Oh no Kay, have you taken anything? Hope you feel better soon.

OP posts:
kayzisexpecting · 27/05/2008 07:27

Yeah taken paracetamol but it doesn't seem to work. I think I might come home from work and go straight to bed.

tinkiszzzz · 27/05/2008 07:30

hi ladies

happy birthday to you diege have a great 1
k sorry you are feeling mean hope you feel better soon
nj hi

Diege · 27/05/2008 08:30

Morning girls, and thanks for the birthday wishes, I'm really touched ...don't give up the day job Nat, your singing, while touching, needs a bit of fine tuning Well, it's throwing it down here, so will have to modify plans slightly, but will still be going out for lunch with dds and dh, and then out again tonight. MIL is cross with me as I've said I need to be back home for 9pm as Apprentice is on today rather than Wednesday, sad I know but hey it's the highlight of my week .
Poor you Kay . I would say if the headaches continue see your GP, as they can prescribe stronger stuff that's safe in pregnancy if you're getting migraines (which they sound very much like). In fact, migraleve is actually safe believe it or not as it's paracetemol-based (so the midwife told me in my last pregnancy) but you'd need to double check if it's still the case.
Arghh, dds are driving me mad already and it's only the first day of half term!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/05/2008 08:40

I am very offended Diege, I was thinking of going in for X Factor this year I would get through to the judges, but only as one of the ones that are crap and make good viewing LOL

Grrr at MIL, your birthday = your choice.

Kay, do double check the migraleve, when I was pregnant with DS2, they said I couldn't have it, though will happily go and cave their skulls in with an axe if it turns out I could have taken it!

When are you due?

OP posts:
Teuch · 27/05/2008 08:52

Ah congratulations pop!!!

Details please?

Happy birthday Diege - no singing here...even DS tells me to stop

Kay - I have been plagued with headaches too. Drink as much as you possibly can swallow, including a sugary drink if you can. And I'll wait to hear how you fare with teh migraleve as that would be very good!

Roasting here already

Teuch · 27/05/2008 08:53

Shit NJ - you have put that crappy Kylie song in my head!!!!!

Yup - due date?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/05/2008 08:55

Crappy Kylie song? Does migaleve get rid of crappy Kylie songs? LOL

LOL

Teuch · 27/05/2008 08:57

"the way you move, the rhythm when you're dancing...every inch of you spells out desire...you're wow wow wow wow!"

T'is bad - I mean, she's forty - who knows of men her age that dance and spell out desire??!!

Sorry, Pop. As you were!

pregnantpopcornprincess · 27/05/2008 08:58

Due date is the 4th Feb. A chilly baby.

Praying this one makes it but I suppose I would be daft to think like that. Just need to relax and go with it.

I did wonder if was pregnant as i've been feeling really tired and spaced out - DH reckons thats nothing knew though! cheeky sod. Wee'd in a pot at 5.30 this morning - stored it. I went to Tesco this morning to get a test. Got a clear blue digital as not due until tomorrow and then came home and tested. Within a minute i got a pregnant.

Got wasted over the weekend at a birthday party as I convinced myself that i wasn't so looks like that will be my last binge drinking session for a while.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/05/2008 08:59

You know too much about Kylie..... am wondering if it is the way you are in general, or if it the pregnancy affecting your brain....

OP posts:
Teuch · 27/05/2008 09:01

Aw, pop that's such good news. Try to relax and enjoy. We can be miserable and wish away the weeks and months, or we can try to experience the joy of being pregnant for however long

NJ - I do worry that this kind of stuff is using up precious brain-space that I really need for, say, my job or fine motor skills...

Who needs fine motor skills? Kylie facts on tap are obviously a much better waste use of brain energy. Stick with it girl, I aspire to be as clever

Diege · 27/05/2008 09:36

Wow great news POP!!, and thanks for reporting back to the wagon so quickly .
Isn't it odd how diferent midwives give different advice about what you can/can't take when pregnant? I (very) happily popped migraleve with their blessing , but they just asked me to read out ingrediants from the back over the 'phone so hardly a clinical trial...
Will deffo make sure MIL is packed up and out of the house by 9 tonight...We are aiming to get back from restaurant by 8.30 so that it doesn't seem too obvious

Squack · 27/05/2008 11:30

Congratulations Pregnantpopcornprincess!

nobodyputsBBinthecorner · 27/05/2008 12:15

happy bday diege! congrats pop!

Cosmogirl · 27/05/2008 12:54

Happy birthday Diege.

Big congrats Pop.

Wow what a lucky thread this is turning out to be.

Good luck with the chat GJ. My DH seems to be talking more about starting a family lately, and I reckon if I said I wanted to try now he might well say let's go for it. Quite exciting though I know that I'm not quite ready yet. I'd say I'm 90 per cent there most days.

AF has gone thankfully. Will be on vigilant EWCM watch this cycle though. Can't believe I was caught out by a 27 day cycle after the 70 day mammoth one! Coming off b/c is an odd experience.

Moosma · 27/05/2008 13:13

Happy birthday Diege!

Congratulations Pop!

That sounds very hopeful Cosmo and GJ, you'll soon have your DP/H's wrapped around your pregnant little finger

We had a look at the house plans last night and they look really good I had a bit of a thick moment though, my parents were talking about keeping the 2 children's bedrooms similar sizes so there wouldn't be fighting over them but DH was trying to convince them that one large and one small would be better so that 2 can share the big one. I kept saying "but why?" and he was saying "because of our plans" "What plans?" says me, all blond and dim. I got there in the end - poor DH he does dispair! And I don't think my P's caught on [phew!]

kayzisexpecting · 27/05/2008 14:09

YAY!!!!! Congratulations Pop!!!!!

I ran the GP's and they said I can't have migraleve. The GP actually said that some 'hippy' GP's perscribe it but its not safe to takeI have to stick with paracetamol and drink water and rest.

happynappies · 27/05/2008 14:19

Congratulations Pop!! Wow - another BFP!!! Am so hoping lots more of us will be joining you soon.

And Happy Birthday Diege - hope you're having a lovely day!

Just back from toddler group - exhausted. Dd napping but dh just came home for lunch unexpectedly, so haven't been able to get onto Mumsnet as quickly as I'd have liked!!

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Have started charting with FF so any FF'ers with hints and tips I'd be very grateful.
