TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

I’m (assuming) 9DPO. Test still very much negative. I’m just trying to imagine a second line. Will try again tomorrow!

@EmCha me too! Also wondering if I ovulated later than Premom thinks. When I used OPKs my surge was on CD15/16 but this month didn’t test because of the wedding it predicted O on CD15. So I could be a day or two behind the app if I’m following my normal pattern. Which would mean I’m only 8 or 9 DPO now. I can’t wait to get back to the UK to test…!

Ooh maybe! I wasn’t convinced I got my surge on the OPKs but the darkest test I had was 8th June making me think ovulation was likely 9th. If so then I’m 10DPO. Test is still very much negative.

The TWW is a killer isn't it? When will you both test again?

I’m going to test every morning now. I’m trying to stay hopeful but I understand I’m unlikely to get a positive this cycle.

@EmCha when is AF due?

With me having the weirdly long cycle last month, I’m a bit unsure of when to expect it. I’m going to guess it’ll be a 26-28 day cycle and I’m on CD23.

@EmCha yeah, it's a bit harder to predict this month. Let's see what the next few days bring!

@SureLook I get home on Saturday so will test then. AF due Mondayish. DH has expressed supreme confidence in the quality of his swimmers and is adamant I’m pregnant already, on no evidence whatsoever 😆

@DobryWieczor I think all the DHs have that confidence 😂😂

Just took a test again 🤦‍♀️ still very much negative but weirdly ovulation test (green) looking darkish… 🤔

Hmmm @EmCha could be something but let's give the HCG test another couple of days 🤞🏻

Still negative at suspected 12DPO. I’ve accepted it’s a no this month and just feel ready for AF to show up now.

Sorry @EmCha I would generally take a negative at 12dpo as being out this month. Will you test again or just wait for AF?

Sorry @EmCha. The TWW is not fun at all. My first one was especially dreadful. Allow yourself to feel what you’re feeling. I did always find that I felt really good when AF came because it meant being closer to the next cycle.

Sorry to hear @EmCha. I haven’t tested yet. I’ve just arrived back and I’m so tired and achy that I can’t tell if AF is due or I’m just exhausted from the travel. Part of me doesn’t want to test because I’m so certain I’m out but until I test there’s a tiny glimmer of hope.

@LeafCorner I'm not too bad, thanks. I had Covid so I had to rearrange my follow-up scan for Tuesday coming instead. Between Covid and potty training DD I've kept myself busy! How are you doing? How many weeks are you now?x

I caved and couldn’t wait. Am I going mad or is this pretty unmistakable?
