TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

Welcome @GiraffesAtThePark and best of luck. How many will this be if you're successful?

Jessielillyjudd · 15/07/2025 15:40

Hi Ladies,

I'm new here!!! I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice. I've been TTC for the last 3 months, I usually ovulate around day 14/15 and my periods are very regular. However, this month my lh surged on day 8... this seems super early to me and I'm really worried that it will impact my chances of conceiving.

Has anyone conceived whilst ovulating this early in their cycle?

It will be my first!!

SureLook · 15/07/2025 20:15

Hi @Jessielillyjudd I haven't experienced that myself. What CD are you on now? Did you continue to test LH after CD8?

Hi, welcome! I don’t have experience of this as I’m new to TTC and only in month two! However, I know from research that as long as you DTD around CD8 then you absolutely could still get pregnant on this cycle! Just means the egg was released sooner than usual but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t lead to a successful pregnancy. Fingers crossed for you!

Temp has dipped today, only slightly but I think that probably means I’m out this cycle.

@EmCha I'm not that familiar with temping. How much of a drop? You could be implanting late 🤞🏻

It’s been 36.57 for a few days and dropped down to 36.37. Before ovulation I was under 36.4 every time I tested then after ovulation it was above 36.4 until this morning. I’d had a really rubbish nights sleep though so went back to bed for an hour and then took temp again on waking and it was up to 36.71! Now I’m super confused lol. I’ll take it again tomorrow to get a more accurate result.

its very strange! I’m usually so consistent, albeit I have only just started testing with the ovulation sticks the last few months. I am now on CD15 and haven’t had another surge since so I’m guessing it was legit.

usually my surge happens around CD14/15

Thanks 😊 This will be our third child if successful.

SureLook · 16/07/2025 23:14

@EmCha I think poor sleep can affect the result alright. Hopefully you'll get a more accurate result tomorrow.

@Jessielillyjudd hopefully just a one off random cycle 🤞🏻

@GiraffesAtThePark how exciting!

@EmCha sorry to hear that ❤️

Popping13 · 17/07/2025 18:41

Hello,

Thanks @EmCha for starting this thread. I’ve caught up from the beginning and thought I’d like to join too. Similar to you, we decided to wait to TTC, and will be officially starting from next month. Started my prenatals and all that!

I’m sorry to hear it hasn’t worked out for you this month 😞

hope you’re okay @SureLook?

SureLook · 17/07/2025 18:44

Hi @Popping13 and welcome! I'm doing OK, thank you. I'm definitely not as sad this time as my MMC. That was much more upsetting.

Well done for reading through the entire thread 👏🏻😂

Wishingforfour · 17/07/2025 19:00

Hey all, hoping you don't mind if I join the thread too. We've decided to start trying this month and I'm currently on CD3. I've been quite obsessive about TTC in the past so trying to be a bit more relaxed this time. Or at least I have to pretend to be relaxed to my husband and can vent on here 🤣

Going to try and read as much of the thread as I can to catch up xx

SureLook · 17/07/2025 19:08

@Wishingforfour welcome! Yep, you can really let the crazy out here 😂 can I take from your username that this would be baba #4?

Wishingforfour · 17/07/2025 19:56

@SureLook Yes number 4 although 2&3 are twins so only done the whole TTC thing twice. It took a little while both times so expecting it to take even longer this time now I'm a bit older. Hence trying to keep relaxed so it doesn't take over but I'm not the best at that!

I've caught up on some of the thread and so sorry to read about your blighted ovum, hope you're doing okay xx

SureLook · 17/07/2025 19:59

@Wishingforfour oh wow, twins! I think you're on another thread I'm also on now that I think about it.
How long did it take before and how old are you? I conceived DD and the MMC first try and the blighted ovum on cycle #3. I'm 37 now, 38 in November.

Thanks for the kinds words. I'm doing much better than the MMC. When I look back on that now, that was really devastating.

Popping13 · 17/07/2025 21:02

@SureLook must have been hard nonetheless but glad it isn’t as bad as last time.
our bodies are definitely preparing us for something big. Hoping we all get a positive and viable pregnancy very soon!

@Wishingforfour hello! Same - trying not to be obsessive and go with the flow (if that even is possible?)

Wishingforfour · 18/07/2025 12:38

@SureLook I haven't posted for a while I don't think so it must be another twin mama!

It took 6 months and then 9 months so just a bit above average although nothing compared to some peoples journeys obviously. It just seems a long wait when you're in it doesn't it! I'm 36, almost 37 but I was 33 when we started trying for the twins so feel old compared to that 🤣

Gosh I can't imagine how hard a MMC must have been. Sorry you've been through it with this TTC journey ❤️

@Popping13 it depends what CD I'm on 🤣 right now on CD4 I'm feeling very go with the flow but ask me again in the TWW haha.

SureLook · 18/07/2025 13:17

@Popping13 thanks! Same to you ✨️❤️

@Wishingforfour ah, sorry. I must be thinking of someone else. That's not long at all in the grand scheme of things but every month with a negative test is crushing and all consuming. It's so hard!

Thanks for the kind words. It was the shock of the MMC, I couldn't believe it. Seeing the baby lifeless on the screen was very confronting. Although, looking back on it I knew something was off the whole time. But it was still so shocking. Hopefully no more of that! Only upwards from here 🤞🏻

Popping13 · 18/07/2025 17:49

@Wishingforfour, I think you and I might be cycle buddies. I’m day 5 too!
I am usually a 27 day gal, but my last cycle was 29 days. Panicked thinking it was due to starting prenatals, as we won’t be trying actively until next month.
let’s see what this cycle brings.

EmCha · 20/07/2025 23:19

Lovely to have so many new people on the thread! I’m CD4 and I’m feeling good. I’d cut out alcohol for a few months but with it being my friend’s wedding and me being right at the start of my cycle, I decided to have a few drinks and it was really nice to not be the only one on mocktails like the last few times I’ve been out anywhere. 😂 I think I’ve been so over the top with everything TTC that it’s been ruling my life so it’s been nice to feel a bit more normal. I think I’ve needed to just chill a bit and not let it be the only thing I think about. Hoping this month may be third time lucky.

@EmCha that's so true. We can get so consumed by it all. It's a toss up between living you life and getting on with things but then also wanting everything to be perfect for TTC. I think it's easy to become so consumed by it all so I'm gald you're enjoying yourself more!
