Tentative congratulations @PamelaDoov and @LuxyLocket , those are great looking lines! All the best to you both 💖

Hi ladies hope everyone is having a nice weekend, just catching up.

@KittyFantastica George knows how loved he is. I can only imagine the range of emotions you’re feeling right now 💕✨sending you all the luck for your journey continuing.
@Lcc5261 so sorry to hear AF came, I hope you’re ok 💕onto a new cycle is the optimistic mantra to use.
@lynzmb totally hear you lovely, everything you’ve said is valid, the pressure to hit ovulation, the disheartened feeling if you think you’ve missed it. No one talks about the pressure during the fertile window, I remember we missed ovulation one cycle during to me being ill and DH having Ofstead (he is a teacher) and we had an argument and it was just awful and not how it should be. @dev86 I agree it definitely turns us into those people at times so please don’t feel alone or beat yourself up, it’s only natural and ttc is not for the faint hearted. We’re all in the same boat here. Just so nice to have eachother to offload.
@Emiily887 how are you getting on lovely? 💕💕

Thank you ☺️ xx

KittyFantastica · 12/01/2025 12:12

Thank you @dev86 you're very kind ❤️ We live by sea and put one of our seashells and some sea glass in with George.

Congratulations @PamelaDoov and @LuxyLocket those are both unmistakable!

lynzmb · 12/01/2025 12:14

Thanks for sharing about your bipolar @dev86 sounds like you're in a good place and you're an amazing mum. I have Crohn's disease so I understand to some extent not feeling like you can handle it, and the regret of not trying sooner.

This is such a nice space to vent - really appreciate you all and the support 💖

PamelaDoov · 12/01/2025 12:28

Thanks guys 🙂 I’m gonna do a FRER tomorrow morning

Sunshine924 · 12/01/2025 13:43

Lovely to see the positives in this thread - so much hope 💝

Emiily887 · 12/01/2025 14:29

@LuxyLocket oh my goodness yay!!! This looks super promising 🥹🩷 everything crossed for you my lovely.
@PamelaDoov how amazing!!! Keeping everything crossed for you too - that looks like a great line🫶🏼
I am around CD15, due to ovulate sometime between tomorrow and Wednesday although I do have cramps today. I haven’t bothered tracking ovulation again this cycle, I think after our third chemical in November I’m just letting things be and trying to reduce my stress, as with DS after 14 months we did conceive a successful pregnancy after I stopped being so strict and obsessive over tracking - so I am trying that approach again. If nothing this cycle, I’ll start tracking again next month.
It was probably total coincidence with DS but having got to a year again this time round I thought it was worth a shot!🤞🏼🤞🏼

@dev86 thank you for sharing your story with us - you sound like an incredible mum and a very strong and inspiring person🩷
This journey is yours, and I think these threads do help. I have found so much solace and comfort from complete strangers, but despite that factor I feel that I know a lot of ladies inside and out and for that I am forever grateful.
We are all here to support you and I really hope you get your positive soon🤞🏼🩷

Hey everyone, I’ve been away for a little while as I just needed a little break from it all. But I’ve caught up on everyone’s progress now, and a massive CONGRATULATIONS to everyone with a tentative BFP. I’m so happy for you all ❤️

And thank you to everyone who has also shared such moving and personal stories.
This is my first ever thread (from December), and I feel as though I have honestly landed on my feet with how amazing and open each and every one of you are. Thank you ☺️

So, here’s an update on where I am this month:

I’ve just turned 37 and DH is 42. This will be our first child. We’ve been seriously trying for around 6 months now.

I started pregnacare conception w/ Q-10 on CD3
We had planned to DTD (we’re actually self-inseminating) one day before the LH surge (I use the clear blue digital OPK), and up until the day after ovulation.

