TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

@EmCha I'm sorry that AF has arrived. At least it's the day before your holiday starts. Try and enjoy your holiday and think of the positives. Now you can drink and eat whatever you want x

This is the first time my ovulation strip has said 'high' since my misscarriage a year ago. When I google the number it says that it is still low but 'high' for me. The lines look as dark as each other though. Any input ladies? ❤️🤞

@TTCFC91 they don't quite look as dark as each other quite yet. Ideally the test line should be darker than the control line. I would test twice a day from now on to try and catch your peak. I'd also start BDing if you haven't already.

JHpr · 09/09/2025 19:23

I hope it is ok if I join… I had my first positive in August but unfortunately had a miscarriage/chemical at just under 5 weeks, we tried again straight away and now I am 11 dpo (I think I may have actually ovulated later than that though from my ovulation tests) I’m having some crazy symptoms this time that I didn’t with the last. I am super bloated and I’m having a lot of nausea which has been all day until around 4pm for the last 4 days… negative test today which is bumming me out, does anyone have any experience with a negative 11 dpo and testing positive later on? I’m due on on Friday/Saturday.

@JHpr hello and welcome. I haven't experienced that myself cause I always wait until 12dpo. You may have only implantated yesterday so there's still a chance. When is AF due?

@TTCFC91 I'd say you're gonna peak overnight! Test twice again tomorrow and see.

JHpr · 09/09/2025 20:46

@SureLookAF is due on the weekend so hopefully there is still time! My last pregnancy I didn’t get a positive until I was at least 4/5 days late

SureLook · 09/09/2025 20:49

@JHpr ah, plenty of time so 🤞🏻

EmCha · 29/09/2025 21:06

Hi how is everyone? The thread has been quiet for quite a few weeks! Hope all the pregnancies are going well and those still trying get their positives soon. x

@EmCha good morning! Yeah, it has been quiet. I've been away the last week in Salou. We just got back yesterday. So that was a nice distraction from the anxiety which is now back in full swing 🙃 I've my NIPT tonight which I'm really nervous for since that was where the MMC was discovered before.
How have you been getting on?

Hope you had a lovely time away? 😊 Got everything crossed for you for tonight!

I’m doing well thank you! Had two weeks in Greece which was so lovely and just what I needed to switch off! I haven’t used ovulation strips again this month but we did plenty of baby dancing in my suspected fertile window so I think we’ve covered it! I actually think I ovulated later than normal, probably around CD17 because I had so much EWM on that day when I was back from my holiday. I’m holding off testing because according to my app my period is due on Sunday. However, as I think I ovulated later, I imagine my period will be due a good few days after. Don’t want to test and be disappointed but also need to remind myself not to get too excited when my period doesn’t come Sunday! Going to try and hold off testing until the middle of next week.

@EmCha yeah, we had a lovely time, thanks. It was a nice break from the constant rushing around.

What CD would you normally ovulate? You've a good attitude towards it all. I always try and wait until 12dpo to avoid the rollercoaster of emotions!

Aw good!

Usually I ovulate between cd12 and 15. I have a really good feeling about this month. Something feels different…. I just feel really positive and my gut feeling is that I’m pregnant. Fingers crossed!!

@EmCha oh, amazing. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 in what way are you feeling different?

TTCFC91 · 30/09/2025 16:44

Hello everyone. My husband and I are going through fertility tests at the moment. All my bloods and scans came back normal. I'm going to get a test to ensure my fallopian tubes are open next. Doctir seems optimisitic that we'll conceive naturally. My husband's semen analysis came back with some white blood cells in it , so he is having to have a second test next month. Should we be worried about the white blood cells? When I google it says could be an infection. What kind of infection though? The consultant didn't think we needed to be worried.

I just feel positive instead of thinking it hasn’t worked haha. Felt much more relaxed this month and not as stressed. I’ve had a few twinges and pulling sensations in my abdomen the last few days and really hoping it could be implantation.

Fingers crossed this month is your month @EmCha! I’m doing well, 18 weeks now so almost halfway which is crazy. Have a teeny bump

@TTCFC91 is it a hycosy you're having done next? I've heard lots of success stories around people getting pregnant after one of them.
I just did a quick Google there and it seems that its normal to have a small amount of white blood cells in semen. Only over a certain amount is a sign of infection or inflammation. Maybe that's why the consultant isn't too concerned?

@EmCha that's great that you're more relaxed. I'm sure your holiday helped with that!

@DobryWieczor wow, that's amazing. How have you been feeling?

We have a live and kicking baby with a healthy heartbeat! Measuring exactly at 10+1. The relief ❤️
I meant to send this yesterday but I was so exhausted with relief 😭😂

DobryWieczor · 01/10/2025 10:45

@SureLook such lovely news!!! What’s your EDD then?

I’ve been feeling pretty well thank you - I had a horrid cold last week but pregnancy wise I’m doing well, sickness is gone (albeit toothpaste first thing in the morning is still my nemesis), I have a bit more energy (which is all being sapped by how hectic work is). Starting to get real, we have the anatomy scan in less than two weeks and we’re so excited and hoping all is going OK. We have gone back and forth on finding out the gender but I think we’re going to go for it

Hysterosalpingo Foam Sonography is what I'm getting done. Thanks for your reassuring message. I'm so bad for thinking the worst so when I heard he needed to do another sample it worried me. He's doing it in 4-5 weeks so hopefully there will be no/less white blood cells in the sample.
