ooh happy you've touched a nerve there, as I had exactly the same a while back at our local cafe. I don't think you're being unreasonable at all - would be different if you were bringing butties in for the adults, but to think you've been lining their pockets for the past year and they won't be reasonable . With me, I dared to bring out a mini chocolate muffin for dd3 to play with/eat in her high chair while us adults were tucking into all-day breakfasts, and was asked to take it off her or leave. So I did (take it off her) knowing full well the resulting tantrum (she didn't let me down) and smiled serenely at the staff . Maybe ask to speak to the manager about it, pointing out the implications?
Well, back from hairdresser (am now craving a battered sausage thank you Nat, and I'm a vegetarian )so not much time for proper work. Am going to order some cheapy ov sticks I think, though they've never worked for me before!

kayzisexpecting · 29/05/2008 15:42

There was a lovely cafe here. They were great, would warm up bottles, let you bring in food for DC's and they had a blender and would mush up their own food for DC's to try. They have retired now and the new owners wont even let you take food for DC's in you have to buy jars from them.

We refuse to go there now and the couple who used to own it are really upset about it.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 29/05/2008 15:43

Someone say craving Diege? Have you got something to tell us? What other symptoms are you hiding?!!

for you as well Happy, at least during the summer, can you not arrange to do the swimming and then go for a picnic at local park or something? Seems a shame to let it ruin your outing

Thanks for making me feel better - we'll have to come up with some sort of plan, am sure there are either other pools to go to, or somewhere for picnicking - as long as the weather is ok!! Will wait to hear what they have to say in response to my snotty email.

kookykid · 29/05/2008 15:54

HN, I too am on your behalf. People are just so thoughtless. You're blooming well with other people who have bought stuff, it's unreasonable to expect you to buy too. I'd complain bitterly to the management!
I am so enjoying this thread! Thanks everyone for cheering me up. Will be doing a HPT on 11th June. I am telling you this so you don't let me test before!

Moosma · 29/05/2008 16:05

The only things I crave when pregnant Nat are processed garden peas and tinned tomatoes ...have always fancied the look of the battered saudages, maybe a Freudian thing?

Diege · 29/05/2008 16:42

Diege · 29/05/2008 17:26

Thanks LL . Back to the grind stone next week, boo!
Nat, my 'baby face' is a mixed blessing . Great that people are surprised I'm 38 (ahem, need to change the list again...)but I also get the usual from the 'older' generation who I see looking for my wedding ring when I'm on the bus with the dds...even had the comment, complete with tut, from elderly lady 'baby's having babies' when out with newborn dd3 (I was 35 at the time) . So I am the great ageless one who can empathise with Kayz, yet have the wisdom of the thread elder] (eldest??!!!)

kayzisexpecting · 29/05/2008 17:26

God Diege you are gorgeous!!!!

Diege · 29/05/2008 17:27

Diege · 29/05/2008 17:28

tinkhasabunintheoven · 29/05/2008 17:28
