I am now 37 and have one beautiful 10yrs old boy, my partner has 2 boys 9 & 13yrs.

I bought the Hertility kit online, not yet opened it… I was going to give this cycle my last attempt before investigating 🙃

We got pregnant a year ago but due to personal circumstances we both decided to not go ahead, this I carry so much guilt over 🪃

Now we are both ready and settled in our careers and home but now it has taken nearly 6/7cycles.

today I got my 1st + ovulation test, so beginning our January TWW.

what is everyone else’s story 🌟

Back when I was referred for a hycosy I was also given Provera to take beforehand to delay/stop ovulation that cycle (or was it to bring on a period?). I decided not to do it that cycle as we were off on a weekend break and that was the cycle I conceived DD1! Were you not given Provera or something similar? Not sure you can do hycosy if there is a chance you could be pregnant….
But as for your question, not a chance a pregnancy test would show up on 7DPO.

SCK2024 · 29/05/2025 17:29

@curliegirlie
I am going to re arrange.

I had my ultrasound yesterday both ovaries appeared normal 7 follicles could be seen either side.

1 dominant follicle to the right side measuring at 19mm.

The lady doing the examination confirmed ovulation would be very soon within a day or so.

my peak OPK was that morning, darkest I’ve ever seen!

we BD when I got home.

So 100% rearranging the appt in a wishing hope that this is our cycle for a bfp ❤️🫶🏼

Sounds so positive @SCK2024!

AF came yesterday for me but it is good news because my luteal phase was 11 days, much better than the 4/5 days of the last couple of cycles. Hoping ovulation is before CD33+ this cycle as well. My toddler is feeding less so fingers crossed my body is kicking into gear.

I start a new full-time secondment in October and I was really hoping to do my hyperemesis bit before I started but what will be will be

My cycles are normal but short 22/26.
How long are yours?

We have a few concerts/festivals booked this year and Vegas next year 🤦🏻‍♀️🫠

@SCK2024 ooh that ultrasound sounds promising. My best mate always talks about how she saw her son as a follicle on an ultrasound! Fingers crossed for the next couple of days x

Haha Noway!
& if it doesn’t happen then least I’ll have more chance after my hycosy for next cycle.
The lady said your chances increase after a hycosy as it flushes the tubes 🤞🏼
How are you?

@SCK2024 I’m starting a fully funded PhD in health/ healthcare inequalities. My cycles before were 28 days ish, now they’re 40-50 days but hopefully they’ll get shorter as my hormones even out and my LO breastfeeds less

I have everything crossed for you!

curliegirlie · 30/05/2025 10:22

@SCK2024I’m really good thank you. I’ve been away at Disneyland Paris this week, came back last night and got really good lines on my tests yesterday and this morning, so starting to believe this may actually be happening!

Mummysparrow · 02/06/2025 15:24

How's everyone doing? I have started the process for further investigations on the NHS but honestly I am not expecting much. I am thinking of seeing someone who will look at the whole picture and find the root cause, I am a bit confused who would be beat for this, I think a naturopath perhaps?
Cd16 today and I have peaked so ovulating tomorrow. Thankfully in Cyprus for the 2ww as of Sunday which will make the wait easier

Perfect timing for the TWW!!!
I don’t know what naturopath is?
Have you been trying this week then? Get jiggly with it tomorrow! 🫶🏼🤞🏼

@SCK2024 yeah of course. DTD 3 times in my fertile window. Currently 1dpo and my body has decided to do the same as last cycle and give lovely symptoms from the beginning. Already started heaving cleaning my teeth and was having in the car to drop my DD off at childminders. Its odd because I don't have PMS symptoms normally and I don't get pregnancy symptoms this early usually either 😑

I am I think 6 Dpo, no symptoms apart from needing to wee more frequently in the night.
I rearranged my hycosy for July 10th straight after (if wasn’t preg this cycle) my period.
as this month hoping we conceived as my ultrasound said large egg was about to be released so we got at it after my appt and few days before… didn’t want to run the risk of flushing a possible baby 🌸🫶🏼

4 dpo here

ByJollyZebra · 07/06/2025 22:04

Think I'm 7dpo ish, haven't been testing for ovulation the last few months. I had strong cramps and an achy back last night which was unusual for me.
Other half is at the hospital for his test next week, I'm dreading it giving us an answer we don't want but trying to stay positive x

SCK2024 · 08/06/2025 08:49

How's everyone doing? About 11dpo today and negative (and the other days before that!) I wish I wasn't such an early tester!

Has anyones partner had their sperm analysis through the nhs? Wondering how long it takes to get the results through. I'm nervous that the tests are going to confirm what I think we know deep down in our gut x

curliegirlie · 11/06/2025 22:29

We did about a decade ago. Results were pretty quick from what I recall. DH’s results were truly awful in terms of sperm count, but we conceived naturally a few months later, and we went on to have DD2 as well. And now I’m 6+4 with DC3, just 3 months on from my MC. So I think even horrendous SA results aren’t the end of the world and can be changed fairly quickly, even if the overall journey is still a long one.

ByJollyZebra · 12/06/2025 06:30

Thank you ♥️

I hope you're doing well and feeling okay x

SCK2024 · 12/06/2025 07:56

going to test today, didn’t yday.

my OH sent off his sperm via nhs last week, results not back yet 🤞🏼

SCK2024 · 12/06/2025 12:52

BFN this morning, just waiting for AF 😓
I have my hycosy 10July.
Hopefully the flushing of the tubes will have a positive effect on that cycle. Booked it soon as AF has finished that cycle so 🤞🏼

@ByJollyZebra Oh no! Did you make your appt or able to rearrange?
x
