TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

Didn’t even realise I had posted on here before, way back when! I mentioned really wanting to have a baby in certain months. Now I’ll just be happy for anything 😂

What cycle are you on @EmCha ?

Hello! I’m on cycle 4 now, cd10 today and decided not to track this month and BD every other day for the next week or so. Partner is on supplements now and I’m drinking lots of water to see if it makes a difference. Really hope this is the month for us! My period is due the day we go to Greece so if I don’t catch on this month then it’ll be an extra kick in the teeth having my period when we are away!

My close friend just called me to tell me she’s 7 weeks pregnant! 🥹 She only just started ‘unofficially trying’ last month and she’s already been blessed with a positive test. I’m absolutely over the moon for her but can’t help wonder what’s wrong with me. Half way into cycle 4 now. Praying this is the cycle for us because it would be the most amazing thing to be pregnant at the same time as my friend!

@EmCha hello! I'm doing ok, thanks. I got a 3+ on a digital CB yesterday so that's reassuring. I've also felt more tired and had low energy the last few days. I've had some nause too which I've never had before.

Ah, that's always tricky. You're happy for your friend but sad for yourself. Does she know you're trying too?

Yes she does as we’ve had a lot of conversations about my TTC journey. She was considering trying but not seriously. Basically she came off contraception but didn’t time anything. Just a case of if it happens, it happens. She was really sweet on the phone and I am happy for her. I just wonder why my body isn’t working!

Yes, us. We were also planning to conceive in 2022, 2023,and 2024, but hey fertility isn't always perfect. Hoping to be more lucky before the end of the year rather than roll into year 4 of infertility.

had tests and scans last week to see if i need fertility treatment. I was told my next appointment would be 8-12 weeks. I got a phone call today saying the doctor looked at my scans and wants to see me sooner. I am so worried and upset. 😭 Why would they need to see me earlier? I'm picturing the worst. My husband is so positive.

@TTCFC91 aww, I'm sorry to hear you're worried. Did they give any indication on the phone? Have they given you an appointment yet? Maybe it's just to have a chat about what the next steps will be and then that appointment will be in 8-12 weeks.

I had my scan this morning and there's definitely a baby in there this time! Measuring on time, and we saw the little flicker of the heartbeat. I asked about the progesterone, and they prescribed it for me. They said it only helps if bleeding is the cause of losses. It won't help if it's chromosomal or anything like that. I'm still at normal risk of miscarriage like everyone else, so not out of the woods just yet, but it's a bit reassuring, at least!

Ah amazing! Must be good to have that reassurance. Got everything crossed that baby keeps growing as he/she should. 🥰❤️

AF (and my holiday) is due in two days. I didn’t take any ovulation strips or even temp test this month. I was feeling so positive mid cycle but lately I’ve felt so down and my gut feeling is that I’m not pregnant. My friend’s pregnancy has really affected how I feel about myself and it’s hard not to compare. It just happened straight away for her. I ended up having a panic attack on Sunday night and I’ve not felt good since.

I’ve just taken a test and it was negative but I have no idea what DPO I am. Could be anywhere between 9 to 12 DPO based on previous cycles. I feel quite nauseous today which is new for me but probably all in my head. Breasts hurt as normal so never a telltale sign for me. I’ve packed a ton of tampons for my trip but will keep hoping I won’t need them. 🥺

aww @EmCha sorry to hear you’re not doing well. I felt similarly with friends’ pregnancies in the lead up to trying because I didn’t know how long it was going to take and I felt like everyone else was getting pregnant. One day I came home and my husband and I had a pregnancy announcement each to share and I just cried. But it will happen for you.

@EmCha I'm sorry to hear you're feeling upset. Panic attacks are horrible. Announcements are so hard, especially close friends. It will happen for you though ❤️