I usually get my LH surge on CD15 (my cycles are usually 29 days), but surprisingly, I got it yesterday (CD13).
We were both so shocked, but scrambled and DTD the next hour as the plan was really to try to make sure there was sperm waiting by the time I ovulated (as I wasn’t sure if I just ovulated REALLY quickly after the surge).
We DTD again today, just to be sure (CD14), so the TTW begins 😅

Has anyone else felt like they ovulated early once they started taking pregnacare or Q-10? I feel like my ovaries have shifted into 6th gear 😂
I’m going to go and get some baby aspirin too (just haven’t had a chance yet)

Also, we’ve booked fertility tests for next month. Fingers crossed we won’t need them in the end, but if not, they are booked in at least.

Baby dust to everyone here. I’m hopeful for us all ✨ xx

LuxyLocket · 13/01/2025 08:25

Hi @HopeB lovely to have you join and thank you for sharing your story. I feel the same, this is the loveliest most supportive thread we’ve been so lucky to all connect, thank you to @Emiily887 for setting it up. 💕💕💕

I wish you so much luck on your journey and if you want to chat about your fertility MOT I’m more than happy to as me and dh had one last month. Completely understand your reasons for doing so and it made me feel so much better.
It could be that ovulation occurs a tad earlier with taking the supplements and co-q10. I did notice that mine was perhaps more obvious when I was ovulating since taking them, like I had more obvious signs. That’s great you’re taking the co-q10 though as my fertility dr said it is fantastic for egg quality.
Thank you, i’m cautiously pleased about my bfps on the early detection strips so far but we’ve been here before with mc and cp so until I see it on a digital I’m not getting too ahead of myself and taking it a day at a time.

Hi,
Im in my 30s, there’s another thread for over 35s, it’s:
https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/conception/5231762-ttc-1-over-35?utm_campaign=thread&utm_medium=share

if you want to join in on there too. I’m on cycle 2 now, just patiently waiting for my LH to rise.

TTC #1 over 35 | Mumsnet

As the title suggests, if you’re over 35 and TTC your first, I’d love to hear from you! Would be nice to hear from a few of us in the same boat 🙂

HopeB · 13/01/2025 16:27

Thank you so much @LuxyLocket , and I’d love to chat about the fertility MOT. We’ve booked with Agora Clinic. I’ve heard really good things.
Is there anything you did in the lead up to your appointment? Did you go for the extras? They didn’t offer them over the phone, but I read you can add on additional tests for LH and so on.

I really hope the co-q10 has done the trick. And I managed to get my hands on some baby aspirin today - finally! I got the 75mg. Is that what you were advised to take?

My friend also recommended Zita West vitamins, so am looking into those too ☺️

I completely understand. Taking it day by day seems wise ☺️ but please do keep us updated ❤️ you and everyone else with a BFP are the reason I have hope ✨

Hi @EEB1989, thank you for this, I’ll check it out.
Hopefully you’ll get your LH Surge soon 🤞 ✨ xx

So I'm a bit nervous. Taken a test this morning and thought it was negative but then within the time frame saw what I thought was a shadow of a line. I can't tell if it's an evap. Took a pic and can't really see it on the photo but some horrible part of me thinks maybe it's grey but it's so hard to tell with clearblue. Can't even get hold of frers here in shops and by the time an amazon one gets here AF will be due and a regular test will work just as well. Help. Do I wait or retest? 2 days til AF is due and I can't tell what is a period symptom or not. I don't want to get my hopes up.

LuxyLocket · 13/01/2025 19:37

@HopeB we are with Agora too!!! Yes lovely experience there. We also heard good things and weren’t dissapointed. Yes I opted for the additional bloods for LH etc. those can only be done certain days of the cycle 1-5 I think and coincidently that’s where it fell so asked for it on the day.
the lead up to the appt I didn’t do anything specific just tried to stay relaxed and carry on taking what I usually do. For dh and the semen analysis there was a thing about timings/abstaining but if your dh if having that that will all be explained. We did sit down together to do all the forms which takes a while as they are very in depth!
im really hoping it gives you the re assurance and optimism, I think the peace of mind that these fertility mots can give it very re assuring. I’m on the baby aspirin too I’ve heard good things!!
thank you I will do I appreciate you being invested in me and that’s exactly how I feel about others positives giving hope too when we’ve all had our tricky journeys! My Lines are developing and I’ve got a faint positive on clear blue 6 day early line test which I do trust cb, so going to ring the Agora tomorrow as they said they would get me in for hcg blood tests and a progesterone level check 🤞

