You are still in with a chance! Do you defo know you have ovulated? Have you tested with opks? Dtd tonight anyway if you can x

I had a static smiley Monday! So I assume it’s happened now. Sooo with you on the stress of having the big one down. He has to be solid asleep for me or I can’t get in the mood, thinking he’ll wake up any second 🤣

peanutForever · 22/05/2025 12:57

@jelliebean9honestly it just depends on how quick you ovulated after your static smiley and really on your DH sperm! hopefully you dont ovulate on the longer side of your peak.. but still i wouldnt count yourself out completely as its still within the 5 days

i do feel like its easier to think youre out and then if youre not its a nice surprise/less stress sometimes its the cycles we arent expecting it the most!

FlyHighSky72 · 22/05/2025 18:18

ffs! So after my weirdly long cycle I’ve now had a beautiful 3 day period (like I was really pleased with it, nice and red, no pain - textbook style) but it seems to have stopped now - I’ve had 5 day periods and 28-29 day cycles for ages! What the heck is happening now I’ve started ttc!?!

Ec2808 · 22/05/2025 18:41

@FlyHighSky72omg i used to have these with 28 day cycles since my chemical i have super long cycles and super long periods ! AF still here very light but still here 😩😩😩

Iris2024 · 22/05/2025 18:44

@Muddysocks1 thank you hunni, I called today and the woman said still go and speak to them as it’s first step, if they need to redo them they can then.

@jelliebean9 sperm can survive up to 5 days so like the other ladies said it depends when you actually ovulated. Fingers crossed for you! It’s a minefield isn’t it 🤦🏼‍♀️😩

ASDadhdmummy · 22/05/2025 19:00

Hello! I am a complete newbie on here!
I’m 34 years old (born 1990) and I had my implant out this week as TTC#3
Previously when I had my implant removed when I was 22 years old I had convinced my 2nd baby within 4.5 weeks after having it removed.I am (obviously) older this time around and was interested to know if anyone is of a similar age and how long it took to conceive/periods to return? And also how the pregnancy was?
My other two children are 9 and 12 yrs old.
Any advise or comments would be appreciated!!

Ec2808 · 22/05/2025 19:19

@ASDadhdmummyhi! And welcome! I was in a similar situation when i was 31 i went off the pill did not conceive first month but second month my daughter who is now 1! Now we are ttc again I am 32 and conceived first cycle… sadly that ended in chemical…now on cycle 4 fingers crossed but it is taking longer than I thought. Also I have 2 children my son who is 8 was conceived while on the pill… so i have a feeling i’m really fertile just not anymore 😔 sending baby dust ✨

2Sugars2 · 22/05/2025 20:40

@FlyHighSky72 are you taking any supplements? Sometimes I think they can impact the cycle in weird ways.

FlyHighSky72 · 22/05/2025 20:47

@2Sugars2ive been taking coQ10 and Proceive max since January - haven’t added anything in (only thing I’ve changed is eating more vitamin c and drinking beer juice)

@Ec2808Hello and thank you for the welcome 🙂I have been following this thread and found a lot of advice and comfort from some of the posts on here. I am so sorry you had a chemical 🥺 Sending you a hug!!! I had previously stopped my previous contraception (depo injection) back in May 2021 and had a chemical in July 2021 which was heart breaking and I was told it possibly could have been down to the depo injection not completely leaving my body. I was on the depo for 3 years so I’m still not completely sure how true this was contributing to the CP…Anyway I decided after still not conceiving and health reasons at the time that I would go onto the implant in Oct 2022. I have been on the implant from then til this week. I took an ovulation test on yesterday and today and both were positive. I’ve never used them before to track ovulation but we did the deed and began the journey TTC #3 (excuse the TMI)
I know coming off the implant from previous experience can mean almost instant fertility and ovulation etc but I am very anxious of a chemical again and being 34 years old I know fertility can decline but I have a feeling that my own fertility is not amazing but got confused with positive ovulation tests as I was told by the nurse that there is no way I can ovulate this quickly?
I hope you get a BFP soon!!
Sending baby dust ✨

