TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

I did and it was negative. I’m 11DPO today. Think I will retest on Wednesday. I’m so confused as had so many symptoms, even had a metallic taste in my mouth randomly yesterday. Actually made me cry when it happened as I got so excited thinking it must mean I finally am pregnant! So today’s test was pretty crushing.

@EmCha aww, I'm sorry. I know that crushing feeling to get a BFN when you really think you are pregnant. Are you still waiting until Wednesday? Remember how faint my lines were on my tests in this pregnancy? I got my test back out of the bin on 12dpo!

Thanks. Yeah that’s true. I’m going to hold off now I think and just wait for AF. If she doesn’t arrive by Friday I’ll test again.

Thanks ladies. I’m so down today. Expecting AF as temp has dropped and I just feel heavy down below - not sure how else to describe it but keep thinking AF has already began. I’m really sad.

I’d never been so sure of something as I had been this month. Everything just made sense. I’m gutted. AF not here yet but I can just feel her getting closer.

AF is here. I think this is the last time I try and be positive about a cycle, just came crashing down and I’ve found it even harder. I think I’ll take a break from the thread. Wish all you ladies luck and congratulations again to everyone who is expecting. 🩷

Hi everyone, I haven’t posted here in a while but after seeing your message @EmCha i just had to leave a message.

As some of you will remember, i was blessed to fall pregnant after 3or4 cycles. But sadly i have since lost my sweet baby girl at 17 weeks. It’s the worst pain i have ever felt.

@EmCha i came on here to say don’t lose hope. Keep going. We don’t know what the plan is for us, but we have to live in hope. I like to think there’s a reason for everything and for you, it could just be that the right egg and sperm haven’t met yet to make your perfect baby. It could be something greater too, but at the moment you don’t know so it’s not something you can control, but what you can control is how you approach each day. Approach it with hope and faith. I wish you all the best and all the other ladies waiting for their miracle.

Hi all, just thought I’d give an update considering what happened to me today. I was in a car crash - lost all control of the vehicle (think it was the steering that locked) and hit the embankment before flipping my car on its side. Managed to get out of my seatbelt but sliced my wrist quite badly on smashed window glass. I’m feeling very battered and bruised but all stitched up and feeling very lucky. I’ve been thinking thank goodness I wasn’t pregnant as I dread to think what could have happened.

On the pregnancy note, I’ve got a positive ovulation test tonight which makes no sense as I thought stress would halt ovulation, not bring it on!! Bizarre and I’m definitely not up for baby dancing at the moment! 😂 May have to give this month a miss. 🙈

Thank you both! I can’t believe how lucky I’ve been to walk away from that crash.

AF has just arrived this morning which was to be expected but I’m still super disappointed because last night I had very light pink discharge and was sure it must be implanting bleeding. I’d also had mild cramps all day, not painful, so thought we’d somehow done it on the month we were least expecting. I went to bed so full of hope and excitement so waking up to bright red blood this morning has been disheartening. Onto cycle 7 now.

Also just found out as well that one of my other pregnant friends got pregnant whilst on the coil! Why do I have to try so hard and it still not work for me? 😕

So pleased you’re OK! Sorry to hear about AF. Hopefully this’ll be your month and you’ll have some lovely pre-Christmas news ❤️

Two close friends of mine are also trying (5 cycles and 9 respectively). No rhyme or reason, it’s just taking its time for them but I’m hopeful they’ll catch soon as I selfishly want us to all be on mat leave together.

@EmCha I'm glad to hear you're doing OK. That was scary for you! I'm sorry that AF has arrived. It's always hard. It's also hard to hear when friends or colleagues get pregnant so easily or accidentally. Usually there's no reason for it, it can just take time sometimes x

Thank you. I’ve spoken with my GP and I’m booked in for blood tests to check my iron and thyroid. Also going to check hormones hopefully, if not then I’ll push for that too.

@EmCha that's a good idea. It's no harm having a baseline to work from. If there's anything that needs addressing then you can start now.