Totally know how you’re feeling right now, 💕💕💕been there, I think either way you have to do what feels right for you, there have been times I’ve waited for AF and times I’ve kept on testing. Keeping a balance between not getting too hopeful sounds good and sounds like that’s already what you’re doing. Was it a clear blue line test? Also what is the sensitivity of the test as if it’s not an early 10miu one the hcg levels may not be quite high enough yet

Oh gosh it's hard isn't it. I'm not sure of the miu (been 6 years since I've had to do this! It's crazy how quick you forget). It was the Clearblue 6 days early line test not the digital ones. They're blue dye tests but I don't know any good brand pink that aren't frer. We dtd on 1st Jan so still would be early days I am about 12dpo but can't be exact as that's just based on my cycle always being 28days without fail. So it could be a very light positive or I'm just tricking myself

LuxyLocket · 13/01/2025 19:56

Those ones are 10miu, it could be the start of something! It’s really hard to be in the limbo of not knowing isn’t it, I hear you. The blue tests were always a tad light than the pink dye I’ve found. The waiting game is horrible but it’s just giving it time and seeing if lines develop 🤞🤞🤞keeping everything crossed for you and sending all the dust your way

PennysBoat · 13/01/2025 20:41

Oh wow! Are they really?? I thought at 6 days early they would be much higher than that.

LuxyLocket · 13/01/2025 21:03

10miu is more sensitive than 25miu, so yeah they pick up as low as 10miu of hcg so that’s why early detection. I get confused as well with the cb as so many different ones but if those are the same ones I have it’s 10miu on the instructions x

Summerrose24 · 14/01/2025 17:37

Hi everyone, great to see those positive lines and wishing you all success over the coming months. We bought the clear blue ovulation tests for the first time this month (the pink ones), and I have never tracked properly before (I typically go by CM and ovulation pain but never 100% certain). I've had 2 successful pregnancies and 2 miscarriages. I'm on CD13 and no smiley face yet, is this normal? When would you typically get your LH surge? Thanks so much for sharing.

Emiily887 · 14/01/2025 19:19

Evening ladies! How is everyone doing?🩷
I have got a positive OPK this evening so expect to ovulate tomorrow - I haven’t been doing any OPKs but I got egg white discharge (sorry tmi) so thought I’d just do one and turns out my suspicions were right haha! So I’ll be onto the tww in the next day or two xxx

Hope everyone is doing well! I had my embryo transfer today! The embryo has thawed well so that's good news. Don't remember the transfer being quite so unpleasant last time but main thing is it's gone well. I've had some slight spotting and can definitely feel some fluttery/twingey feelings, but it's ridiculously early to be symptom spotting so trying not to read into it too much. Going to be a long two weeks! 😬

good luck to everyone else too waiting for lines to get darker or in the tww

HopeB · 14/01/2025 23:03

Oh @LuxyLocket , I’m so pleased your lines are progressing. Such a relief! How did the call with Agora go?
How are you feeling? 😊
I’m going to look into the additional tests too. I really don’t want to need them, but you’re right, it’ll be reassurance - if it’s needed 😅

@PennysBoat , I’m really hoping you get some clarity soon. The not knowing is just the worse 😩

Congratulations @MillenialAvocado on the successful embryo transfer! I have everything crossed for you ✨ I’m in the TTW too CD16 today 😬, 🤞🤞🤞

Hey @Summerrose24, I usually have a 29 day cycle and get my LH surge on CD15. This month was different as I got my LH surge on CD13, so I’m expecting a 27 day cycle this time (fingers crossed I get a BFP, but it’s all data ☺️).
Just keep testing, it will come 🤞

@Emiily887 i’m glad you got you positive opk. It’s a relief and I always see it as one more step towards getting where we want to be 😊 xx

Marvelftw · 14/01/2025 23:19

Good luck with the transfer @MillenialAvocado ! Hope it all turns out successful!
