Hi Ladies, long time lurker here (from the December thread), and thought I’d make my first post as this thread has really helped me.
You all have been so open and honest, I felt compelled to give a little back by sharing my story too.
My DH (42yrs) and I (37yrs) have been TTC our first baby since July 2022. We took it easy for the first 18 months or so - we had a lot on (wedding + buying and renovating a house), but have really knuckled Down for the last 6 months.
I’m using the clear blue ovulation test kit to detect my LH surge, and my cycles have been 29 days pretty consistently - ovulating on around CD16
The tricky thing is; my husband suffers from ED, so it has been difficult for us with timings. We’ve communicated really well through it, as he (and I) come to terms with it. After much research, we are now trying self insemination.
Last cycle, we DTD (so to speak) on the day of the LH surge (CD15), the day after (CD16) and the next day (CD17/18).
I was positive that this would be our month, but got a BFN on CD28 and AF arrived bang on time. Sigh.
I’m now on CD4, and I’m really trying to stay positive.
We’ll try again, of course, but wondering what more I can do to help our chances. @LuxyLocket that’s very interesting about the aspirin. I’m going to look into if this would be good for me too.
Best of luck to everyone this year. Lots of baby dust to us all xx
