TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

I got my period back yesterday 🥳 about four weeks since I started spotting or three and a half weeks since I took the tablets. So the countdown to TTC again is on!

I am not feeling very positive about this cycle already I had some signs of ovulation looming already on CD8 yesterday which I just feel is too early! Think my hormones are a bit out of whack at the moment.

I’ve posted lots in the past about ttc, but after years of nothing, including failed ivf, I gave up.

I’ve taken a test this morning. Is this a vvvvv faint bfp or a nasty indent? I have had indent lines with frer before but none this clear.

What do you think? I know no one can tell me definitively and I’m not looking for false hope; just people’s experiences please. Good luck to everyone ttc.

@Wishingforfour thanks! Yes, we're gonna try again this cycle. I'll start tracking OV soon. My period seems to be nearly over already. It was quite light, too. I suppose the first period post loss is always gonna be a funny one.
Hopefully early ovulation doesn't affect your chances 🤞🏻

@AlleycatMarie hi! I can definitely see that line, quite clearly. Is there colour in it in real life? When is AF due?

@SureLook unfortunately I tested again today and nothing. Think it was a very nasty indent that got my hopes up for nothing!

@AlleycatMarie aww, I'm sorry. That's a shame. I thought FRERs were fairly reliable.

I’ve always thought that in the past, but the indent lines seem to be getting worse. I’m never using them again.

Update from me:
wanted to try from next cycle (Aug) and decided to get bloods checked due to have low iron previously. Seems my thyroid is also on the lower side (normal lower range) as well as iron so I’m hoping the GP will want to test this further. Not quite sure how I feel about that and I think it’s only going to add to the anxiety now. But I guess we will have to postpone by another month.

@Popping13 will you ask the GP to investigate further? Do you want to wait until you get it checked before you start TTC?

@SureLook yes, I think so - last pregnancy my iron was about 4 or 5, so very very low and was only picked up in 3rd trimester and I was absolutely exhausted. This time I think if I know in advance then it’s best to try and get the levels up beforehand. Seeing GP next Friday to discuss.

Hi all. Just joining ttc no 2. This is first cycle. I'm 7dpo currently and got the itch.

After 3 losses we finally had our first after 2 rounds of ivf.
Atm I don't have much in the name of money after that so we are TTC with ovulation tracking for now.

How is everyone.

@Popping13 oh, wow. That is low. You must have been floored! Good idea with the GP, see what they say. I suppose it's a good idea to be as healthy as possible going into a pregnancy.

@Furbsies hello and welcome! Sorry to hear of your losses. Just finished my period and I'll be tracking OV with LH strips. I have a two and a half year old DD already and I've had two losses in a row since January. We're gonna try again and see how it goes. I've an appointment in the recurrent miscarriage clinic but it's not until March 2026 🫠 so we're going to look into private options.
When will you test? When is AF due?

Hello. My son is 20 month old now. The appointments take absolutely ages to come. It's so annoying. For us, we spent 4 months going back and forth only to be told that we'd done bloods 4 times but the correct ones have not been requested.. When we did ivf.

I'm 8dpo.so tempted to test but I know I've missed the fmu so wondering if I should test tomorrow but I have a feeling I'm out this cycle. Lets see I think I'll defo test on 10dpo AF is due 3rd August

What makes you think you're out? Just a gut feeling?

Just a gut feeling although came back from work super tired and had a nap, woke up from it and said to husband I want sushi with soya sauce.... My husband just turned around and goes "are you pregnant"

I've never in my life liked sushi. Such a bizarre and random craving. Lol so who knows

@Furbsies interesting. I crave McDonald's when I'm pregnant. I craved it a few days before my BFP. I should have known then 😂

Tested this morning at 9dpo and it's a negative. I'm not upset about it but upset about the slight period like cramping I've started feeling

I'm 1dpo today I think so the long two week wait begins!

@SureLook @Wishingforfour it could be. I wouldn't know I've had 0 symptoms whatsoever since then

Also wonder if it's normal cramping because with my son the implantation twinges were very different

Hi everyone, nice to have some new people in the thread! 👋

I’m CD12 and we are DTD every other day for the next week. Started on CD10. I’m not testing religiously this month, my body gives me enough signs that I’m ovulating so I’m going to try and not obsess over it this month and see if we have more luck. I’ve definitely been enjoying myself more this month by eating more of the foods I actually want and not said no to the occasional alcoholic drink last week. Feeling more positive this month.

Cd1 for me. Just knew my body. The cramps were period like. Very much leading me to believe it's luteal phase defect 😭

Ah I'm sorry AF came @Furbsies. How long was your leutal phase?
