Exactly 2 weeks late now, haven't done a test for a few days as don't see much point really, but being 2 weeks late bit weird isn't it?

Saying that though dh & i have had a couple of nights of romantic behaviour since lol .

OP posts:
pucca · 15/05/2008 10:09

Yet all this doesn't explain why i ov'd on the 4th, and started having this bleed 8 DPO and why i have only bled for 2 days.

PinkTulips · 15/05/2008 11:45

as far as i've heard those oc tests are very inaccurate for testing ov as they actually test for a hormone that's always present in our ssystems but spikes right before ov.

i've gotta say i agree with NJ, it does very much seem to me like you might have had a very low hormone preg and you're body couldn't sustain it (been there multiple times so you have my heartfelt sympathy, there no worse feeling than not knowing what your own body is playing at) chances are they'll send you for a scan to check for any retained products in case you need a d&c, although you probably won't at such an early stage.... having said that, wouldn't you be 7 weeks if you were? so best get checke out, you'd expect more than 2 days worth of blood at this stage i'd imagine.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/05/2008 13:24

I don't know much about the OV sticks, but have heard they are not 100% reliable.

I had a MC in January and I bled for just under a week, very heavily.

You have to have been pregnant for a test to show BFP, and it wasn't just you that saw the BFP's.

Teuch · 15/05/2008 18:50

Hullo again Pucca

The OV sticks - you may well have a higher level of LH in your system, which could explain the dodgy cycle... WOmen with PCOS often get pos OPK's all cycle.

On the other hand OPK's can also pick up HcG since LH and HcG are so similar. This is not an endorsement for OPK's as pg tests, but it is known to happen!!

Let us know how you get on at docs.

pucca · 15/05/2008 20:02

I didn't go to the doctors today, my mum couldn't sit with the kids and i didn't fancy trying to talk with them there (ransacking the place lol).

Funnily enough the bleeding has come back slightly, still very odd though.

pucca · 15/05/2008 20:50

I think i am just one of those people who always seem to get a very faint line, just done a test now and it has a shadow of a line on it. Not sure if the camera picked it up though (profile).

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/05/2008 07:29

No I can't see a line in either of the pics. Not to say it isn't there though.

You really do need to see the doc.

Is it possible that you were pregnant, but MC'ed, but then got pregnant again straight away? (happened to my sister) Did you use any contraception after you got the first lot of BFP's?

pucca · 16/05/2008 09:47

No haven't used anything as i thought i was hence it didn't matter.

I don't know.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/05/2008 10:19

I just don't know what else to say, except to see your doctor. I am stumped!

The slight bleeding again doesn't fit in with what I said before, is it proper red blood?

pucca · 16/05/2008 10:34

Yes pinky red, it was just a spot yesterday when i thought it had come back, its definately gone.

Thanks NJ, you are a love

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/05/2008 10:40

Just wish I could either physically take you to the doctors to get it sorted, or give you all the answers myself.

Are you going to go to the doctors?

Teuch · 16/05/2008 11:21

Morning! Was that hpt or ov tests you posted? I can't se the lines either, but I know how tricky it is to capture it on camera!

stuarts · 16/05/2008 16:28

Please, please, please just go to the doctors

Good luck

mags98 · 16/05/2008 18:49

look I have just joined this thread - you need to get this sorted, see your GP. They will NOT think this is stupid.

The possibilities are

  1. You were PG, had a MC and still have a faint positive test (mine was positive for over a month after my first MC)
  1. As above but you have not passed everything completely and so are still bleeding.
  1. You could still be PG (HCG at a high enough level causes a positive OPK, so that could be an explanation)
  1. This is the one that is the most important and needs ruling out. You could still be PG but it is not normal, for example an ectopic pregnancy. Funny, erratic, light bleeding with a positive PT makes alarm bells sound very loudly.

In any case, you need checking out. Blood tests and probably a scan. Just go and see your doctor, get checked out and take the sample, please! Or at the very least, do another one yourself.

Lulumama · 16/05/2008 18:51

ah, pucca, i knew it was you you need a doctor to check you out , a scan and serial blood tests to be sure . you had BFP but then some negatives, and then spotting, it is all a bit odd really. esp. if you think you got another BFP

pucca · 16/05/2008 20:11

They were HPT, none left know though. Have got a couple of OPKs left out of the test bundle though.

All this messing around is doing my head in now, with my dd & ds, it was simple, missed a period, did a test BFP, no fart arsing around.

I know i sound a idiot not going to the doctor, but i know i will waffle all this out and he will just sit looking at me like i am a loony.

This period i have had is a weird one though, 2 days of bleeding weird pinky coloured blood, and now nilch

Lulumama · 16/05/2008 20:11

so, what do you intend to do? just wait it out? doctors are there to help you with medical issues !

pucca · 16/05/2008 20:19

There is nothing i can do till Monday now, and then i guess i am going to have to go aren't i.

Jenski · 16/05/2008 20:22

If you are worried about the Dr not listening, maybe write it down so he/she is clear about what you are saying?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/05/2008 07:58

Pucca, I think the situation has changed now though.

If you look at all of the threads on here about people going to the doctors because they are a week off their period starting, but they just 'feel pregnant', or other stupid (IMO!!) reason's, the GP's must be inundated with obsessed TTC'ers, and I should imagine fed up of hearing the same thing over and over again. But if you go and tell him exactly what has gone on, make it clear that you are not TTC'ing, so that cancels out any non existant symptoms, he should take you seriously.

You do need to get this sorted, how much longer can it carry on?

magnolia74 · 17/05/2008 08:14

Oh Pucca! Go to the bloody doctor!!!!

I mean it, on Monday ring up, make the appointment and go. Please

PinkTulips · 17/05/2008 20:11

pucca, trust me on this, you can't possibly get weirder looks than i did at the gp's and hospital when i went in convinced i was preg and got neg tests the amount of condecending, patronising and downright rude comments i got were unbelievable. and guess what, i was right they were wrong [smug]

at least you have actual medical symptoms and you've got pics of the positive tests you've done to show them.

THEY WILL TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY!

you need to get checked out in case it's the best or worst case scenario

if it helps, write down a list of all the points that make you think somethings going on and read it out to them, i'm a waffler too and it helps me remember what i'm supposed to be saying instead of rambling off on tangents and fogeting the more important points til i'm halfway home.

good luck

pucca · 17/05/2008 20:22

Thanks everyone, i promise i WILL go to the doctors on Monday.

PT...What happened with you again? did you have any bleeding or anything?

The more i think about the AF i had the more i think it is just so weird for me to only bleed 2 days, i have never had this since started my periods at 12 yo.

I have no more hpts left now anyway, and i am not going to buy anymore, spent too much on them this month already

calvemjoe · 17/05/2008 20:47

Hey Pucca, I've followed this thread from the begining. Just wanted to say, ny friend thought that she was pg but got a -ve test and the dr booked her in straight away for a blood test. Your dr needs to sort himself out, you've been messed around enough. Good Luck.

Cadmum · 17/05/2008 20:55

I don't know why I erased my original post earlier today because I can see the line. I just thought that it was an ovulation predictor rather than a pg test.

I think that you are pg. (as if a random MNers vote counts for anything).
