@FlyHighSky72 I turn 36 next week. I got pregnant in 3 months just over a year ago and the TFMR broke something in me. I have had my c section defect removed (the TFMR stretched it) and endometriosis removed. My blood tests all appear to be fine. AMH and testosterone were slightly on the high side and I have just reordered those test now endometriosis has been removed. So technically there isn't anything stopping me from conceiving

peanutForever · 20/05/2025 11:37

Morning 🥰 how is everyone today?
I've woken up with a good mindset. I got my bloods back and they all look really good. My Vit D and b12 is a really good level so supplements working. Thyroid I'd good. My iron is very borderline so I'm going to work on that now. Plan is to book some private bloods to test progesterone and some of the other hormonal ones. Anyone know which ones I should be testing before goggling please let me know 🥰 got partner on wellman supplements and high vit D. Any others?! I'm making sure I'm hydrated, cutting down on sugar, lots of protein and fruits and veggies. Working out more, getting my steps in. And just trying to keep a positive mindset for this month. If we aren't lucky this cycle will also do a semen analysis xx

ALSO does anyone know, do I need to do this hormone tests at a particular stage of my cycle?

ChaE05 · 20/05/2025 11:16

Same! I had a miscarriage in Feb and fell pregnant straight after! But ended in a chemical at 5 weeks. Unsuccessful the last 2 cycles. Everything crossed for June 🤞xx

@ChaE05 same exact position as you! Really sorry that you're going through this. I mc at 7 wks in Feb, chemical in March (no period in between). We took April off though because I wasn't doing well and started again in May. Here's hoping June works out!

jelliebean9 · 20/05/2025 11:49

ForGiddyDreamer · 20/05/2025 09:40

Morning @jelliebean9 My understanding is that when you feel ov pain, it can still take 24-48 hours to happen. I use the Advanced CB to track too. Last cycle I got flashing on Friday, then Static on Saturday. On Sat I had ovulation pain. I have multiple holders so retested on Monday and got static again. Negative come Tuesday so assume ov happened Monday? Did the bd Sat, Sun & Mon, unsuccessful however!

Thank you for this. It’s really helpful 😀

ChaE05 · 20/05/2025 12:08

Forgot to add we are making sure dtd every 2-3 days so sperm is nice and fresh 🤣

MummyV2021 · 20/05/2025 12:19

Hi all!! I'm tentatively joining this thread... officially 1DPO following a D&C for MMC in March (took 6 weeks for AF to return). I also had a chemical in September and early MC in December so have been referred to recurrent MC clinic. Initial tests following the D&C are normal (I don't have sticky blood and no genetic abnormalities with the pregnancy) so now waiting for the appointment with the consultant. I have also been referred to Tommy's through my GP and have my first appointment with them on 5th September. I still want to TTC in the meantime though as am 39 now and TTC #2. I had 2 early MCs before conceiving my little boy who's now 3.5. All very close together. Based on conversations and research, I suspect I might be hyperfertile as I seem to get pregnant VERY easily, but struggle to get past the 6 week mark (my MMC was found at 9 weeks, but stopped growing at 6 weeks). I'm taking ALL the supplements for egg quality and doing everything I can for my physical and mental health. I am SUPER anxious about what a BFP could mean this cycle, especially without any interventions like progesterone (which GP won't prescribe without consultant input sadly), but will hopefully be able to get early scans at EPU given my referrals and situation if I do get a BFP this time. I know it sounds silly, but a BFP just brings me zero joy anymore as I've had so bloody many of them!! I kind of want to hold off testing until I'm at least a week late, but part of me wants to know ASAP so that I can push for support if needed... I'm so torn. Guess I've got 2 weeks to figure out what to do! And also prepare myself for the disappointment of a potential BFN.

