TTC for first baby thread !

Hello - I thought I’d start a TTC thread specifically for those of us who are trying for our first babies. I’ve joined other threads before but find it difficult connecting to others who may already have babies as I think ttc for your first is a whole other ball game as no other children and first time.

@cobalt123 Yes, BFN again this morning (14dpo) and feeling very crampy so I’m expecting AF in full force later today 😔

@Brunch123 I think I’m due on around today, this is only my third cycle off birth control and the previous 2 were 32 and then 24 days so it’s a bit of a guessing game at this point!

@GladDenimGoose 2dpo today so also at the start of a long tww 🤣

👋 @Utardelis each time the tww comes around I go steadily more insane. I just find it so so hard to focus on anything else. Hopefully you're better at distracting yourself than I am!

@GladDenimGoose I’m absolutely dreadful 🤣 this month I’m trying to tell myself if it’s not meant to be at least I can have a drink at Christmas

are you an early tester?
I got my last positive at 9dpo (sadly ended in MMC) so I feel like that’s when I’m going to get very impatient 😆

I try not to test but if I have tests in the house I inevitably do. I don't track ovulation - I only guess based on cm and when my app says when it's my fertile period - so I find it hard to know when is reasonable to start testing!

How is everyone getting on? I'm trying to hold out for another few days before testing. AF not due until next Thursday

I’m still waiting for AF to arrive 7 days late now just want to move on to the next cycle it’s driving me mad!!
How are you feeling @GladDenimGoose ?? Are you symptom spotting yet? It’s so hard not to!!!

@Allmywishcometrue yes done 3 tests over the week, last tested couple of days ago. I do think I’m starting with cramps now so hopefully is on its way. My friend was recently 8 days late!!

@Brunch123 I am often reqlly late too, our bodies are so funny (/sarcastic ). I hope AF arrives today or tomorrow for you so you can start a new cycle soon

So frustrating to be teased with a late period - hopefully it comes soon @Brunch123 I suppose I have been symptom spotting but there's been literally nothing at all to spot 😂 before TTC I never noticed any symptoms throughout my cycle and I'd say the same is true now. Only thing is my left (yes only my left) nipple is slightly tender but I think that's normal for me!

@Allmywishcometrue @GladDenimGoose thank you both! My period has been very regular since coming off the pill but I have had a lot of stress at work last month so I wonder if that’s why?

@Brunch123 I am on day 9 of my 2 WW. I feel weirdly calm about it. Maybe it's the fear of seeing a negative that makes me be a bit in denial?

I’m on day 5 of AF and hoping it will finish soon 🫠

I am 6dpo today - driving myself mad as in my last pregnancy which ended in miscarriage my symptoms started insanely early at 6dpo, first was spitting my coffee out. Tastes fine this morning so of course my brains straight to not this month 🫠 need to get better at not obsessing on the past in upcoming cycles

whens everyone planning on testing

Hi ladies, checking back in after over a month! I got a BFN for 2nd cycle at the start of Nov. For 3rd cycle, I’d been having a few symptoms: sore boobs, very hot, tired so tested 10DPO (a week ago) and got a positive test! Luckily have continued to test positive and no sign of period, it’s 3 days late. Praying that this sticks. Have an early scan booked for 19th Dec when I’ll be 6weeks+2 if everything carries on fine 🤞So sorry to hear about disappointing news for some people and crossing everything for lucky Christmas cycles for you all ❤️

Hello! I hope I can join in! Me and DH have been ttc baby #1 for 5 years and FINALLY have been able to start medicated cycles this month after never seeing a positive ovulation test. I’m only cycle day 3 but I’m on day 2 of Letrozole xx

Took a test this morning which was negative so I think I'm out - AF due on Thursday. 😔
