TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

You would be surprised how common this is. A couple of months ago I convinced myself that I absolutely MUST be pregnant, even had the metallic taste you described. And weird fluttery feelings in my uterus area that I never ever get. I was so sure and then my period was even a few days late which it never is. I felt so sure I barely even thought it was worth testing, but then my period started. I was so shocked I even took a pregnancy test after my period started thinking it could be a chemical pregnancy but no line whatsoever. Then I looked online and saw thay many women experience these phantom symptoms. It could well be a physical response to the tension of trying or it could be totally psychological. However, I'm so sorry as it really is an awful feeling when you realise youve been tricked by your body about something you really want.

had a chemical last month and I’m not sure when I’ve ovulated this cycle - also feels like the longest 2ww.

Not yet because they need to do the blood test at the start of my cycle. I’m 6dpo today. Feel so poorly though and had to take paracetamol so hoping that doesn’t ruin my implantation chances. I tried to fight against taking it but I was in too much pain.

The blood test is booked for next week when my period is due. x

@EmCha ah, I see. It's probably better to be pain free and for your body to be more relaxed and less stressed. So I think taking the paracetamol was a good idea.

I’m CD 26 today, typical cycle is 28
days.
I have had no symptoms whatsoever this time around, and nothing different.
Wasnt quite with it mentally this cycle so didn’t stress; given the chemical I wasn’t sure of how things would be either.
lets see what the next couple of days bring.

@Popping13 sometimes a chemical can throw things off a bit. Let's wait and see x

Hi everyone,
My partner and I have been trying to conceive, and I’m feeling a bit unsure this month. I tested at 3 days late and got a negative, but now I’m 7 days late.

Since last week, I’ve had symptoms like:

cramps,

nausea,

and strange aversions to certain foods I normally like.

Has anyone experienced this before?
Should I take another test now, or wait a bit longer?
Any advice or similar stories would really help. Thank you ❤️

Hi @moci24 did you do anything different this month like new supplements? Are you 100% sure on your OV date?

I’d be testing everyday but I’m a serial tester 🙈 Hope you get that positive x

I think I’m out this month. I’m still so poorly so I don’t think any little embryo will have been able to get cosy and implant. 😭 My watch has been beeping at me non stop due to my high heart rate and stress levels but it’s my body trying to fight this off. I was feeling so hopeful this month but this virus is causing chaos. I’m so disappointed, AF due in three days.

@EmCha try not to count yourself out just yet. I've heard of lots of people getting pregnant while ill. Let's see what the next few days brings x

hey, you never know - maybe the illness was so you can take your mind off everything else.

I'm due on today, but so nervous to test as I don’t want to see a negative.

Thanks but AF has just arrived! I’m shocked because I’m only 9DPO but assuming the illness has messed up all my hormones. 😭 I need to change my blood test now but wondering if everything will be out of whack now.

@Popping13 will you test at some point or just keep waiting for AF?

@EmCha aww, I'm sorry. It probably was the illness throwing things off. What day are you meant to do the bloods? Also is it definitely AF?

It’s booked for Tuesday which will be a day too late for accurate results so I need to try and change it to any morning before then. Yes it’s red blood, not pink or brown. 😢

@EmCha ring them as soon as you can and try to rearrange it. Ah, sorry. I was hoping it might have been implantation bleeding.

@SureLook ideally I don’t want AF to come - I am just really nervous about the test and also the future. Just getting really anxious thinking if I’ll be able to manage it all.
my daughter is 5 autistic, and I feel like I’ve forgotten everything from baby days. I don’t even know what’s going on in my head 😒

@Popping13 it's a very anxious time. But everybody tells me that all the baby stuff just comes back to you. I've wondered how I'll manage with two but I also wondered how I'd manage with one and here I am, managing. You'll be more than capable and you'll do a great job.

Had my blood test today! Now I await my results 🤞🏼

@EmCha Yes - I did a test this morning and it was negative but no sign of AF either!
I’ve looked through my app notes again and I’m logged cramping at day 13/14, so I guessing that would have been ovulation?

so idk why the negative at 3 days late?

AF came soon after my last update 🙄.

@EmCha did they say how long the results would take?

@Popping13 aww, I'm sorry to hear that. Did you track ovulation other than feeling cramping? What CD are you today?