I'm loving the positivity and support in this thread though, so hoping this will help me over the next 2 weeks!

peanutForever · 20/05/2025 12:19

@ChaE05i believe theres a day 21 progesterone test to confirm ovulation, But think you can get the strips for these..we also take coq10 and cod liver oil

hollyhocks2 · 20/05/2025 15:18

Wow @MummyV2021 what a journey you've had so far. Thank you for describing the anxiety of a positive test, I felt so nervous of that this cycle, even though I've 'only' had two losses (and 1 successful pregnancy before them). If I feel ambivalent I'm not surprised you do. It's confusing to want to be pregnant and also dread the early days and weeks and months. Sending you some strength and yes we will all get each other through it. I share the dilemma with testing early too, as it's neither a definite negative nor a definite positive! Everything crossed for us all to get there in the end ❤️

Hi all
Im CD7 today (AF finished CD5), had some brownish EWCM last night and more of a clear/creamy coloured EWCM today - normally im earliest CD11/12 for it to start
opks are negative but I can decide if I think they are a bit stronger than what they were this time last month
is it time to start DTD? Bit worried that we will burn out if start too early and i dont end up ovulating for another 10 days 😅 any thoughts/advice welcomed

To be covered if you’re worried you’re gonna ovulate early DTD tonight and every other/third day depending on what the OPK shows 🥰 In 10 days every 3rd day is only 3 times ish

peanutForever · 20/05/2025 18:13

@MummyV2021my gp is referring me to epu for the same thing/similar situation to yours in the hopes they will prescribe progesterone - if you tell them the situation, your gp should be able to as well especially if you have been referred to recurrent miscarriage clinic (i was referred but rejected due to not having had 3 in a row but successful pregnancy in between and that was on prog )

MummyV2021 · 20/05/2025 18:23

@hollyhocks2so sorry to hear what you’ve been through too. And no matter how many losses and how many children they all bloody hurt. The anxiety is real! I’m trying to stay positive and look after my mental health but know it will get tricky as TWW comes to an end! Part of me doesn’t want to test so I wouldn’t know for sure but part of me is like, if I get AF a week late and I don’t test and don’t know then that would be another loss that I wouldn’t be able to tell the consultant about when the time comes. So I think I’ll test but not early so I don’t drive myself mad! We’ll get there I’m sure 🤞🏼🥰 sending you strength too!

@peanutForeversounds like you have a good GP. I asked mine last week about what to do if I get a BFP and they just said ‘wait and see’, so I left feeling quite deflated as am pretty confident I will get a BFP before I see a consultant given my pattern but we’ll see. It’s so tough having to meet criteria for referrals. You might be able to push for a referral to Tommy’s?

peanutForever · 20/05/2025 18:30

Yes i could probs, my GP is brilliant- acknowledges i have issues but that the nhs wont investigate. I struggle to lose weight but dont have an insulin issue, or pcos. i was actually offered to take part in a research study on hyperfertility study before DS but it didnt go through to delays during covid and by that point i was pregnant. Im just pinning my hopes that the baby aspirin and wild yam cream get me through this time

peanutForever · 20/05/2025 18:32

@MummyV2021sorry your gp is rubbish, i dont understand why they arent proactive enough- im sure once you go epu and explain prog will be prescribed, fingers crossed for you! X

Hi @MummyV2021 , you can get progesterone from private clinics if you wanted to try this without waiting, I got it after an initial consultation

MummyV2021 · 20/05/2025 22:49

@peanutForeverit is crap isn’t it. Would save so much time, effort and money if they were given the ability to prescribe progesterone I’m sure! Will see how I get on, thank you! And fingers crossed your current plant is successful!!

@Muddysocks1I hadn’t considered that to be fair, I’ll look into it, thanks! X

Ec2808 · 21/05/2025 08:49

Ec2808 · 21/05/2025 09:15

ChaE05 · 21/05/2025 09:39

Morning everyone.. after my blood tests results yesterday I had message from the GP saying they were all fine and now they have referred me to the hospital to have a pelvic ultrasound scan and also sent a link to book in for extra bloods to be taken day 1-4 my cycle, for the fertility clinic. I guess I'm quite surprised at how efficient they have been as i was looking into paying for these. Hope everyone is okay x

That’s good progress! I’m just waiting on results from my GP bloods, I feel like mine aren’t so efficient

How long is everyone planning on TTC before trying to sort some tests out? I’m 37 and have one DS who is ten - this is a new partner though

Hi lovely, I am in the same boat as you. One son from previous marriage but now ttc with a new partner. The recommendation for over 35s is 6 months before testing. However my husband took a lot longer to test (I couldn't convince him earlier). We are currently waiting for his results.

I mean I don't know how long I will have to wait for the pelvic scan 🤣 but atleast GP are doing things their end, which I've been surprised about. Have you been waiting long for your results? I think I'm still going to pay to get my progesterone checked 7dpo. But some of you have said about testing at home? I've not heard of this x
