TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

I had my anatomy scan yesterday and all is looking perfect!

I’m 9dpo today but too scared to test. I’m taking LH tests instead and if I get a darker one then I might brave a pregnancy test. I had a temp drop this morning. I’m nervous because AF came at 9dpo last month. I put it down to being ill. If it comes today though that’s not good as it means my luteal phase is officially too short. I’m hoping the dip is due to implantation and that my temp will rise tomorrow. 🤞🏼

@EmCha just be careful doing LH tests cause they can also get darker when AF is due. You're probably better off waiting for AF to show or wait until 12dpo when it'll be more certain x

Oh do they? 🫣 Maybe not the best idea then, I’m just really scared to take a pregnancy test as I can’t take more dissapointment.

AF hasn’t shown today but I feel like she’s close…. praying that tomorrow I’ll have a rise in temp. If it stays down then she’s defo on her way!

@EmCha yeah, I can't remember exactly why but they can definitely get darker in either situation. How's your temperature today?x

Ahh okay.

It’s back up but I don’t think I can reliably trust it. I woke up at 5am to go to the loo and then couldn’t really get back to sleep - too busy worrying about testing my temp at 7am is why! I’ll see what today brings and test temp again tomorrow if AF doesn’t show.

Hi! Today’s update! AF didn’t show yesterday - honestly so surprised as I was convinced all day that it would. Today’s temp is back up at 11DPO and it’s a reliable one as I managed to sleep… So I’m still in with a chance. My gut says I’m not pregnant but I’m just trying to protect my heart. AF is officially due tomorrow so tomorrow’s temp is the important one. I’ve still not taken a pregnancy test. I had mild cramps yesterday but that can also be a pregnancy symptom so I honestly have no idea.

Just had some pink spotting so think AF is on her way.

@EmCha how are things today? Did the spotting progress to AF?

Hi, I’m new here. Me and my husband started trying for baby 2 in Feb and had a miscarriage in Sept. We started trying again and got this result this morning. Can anyone tell me if they think it’s an Evap or positive please?🥺 I checked it 20/25 minutes after as my LB needed me x

I think I can see a line there! Test again in the morning or see if you can get hold of a digital. 😊 So sorry to hear about your miscarriage.❤️

@JLC18 hello! I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Those Clear Blue tests are known for evaps so I would be cautious. Pink dye tests are usually more reliable. And as you checked it outside the window you technically have to disregard it. Do you know what DPO you are?

It was still above baseline but lower than yesterday. AF not here yet but I’m sure she won’t be long!

AF didn’t come so I took that as hope as I now have a missed period. However test is negative and I’ve had a temp drop. This all feels really cruel, I’m so fed up. Cycle 9 here we go.

@EmCha aww, I'm sorry. It really is a cruel journey. But you've already started some investigations with your GP haven't you? Keep the faith in the meantime ✨️

Just realised the name of this thread. Probably time for a new one for 2026. Absolutely heartbroken that this year wasn’t for me. I knew TTC could take some time but I didn’t think I’d still be waiting for that positive test 9 months later. So happy for everyone who got their positives this year. Wishing you all healthy and happy pregnancies. ❤️

Aww I'm sorry @EmCha when did AF show in the end?

Christmas Eve at 13dpo. My period always comes on 12dpo so I thought it might finally be my turn! x

@EmCha aww, that's a shame. It's even harder when our bodies don't do what they normally do.

you’re in a similar position as a close friend of mine, she started trying in March and is still waiting. Hoping 2026 brings baby dust for both of you xxx
