It is getting on my nerves too. I've told her a million times its just 1 and she still tells people I am having twins. Its quite annoying to have to tell people she has told that I am having 1.

Teuch · 23/05/2008 07:40

tummy muscles?

What an interestin concept!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 23/05/2008 07:43

I do have them Teuch, I've felt them, they are just a bit erm..... tired

I keep thinking a sugar hit would wake them up, so I eat the 3rd mars bar and they still do nothing! LOL

(Am kidding by the way, I have sunk an enormous pile of crap food this week, but not 3 mars bars!)

OP posts:
kayzisexpecting · 23/05/2008 07:45

I eat too much crap. I really should eat fruit instead.

You are meant to get bigger quicker in 2nd/3rd etc pregnancies.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 23/05/2008 08:00

I find by the time I get the end of the first trimester, I am looking about 7 months pregnant, by the end of the second trimester about 8 months, and then by the end of the pregnancy I look full term.

Last time though, they sent me for a GTT, just because of how big my bump was, I hope they don't do that again, not only almost pointless and a PITA, but the drink was disgusting, having said that, not being able to eat/drink before it, the drink was refreshingly disgusting LOL

My mum is back off holiday today, well late last night, don't know whether to tell her what's gone on this week or not, she has seen my sister go through 4 horrible MC's (not that any MC is nice, but there are some particular nastier ones...).

morning ladies

i look big too at least 4 months
welcome to the new bods we are lovely on here
hi nat poor ds2 hope he feels better soon

Squack · 23/05/2008 08:26

Dd- hardly showed at al, had ab's of steel from rnnng so much.

Ds1- was unfeasably huge from start-finish given how small i was, my stomach went to somewhere hot on holiday and have yet to return .

Ds2- immediately looked about 5 months pg from week5 had a friend wh was due within a week of me who was tiny, until she hit 6 months and 'bloomed', I stayed the same bloody size and was then scanned for possible failure to thrive. Make up yer feckin minds m/w's.

By 6 months everyone evens out I think.

Welcome to anyone who stepped in last night

Either I have conjunctivitis or the high pollen has played havoc with my eyes, to the point where I can't open one this morning. Have took Piriton, saved my teabag for when it's cooled down and put chloramphenicol eye drops in in case it's infected.

Are there any other random medications I can take to enable me to drive to work?

LL How you doing? How did the test go?

Squack · 23/05/2008 08:29

running has not have

oh and if there are anymore I can't see 'em properly.

kookykid · 23/05/2008 09:00

Off to Tesco (oh joy), but will check back later.
Have a good morning everyone!

kayzisexpecting · 23/05/2008 09:21

I just went to clean the bathroom and I couldn't as the chemicals made me feel really sick. DH is going to do it instead.

glaskham · 23/05/2008 09:37

morning all!!! Hello all other newbies!!

Diege · 23/05/2008 09:53

Morning!! Good tyo see the waogn filling up nicely, although most of us are running along the side with cattle rods trying to get the back seat residents out
Size-wise in pregnancy, with dd1 started shpwing at around 20 weeks (fitted in to size 8 wedding dress at 24 weeks ), dd2, started showing about 14 weeks (twas only 16 months between dd1 and dd2), then around 15 weeks or so with dd3. Have severe hossy-job hyperemesis with dds 1 and 3 though, so that might account for late bumps. Was huge at end, though 5 days early with all 3. Hopefully I won't show too soon with no.4 as I'd like to keep it from work until at least 12 weeks!!
You done that test yet LL?

kayzisexpecting · 23/05/2008 10:31

Am I the only person that tells people before 12 weeks?

People on my Due Dec thread are going to wait until they have had the 20 week scan so if they have a MC no one will know.

I think I am confused.

Teuch · 23/05/2008 10:54

I'm not telling 'til it is born

People are different - I personally would want support if I had a miscarriage, but I still won't tell for a few weeks more.

kay when I was pregnant earlier this year, we decided not to tell most people until after our 12 week appointment 'in case something went wrong'. But when something did go wrong (at 11 weeks!) we felt that we wished we had told DH's family (we had told mine). It was really hard to pretend that everything was just fine when it clearly wasn't. Also, I did end up telling some people and in the end I really wish I had told them when I had had happy news to share instead of sad. It's a personal decision, but that's what we took away from the experience.

kayzisexpecting · 23/05/2008 11:17

See I'd want support too. I wouldn't hide the death of another family memeber so why should my baby be any different. I know I would need the support from my family and friends. Also I need to have time off work and it would be better all round if they knew.

Diege · 23/05/2008 11:20

I think what you say is true for many people LBOT (is it ok to shorthen to than? . I'll tell friends, but just keep it from work until after 12 weeks, more about not wanting everyone at work to be going ON about the whole thing, on a daily basis! (ooh you'll have your hands full...hoping for a boy this time??? yadda yadda yawn...). Now my family is another thing...my mum will be negative I know, so may just wait till later for a quiet life from her too!!!
How sad am I...already looking for symptoms on 2 days after ov ...

lastboxoftampons · 23/05/2008 11:42

Hee! LBOT! I like it
I don't think I would tell work either. I was actually going to wait as long as I could to tell them (before it got obvious). But next time we'll definitely tell his parents - not right after we get our BFP, but maybe around 8 weeks or so. One of the reasons why I was so put off telling his mother was because when we first found out SIL was pg with their first, I congratulated her and she said 'yes, well, we'll see if it progresses' She's a strange woman!

Diege · 23/05/2008 12:17

Oh charming! Sounds like you have a MIL like many of us on this thread

kayzisexpecting · 23/05/2008 12:21

I'm now watching that 13 kids program that was on last night. I honestly would die if I had that many. DH looks like he is going to drop dead when I mention wanting 4!!!!!!!

nobodyputsBBinthecorner · 23/05/2008 12:24

kayzisexpecting · 23/05/2008 12:28

nobodyputsBBinthecorner · 23/05/2008 12:37
