Here again for April @Muddysocks1 🙋‍♀️ thanks for starting the new thread!

AlbatrossSociety · 13/03/2025 19:29

Thanks for new thread @Muddysocks1 , I am very happy for those getting BFPs but would also sometimes like to not see that for the rest of the month 🙃. Think I'll be ovulating next some time between 29th March and 1st April, I've had a bit of variation in length over last couple cycles. Which does give the chance of a Christmas due date, but I've kind of come to the conclusion that I'd rather have a baby at Christmas than not have a baby at Christmas 😅.

Floralcat · 13/03/2025 19:31

CD6 cycle 7 and joining the April thread 👋 Crossing fingers for us we get little easter sticky ones 🐣 ive been trying to keep track of what everyone recommending on last thread and am trying beetroot juice and a probiotic this cycle! Xx

@AlbatrossSociety ahhh this is final month to be off on mat leave for xmas period then! i am extra crossing fingers for us all 🤞🤞🤞

Nyxxie · 13/03/2025 19:50

Moving over from March thread. Now on cycle 4 TTC #2. Considered taking a break to avoid a December due date but decided against it.. want to take every chance we can get. Good luck everyone x

Littledot2 · 13/03/2025 19:59

@AlbatrossSociety @Nyxxie also considered pausing to avoid a Christmas baby, but also want a healthy baby no matter when they are born now so we go again ❤️ TTC #2 cycle 4

Muddysocks1 · 13/03/2025 20:08

I’ve also thought about a Christmas baby - but would rather have a Christmas baby than potentially losing an opportunity.
Ive toyed with not tracking and trying to not focus so much this month as I felt so awful at the end of this cycle, but then my cycle is a little bit irregular so don’t want to miss the fertile window in case it comes early!

Quite a few of us ttc no2, how old are your first ones? @Nyxxie @Littledot2. My dd will be 3 in June and I feel like I'm watching the age gap grow month by month

I'm sure you said on the other thread whether you have others @Muddysocks1 @Floralcat but can't remember

Littledot2 · 13/03/2025 20:19

@Muddysocks1 I did this approach last cycle and failed miserably! After tracking was fairly confident about my fertile week and ovulation on cd 15/16 then started getting EWCM on cd 19 so did a spontaneous test and it was peak but obviously dh was away and missed the opportunity 😭 I thought it would make me feel more relaxed and less obsessive but not sure it actually did 🙃

Littledot2 · 13/03/2025 20:27

@AlbatrossSociety my ds is 2yr2m. Was 'planning' for a 2.5/3yr age gap which we'll be passing soon so I feel you watching the age gap increase and go by, feeling like you've missed the window. How long have you been trying?
Trying to come to terms with the fact that age gap is not a guarantee for close sibling bond and focusing on all the extra 1-1 time with #2 when #1 is that bit older and at nursery/school most of the week 💗

Nyxxie · 13/03/2025 20:44

@AlbatrossSociety my DS turned 2 last month. We were hoping for a 2-3 year age gap but I already feel what you’re saying about watching the age gap grow. I try and tell myself the silver lining each month is DS gets a little longer with our undivided attention (however I also don’t want him to get too used to it!!)

Oh no!!!! I might track and do OPKs, but not preg test until missed period. I don’t find doing OPKs stressful or anything, but I think the testing is the bit that does. Will have to hide them 🤣

I luckily came on my period earlier than expected this month so I managed to get away with just one test this month 🙃. I actually think the bbt tracking has been helpful because I saw it drop yesterday so I kind of didn't need to take another test as I knew it was coming.

Last month was my first month of using OPKs and I enjoyed getting a smiley face on a test 😂.

@Littledot2 only been trying since December, but feels like forever ago! I think because I got pregnant with dd straight away, I'd imagined it might be the same this time.

I always thought I'd have two really close together but I have LOVED having the extra time with my daughter and I feel really grateful for that actually. I have 4 close mum friends that I see nearly every week and 3 of them have had babies in the last 6 months so we spend our days surrounded by little babies and dd always asks when hers is coming 😭

@AlbatrossSociety my dd will be 3 in August so seems like we all have v similar ages for 1st! Trying to look on positive side of having extra 1:1 time and will be off work on mat leave ( hopefully) when she starts school.

I said in my first post was going to be trying beetroot juice this cycle but its made me feel incredibly unwell after drinking it yesterday so dont think its for me 🤣

Muddysocks1 · 14/03/2025 12:14

I’m tempted by trying beetroot juice.. but then maybe not 🙈🙈

@Muddysocks1 haha it really didnt taste bad i would have been happy to continue but discovered theres something in it that is also in shellfish which i am allergic to so think thats why made me so unwell!

jelliebean9 · 14/03/2025 17:00

Hello all! I’m ovulating 28th/29th march. Period due around 12/4. So, I’m marking my place for the dreaded two week wait!

jelliebean9 · 14/03/2025 17:01

Also TTC no2. DS is 3.5 years old now 😊 we’re all definitely really similar here!

This is really similar to me, nc says ov on 27th, flo says on 30th, with AF due either 9th April or 11th. Fingers crossed for BFPs this month.

Can I also just say it blows my mind how resilient we all are. It's such a fucking emotional rollercoaster and it's so hard when you know you're not pregnant and then we just pick ourselves up and try again. Women are amazing.

jelliebean9 · 14/03/2025 21:07

Agreed 🔥✨ let’s all cross everything we all get positives this month. I’m gonna need everyone to stop me testing early 😂

Nyxxie · 14/03/2025 22:04

It really is a rollercoaster. You try not to get your hopes up each month but inevitably do. It’s really tough. Wishing so much luck to everyone

BerrieSweet · 15/03/2025 13:29

CD 5 and AF is turning lighter, my predicted ovulation day is 24th mars, feels so long until then and we also got the TWW after that. Here we go again 😂 But feeling hopeful as usual when a new cycle begins! I really hope we all get some nice Christmas gifts 🎁

sjwx · 15/03/2025 16:39

Joining as I think I’m out for March, going to have a break this cycle but hoping to see some good news for you all 🤞🏼✨