Ec2808 · 22/05/2025 21:51

HennyPenny27 · 22/05/2025 23:39

Hi, I’m new to the thread :)
Hope you’re all well ladies ❤️
Currently TTC #1 at 37. Great to have a sense of community here - it’s a big new space, so much info, would love some support :)

Ec2808 · 23/05/2025 07:06

@HennyPenny27 Welcome! where are you in your cycle? 😊I'm CD6 will be in my fertile window starting Tuesday, normally ovulate around CD14-15 we shall see not obsessing about it as much as last month..taking supplements prenatal follic acid and Omega 3 fingers crossed ❤

Ttcaftertfmr · 23/05/2025 08:01

Hi ladies, just wanted to join :)

Kayleaaa · 23/05/2025 08:11

Hey everyone, moved over from the May thread!
Had my bfp turned into a chemical, finally bleeding so CD1! Feeling more hopeful for this month as a bit of proof my body does work haha, just wish I had the answers to why it didn't stick!

Ec2808 · 23/05/2025 08:42

@Ttcaftertfmr soo sorry for your loss!! fingers crossed for you!
@Kayleaaa soo sorry for your loss!! it's soo difficult but admire your positivity!
fingers crossed you get your sticky bfp 😘

HennyPenny27 · 23/05/2025 08:54

@Ec2808Thanks! I’m CD 14, but 2 days post ovulation. DH and I WFH, so have been able to DTD daily for 7 days - we’re making a joke of it - “death by shnu-shnu” if you get the futurama reference 😂

Great you’ve found a way not to obsess over it, I’m finding that there’s so much new info, I feel over excited to be learning so much about my body. How are you managing your refocus your attention?

It’s nice that you can enjoy the bank holiday weekend before your fertile window opens again. Fingers and toes crossed for you ❤️
Have you found that the supplements have altered your cycle in any way?

HennyPenny27 · 23/05/2025 08:58

@Ttcaftertfmr@kayleaaaso sorry for your losses and great that you have the courage to begin again 💚

HennyPenny27 · 23/05/2025 08:59

Also what does BFP stand for? 🙂

Kayleaaa · 23/05/2025 09:00

@ec2808 thankyou! Here's hoping this is the last thread for ttc we are in!

Not sure what to take this month as pregnacare seemed to upset my stomach so stopped taking it half way through last month. Think folic acid, vitamin d, using preseed and using clearblue opks. Using wellman for dh but if there's a better one let me know!
As soon as I get my static smiley (usually between 16dpo to 19dpo) I'll give the GP a ring to get my progesterone bloods done a week later, she reckons it won't be day 21 but more like day 24 as I have slightly later cycles, so going to use the opks to help me figure out the day!
Jealous of those with short cycles! I average between 30 to 34 so those extra few days feel like forever!

Kayleaaa · 23/05/2025 09:01

HennyPenny27 · 23/05/2025 08:59

Also what does BFP stand for? 🙂

Big fat positive, as in a positive pregnancy test 😊 BFN is for big fat negative! Also thankyou! ❤️

Ec2808 · 23/05/2025 09:02

@HennyPenny27 oooooh soo jealous i feel like i'm still ages away from the tww 😂the last couple of months i obsessed too much because of our chemical in march so i desperately wanted to fall pregnant straight away...so it was more of a chore and took all the fun out of it..
I know i feel lucky this month because i'm off work from Wednesday 28 and only go back to work on June 2nd so should give us enough good chances baby dancing at the right time 😂
my cycles have been messed up since my chemical..the cycle right after was 25 days, the second cycle after was 30 days but my periods are longer and heavier before my chemical i only had 3-4day periods and light to medium flow now it's like full on at least 5 days...been taking the follic acid for 3 months now just started the prenatal and omega 3 this cycle so will see if i notice any differences but i feel a lot happier and calmer about it.

I think what helps the most is that we have a lot going on the next couple of weeks so don't really have time to dwell and think about it too much but honestly i just think positivity and patience is the key even though it seems hard ❤
