Don’t tell me this is positive? My second baby is only 5 months old…

This came up in the 3 minutes. I know sometimes clearblue tests can show false positives and this is so so faint. I feel sick. My pregnancy was so bad last time and I was in such a bad mental state. I’ve been on the pill but haven’t had my period.

I'm Irish it's fine.

also Irish and have no issues with the term.

What joy some people get from policing posts for excuses to get offended.

rainbowbaby2 · 21/10/2025 07:08

Yeah maybe I’ll get a pink dye test.

I’ve got two 16 months apart and it’s fucking hard. They’re best friends though so there is always a blessing

rainbowbaby2 · 21/10/2025 07:13

@OverthebowI came off the patch about a month ago and haven’t had my period back yet so I bought a test just for peace of mind as I was feeling worried, expecting it to come back completely negative. Baby is formula fed so I’d had regular periods for a while before I trialled the patch but I didn’t get on with it so that’s when I came off it.

@Yibbleyabble Irish twins is an offensive term.

Also Irish and not remotely offended….

So youcame off the patch and were using which form of contraception ? If you have had unprotected sex then yes you could be pregnant.

rainbowbaby2 · 21/10/2025 07:16

@NeurodiversitydoctorI know I could be, that’s why I took a test.

OP posts:
sittingonabeach · 21/10/2025 07:18

So you aren’t using any form of contraception?

nasalfluvaccine · 21/10/2025 07:24

not sure that’s the point of the op. Nosey Parker

rainbowbaby2 · 21/10/2025 07:26

@sittingonabeachI normally use natural cycles which has always worked well for me over the last 10 or so years but obviously there’s a chance I could of gone it wrong this time with coming off the patch, as I hadn’t had a cycle yet. I could have ovulated at a different time maybe. Although I was pretty sure I already had when we DTD. I want another child in the future. I just wasn’t expecting it right now with my baby being so small.

My late OH was both Irish, and an Irish twin and they both happily called themselves that all the time.

Neurodiversitydoctor · 21/10/2025 07:34

How do youfeel about the possibility of pregnancy ?

aLogLady · 21/10/2025 07:35

...sorry for the complete off topic discussions on your request for help OP. Completely agree with EmPeEf all tests looked to me like evap lines. I've had several on clear blue tests. The line is thin and poorly formed, not like the control line that is soft and much wider and uniform. It's absolutely ridiculous that women are left to interpret lines on CB whether wanting to be pregnant or not. They should be banned imho.

rainbowbaby2 · 21/10/2025 07:44

@Neurodiversitydoctorworried, hence the point of my OP.

Neurodiversitydoctor · 21/10/2025 07:47

I hope it works out for you. If being pregnant is really a problem I think once this is sorted you should start using proper contraception. Take another test in a few days should be clearer by then.

aLogLady · 21/10/2025 08:05

edited as i made a mistake

cannynotsay · 21/10/2025 08:09

These looks like a very early positive to me. I’d test again in a few days. Then decide what you wanna do

poshcrisps · 21/10/2025 08:12

Berlinlover · 20/10/2025 23:12

@Yibbleyabble Irish twins is an offensive term.

@Berlinlover MOST of the Irish don't think that way as they are normal kind of fun loving people.

I have friends who are so proud of being "Irish twins"

But keep on looking and you'll probably find something else this morning to be offended by.

CurlewKate · 21/10/2025 08:13

You need to test again- then you’ll be in a position to make informed decisions.

Brassknucks · 21/10/2025 08:39

@rainbowbaby2 definitely get a pink dye one asap! I’ve always found Clear blue massively unclear. Shite tests. And digital don’t tell you unless you’re a few weeks. Actually I had 3 digitals just not work.

I think it’s likely that you’re pregnant. I have a small age gap and loved it but equally have known people who wished they’d not had two so close together.

if you are pregnant then you’ve found out super early and that gives you time to make a decision that’ll suit you and your family x

theressomanytinafeysicouldbe · 21/10/2025 08:50

I would test again today or tomorrow and see if the line gets stronger

My brothers are Irish twins born 364 days apart

EmPeEf · 21/10/2025 08:52

rainbowbaby2 · 21/10/2025 07:04

These were last nights tests. I know you shouldn’t look at them after 10 minutes but these lines were definitely there in the 3 minutes. Could it be a chemical pregnancy?

Both look like evap lines. If your period is late it probably means you ovulated later in the month.

StrongLikeMamma · 21/10/2025 08:55

Doesn’t look positive to me.

Yibbleyabble · 21/10/2025 09:17

My goodness, I'm fascinated that some people have taken a supportive post towards OP, scrutinised one term that may be deemed derogatory by a minority whilst not even considering a response to what OP has asked/is worried about. IMHO it comes across as thoughtless.
Whilst I'm not Irish and have never been offended by the term, I fully understand the origins of the phrase and appreciate that some people could find it insulting therefore I apologise to those whom find the term offensive.
Now, back to the main point of being here...
How are you feeling OP? Hope you're ok.

BrightSpark10 · 21/10/2025 09:22

cpuld be positive, could be evap line… did you test again ? Try old school strips rather than clear blue
