Hi all ☺️ I am now starting Cycle 6 TTC baby number one. I know some of us on January thread said it would be good to set up a Feb thread so thought i’d start it.

I should be ovulating around 17-18th so will be testing on 1st Feb!

Hi I’d love to join, currently CD 21 (my cycles are 25 days) bit of a back story, we had a missed miscarriage back in June 2023, babies heart stopped at 12 weeks, had no luck since, I had a scan on Monday to check my uterus/ ovaries etc as I am under the miscarriage clinic at the hospital, I had specific bloods taken etc, however Monday I was on cycle day 17 and she said it looked like I was about to ovulate (late for me as I usually ovulate cycle day 11) she didn’t seem concerned and said everything looked good and healthy, obviously I am concerned why I hadn’t ovulated already and thinking how can I ovulate so late when my cycles are only 25 days, I’ve been googling (shouldn’t have) it’s saying late ovulation could mean poor egg quality so now got myself in a bit of a flap, I havnt been tracking ovulation as this just stresses me out and I’m trying to stay as chill as possible, I won’t be early testing either as I have lost hope where its been so long trying since the missed miscarriage (over a year and a half) sorry I’m rambling now xx

@Littledot2 @carolinep3 I’m glad I’m not the only one that’s been confused by this 😂 I can confirm I have googled it in the past and not found many helpful answers… the only advice I saw was don’t DTD on the run up to ovulation so you can tell when you get EWCM. But that’s the most fertile days so that didn’t make sense to me 🤷🏼‍♀️😅

Sorry if this is too graphic, but you asked 🙈😂

the errr “leftovers” let’s call them are much more liquidy. Whereas EWCM is more slimy and stretchy. If it’s like water it’s not EWCM. I heard on a podcast that if you basically rub it between thumb and finger semen will basically disappear whereas EWCM won’t and will be more like a stretchy slippery consistency

I think you can get very watery CM but that’s generally in the run up to fertile window and comes before EWCM

Digby86 · 24/01/2025 11:52

Anyone else just started tww?im on cd18 and think I ovulated weds/thurs (based on CM). Feel a bit late in cycle as I usually have 26/27 day cycle but 🤷‍♀️

don’t think we hit it this month as DH and DS have been poorly so think we probs only DTD right at the start of fertile window.

Expecting AF around 3 feb

EEB1989 · 24/01/2025 12:39

Anyone had a smiliar experience with LH rising and then dipping?

Ive been testing a few months but it usually is low and then straight to peak - no progression just all or nothing.

Currently CD16, had EWCM since CD13. My LH on CD13 was 0.31 and has been around that until today. It’s 0.3.

I test twice a day so I can’t have missed it. I usually peak anywhere from 16-19. But I’m trying to listen to my body this month rather than the LH but can’t help but test 🙈.

Was this the fertility awareness method podcast because I came here to say the exact same thing. That essentially you have to pick it up and touch it to tell the difference.

Welcome @Mummy1502 , all rambling welcome and think we can probably all relate to getting in a flap about things at various points, especially after mmc. Maybe something just delayed ovulation this cycle?

Thank you for replying, This is todays test, it’s the darkest line that ive had my whole cycle. Who knows it’s all very confusing 🙈x

how long are your cycles @becksxx ? Could there be a possibility you are pregnant if its gone this dark when period imminent?
but have read on dr google some people get an LH rise before period as well? Its literally like trying to learn biology for an exam all this TCC stuff isnt it !!

Haha I did ask! That’s really useful, thank you. I feel like nothing is too graphic for this thread any more 😂 i’ll have to check next month and see if I can tell the difference 😅

@AlbatrossSociety possibly, the only changes I’ve made is taking folic acid as my folate levels were really low 3.9 on blood test (dropped from 11.9 in 6 months) and my diet (I’ve been doing keto but only since last Monday) x

I’m 4DPO today so similar to you, I think AF should arrive around 1st Feb. You never know, the swimmers can hang on for 5 days I think so you’re still in with a chance!

I’m in the same boat, my ovulation was also late ( if I even have ovulated) had a scan Monday when I was cycle day 17 and they told me it looked like I was about to ovulate, my cycles are only 25 days long x

we actually have a holiday booked for October, so I’m trying to be positive and think that if this isn’t our month then the upside is we should still get to have a lovely trip as a family of 3 rather than cancelling ❤️

So strange. Do you know if you normally ovulate late?

im v confused but to be honest think I probably always get my dates wrong. The month we conceived our son I still look at the dates me dtd and am confused as to how it’s possible 😂

I normally ovulate day 11 and now I’m questioning if the nurses got it wrong but I suppose she’s the professional, we shall see xx

That’s a good way to look at it ☺️ we’re struggling to book holidays this year just in case I’m pregnant or nearing giving birth but I think we’re just going to go ahead and book stuff and stop worrying about it!

@Mummy1502 We’ve got a holiday booked, if I’m pregnant then I’ll just have to buy some maternity swimsuits.

England is so miserable, there’s no way I’m putting off a holiday lol.

Haha yes it really is!! I done a clear blue test today and it was negative so I’m guessing AF is on the way which has caused the LH rise x

We booked a holiday for end of June - last month I was worried if I fell pregnant I wouldn't fancy it at 6 months but now am very glad we did book it! You can't put life on hold can you. Likewise I'm learning to drive and was worrying id have to pause as not sure I'll fancy it pregnant but now glad I've started as I've already done 4 lessons and will do another 4 this month!

squishousdelicious · 24/01/2025 17:49

Wish we could book a holiday! We need to move house this year, so can't really afford both!

@Sunshine924 My mum learned to drive while she was pregnant with me - she said she thinks the only reason the driving instructor passed her was because she was so pregnant and felt sorry for her 😆
