for the house move today. Baaaa. Feel like being a sulky teenager and saying 'can't be bothered'.

I hope you are both ok too, M2O and MBM.

nandos · 12/08/2008 15:44

goodluck becky ..hopefully this month is your month. r u planning to test?
was watching the women's weightlifting and korea won the gold medal- carried 135kg weight!
i can hardly carry 20kg, let alone carry above my head lol

BeckyBendyLegs · 12/08/2008 17:17

I'll test at the weekend when AF is due. But I don't think so. Yesterday I was convinced my boobies were sore but today I could go jogging without a bra...

BeckyBendyLegs · 14/08/2008 15:17

I did the test today and it is negative. I can feel AF coming anyway. I am so fed up. I don't think I have the energy for this: its too emotional every month. I don't know what to do. I know it is only the second proper month I think, or is it the third? so early days I know but I should be about six months pregnant by now looking forward to Christmas with a new baby not sitting here feeling like the world hates me. Its just too hard. Ahhhhhhhhh!

SesQal · 14/08/2008 19:02

Hi Becky!

Saw your post and just wanted to say a friendly hello. Sorry your feeling like AF is on way. Somtimes it all just seems so unfair!

I'm back ttc myself now after my mc problems. I know what you mean about thinking you would have been 6 months now as well. I heard today that a work colleague of mine who was 10 weeks ahead of me (with my first pg/mc) had given birth to a little boy. Am really pleased for her but it just made me think about where I would have been now

Thinking of you x

BeckyBendyLegs · 14/08/2008 19:43

Hi Ses (wave back!)

It's a funny old world...a friend of mine who is due just before me has her picture on facebook proudly showing off her lovely bump. Baaa humbug!

I feel a bit better now, had a good cry this afternoon, and am going to treat myself to a glass of red wine with my tea.

There's always next month...

Good luck with your TTCing. As my DH keeps saying: at least we get to have lots of fun trying.

nandos · 15/08/2008 13:05

Hi becky..hi sesqal
sorry been away for a while cos' been bz trying to sort out my stuff out for the long vacation next wk..
theres so much to pack and i am taking 2 big bags which i hardly carry
becky, have you thought of seeing a consultant after the mc? they might be able to help you out esp after a mc.
my appt is this coming wed and i cant wait to see them..
sesqal, welcome may i ask how long you been ttc? as for me..its been 3 yrs
i cant believe i am so cool abt it..the travelling is affecting me a lot i guess

CatherineMumsnet · 15/08/2008 13:13

Hello everyone
Just been catching up on how you are all doing. Congratulations mbs on your BFP thats wonderful news, hopefully you will feel better soon and be able to enjoy being pg.
Sorry about your AF becky enjoy your wine tonight though!!
m2o hope your wrist is on the mend.
nandos enjoy your break and good luck with your appt.
I haven't really been up to posting lately as I just needed a bit of poor me time! Feeling a bit better now. Got a letter from drs asking me back for another blood screening test 8 wks after mc which I had done 3.5 wks ago and am now waiting for results. Was asked not to ttc before then and was pretty grrr about it at first but tbh when we went on hol at the beginning of July it meant I could tuck into the wine and not worry about its effect on ttc. Am now officially back on the ttc wagon so keeping fingers crossed.
Luv to you all
