@Muddysocks1wonder if my peak was incorrect then and i ovulated much later?? Could be possible as then i missed the window im just not sure!

Possibly! Luteal phases tend to be fairly consistent, so I’d compare with what it’s usually like. There are odd months, but it tends to be the follicular phase that varies more than luteal

@LookForTheLiight I’m 7/8 DPO today and had said I’d test Sunday. Half tempted to do one tomorrow now, even though it’s early! Hard to resist the urge.😂

Soooo hard!! Do you have them in? I’m kinda nervous about testing cos of the potential for disappointment 😓
My husband is a few years older than me and we’ve said we’ll try until his birthday then we’ll stop if it hasn’t happened yet as he doesn’t want to be much older than that.

Nyxxie · 29/05/2025 18:47

10dpo and started spotting and cramping so definitely out 😞

Mentioned to DH that we are eligible for NHS tests now as it’s been 6 months and we’re over 35 and he seemed to take offence to the very suggestion of it.

Now just feeling sad and a bit alone 😢

peanutForever · 29/05/2025 18:53

@Muddysocks1tbh im not gna give it much thought now..onto the next cycle

we missed the window last month and so this was our first proper month (however with DH footy injury we only managed to BD the first two days and i got my peak after and we couldnt DTD) so even if i ovulated two days after my peak it was unlikely!

its just ive gotten pregnant so quickly in the past that ive never had to track/compare- should have done this before hand and lots of BD next month i hope- im gna have to think of ways to seduce DP as he wants things to naturally happen and i dont happen to make the first move naturally so he will know somethings up lol

Sorry to hear, I hope that it might be implantation but I really understand the feeling that you’re out. ❤️ 9 DPO and same… Maybe give your husband a moment to feel the emotions and then talk to him about it again, It’s an important topic and it’s better to seek help too early than too late and have to wait longer than you needed to 🥹

peanutForever · 29/05/2025 18:54

Sorry @Nyxxiedefo dont delay that if u can...even if DH doesnt get his tests done, sometimes the reassurance of knowing the tests are round the corner bring some luck, lots of baby dust xx

Ladies...just been thinking it would be quite nice when getting bfps maybe just to say your age and how long you have been trying. I try hard to keep up but there are so many of us lol. It just helps to give us all a bit of hope and positivity! What do we think xx

So I’m 32, 33 next month, this was cycle number 4 of trying. We have 3 children already 9yr old boy, 7yr old girl 4yr old boy. I conceived first try with the others so I was getting myself worked up abit as it took abit longer this time round. We miscarried at 10 weeks between first and second child, so even though I’m happy right now I don’t think it will fully feel real until after the 10 weeks mark

A2025 · 29/05/2025 19:24

@LookForTheLiight Ya, I stocked up this week.😂 It’s our first cycle trying so I’m not expecting it to happen so soon but I just want to know so I can get myself mentally ready for the next cycle? We’re both 36 so we know it could take a little longer too.

Well I will keep my fingers crossed for you that it happens soon. It’s tough going, isn’t it?

Nyxxie · 29/05/2025 19:43

@BerrieSweet@peanutForever thanks ladies. I think he just feels like because we’ve had a child already we don’t need any tests and all is fine. I will definitely book myself in at least x

10dpo is a really common day to see implantation spotting. It could have happened in any of the days leading up to it. Don’t give up yet x

ForGiddyDreamer · 29/05/2025 20:32

@Nyxxie don't count yourself out until AF comes. My Feb pregnancy I didn't get BFP until 16/17dpo. I remember getting some light bleeding and being so deflated around 12dpo but that was implantation bleeding! It barely used a tampon and was gone in 12 hours.

BerrieSweet · 29/05/2025 10:57

Sending hugs, me and my DH has been through it too, not DTD when you get the peak is so stressful because the window is so slim, don’t feel bad ❤️ Hope everything gets better today. One time when we were in that exact situation I pretended I wasn’t sad anymore in the morning so the vibe was good between us and we were able to DTD at least one time and the rest of the cycle didn’t feel hopeless. The egg is still alive some hours after it’s released 🥰 Then after you can talk to your DH again and get support / be angry 😂😂 (ok sry take this with a pinch of salt)

Yeah so I literally did this today and we’ve been great all day as the app was telling me today is ovulation day. Then bam, he’s just hit me with another rejection. He’d literally rather play on his phone at the moment- I’m so pissed off at him!!!

thanks all, this is deffo not me putting pressure on him as he didn’t even know I’d had a positive and was just going with holiday ‘fun’.

I feel very unwanted and unsexy. I’ve made every effort I could with clothes, make up, even underwear and he actually said, ‘“you know I don’t like it when you try too hard”, when I made a move. If he isn’t interested on a sunny holiday where we are relaxing all day, that’s like a slap in the face?

Sorry, but I’m actually starting to wonder whether a second child is a good idea!

Iris2024 · 29/05/2025 23:15

@EmPeEf this gives me hope as I’m 41. We conceived 1st cycle with DD who is 6, I expected it would be harder due to age but not this hard 🤣

@Disneybride im sorry to hear your going through it at the minute. I know only too well the pressure when we have such a short window. Myself & partner find it hard as we have our daughter so finding time to DTD is hard at times. Like tonight for instance. Daughter was awake until late and then my partner fell asleep as he’s up at 5am in the morning. Day after ovulation or I ovulated this morning 🥹 I can’t imagine how horrible it must feel to feel rejected though. Could you have a chat with him and tell him how you feel?

@Nyxxie My partner was the same when I first said about tests, he was like we will be fine, I will say there’s a wait and everything takes so long, I’m only now getting a scan next week and a fertility appointment so I would say get the ball rolling and if you catch in the meantime then great 😌

I told him and this morning and his reaction was not good. Tried to ignore it all day and relax, here we are again.

Oh @Disneybride I’m sorry to hear this, it’s rubbish!
I find it really hard to balance - we had a really stressful year and don’t have sex as much as we used to, but obviously if we want a baby we had to dtd at the right time and enough! I’m really conscious that for men it is like a performance and too much pressure can cause performance issues.. I’ve tried both telling him when the fertile window is and trying to give him responsibility, and trying to not make a big deal out of it and initiate more. BUT then you get stuck when they’re not in the mood/tired/stressed and have to point out we need to do it. We had a chat about it and just aired that we weren’t really up for it had to this week, but it felt a bit awkward.
I’m sorry he’s reacted badly, that feels really unfair on you 😔 I know a lot of people do at home insemination so they can make sure they hit fertile window without so much pressure

That’s definitely visible!

I think its an evap not getting my hopes up
it was stark negative yday, i think its the fact that the edges have colour making it seem like a line when its not

Yes I can definitely see without having to squint which is a good sign

FigPig · 30/05/2025 07:57

@BerrieSweet just popping back to say I definitely definitely see that! You’ve been so kind and thoughtful to everyone, including me, and I am delighted for you. Fingers crossed but that’s a great line xxx
