TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

Not pregnant! As suspected. So hopefully AF will arrive soon.

AF still not here and now I’m wondering if I should be concerned. My cycle is always like clockwork which makes it easy to track when I ovulate too. The time we are finally ready to start trying for a baby, this has happened. I’m such an over thinker and worrying if this is how it’s going to be moving forward. The weirdest thing is the sore boobs which make it feel like it’s due but it’s no where to be seen.

It's really normal to have an odd cycle here or there. Is there any chance you got a false negative as you didn't use FMU? The longer your cycle, the later it is likely that you ovulated. I'm just wondering if you didn't ovulate until later, then you may have only been 10dpo when you testest and therefore the line may not show in the evening?

@EmCha I've been reading about this happening to other women as soon as they start TTC. Weren't you travelling recently? Sometimes travel can throw your cycle off. I wouldn't worry about a one off longer or shorter cycle. Keep an eye on it and if it becomes a pattern then maybe speak to your GP. I'm sure it's just a random one off though and everything is fine!

Also, those digitals need quite a high level of hCG if I recall correctly. It might be that it was too soon to detect. Can you get hold of a first response?

I guess maybe! 🤔 Wishing I bought the two pack now. 😂 I’m away in Edinburgh this weekend but go back home to Yorkshire today so will check with my cheap tests when I’m back. Thanks x

yes I was but my cycle is never usually affected. It’s all so odd. I wonder if the anticipation of wanting to try has done something to mess with my hormones and thrown the period off track 😂

CD 31. 4 days late. Tests are negative. What is going on? 🤯

@EmCha aww, that's is so frustrating. I'm not really sure to be honest. Hopefully just a one off randomly long cycle?

@EmCha hopefully just a one off 🤞🏻 I'm good, thanks. I got my dye stealer yesterday so I'm happy 😂 I've one more cheap test left and then I'm gonna leave it at that. There's no point in continuing to test, especially when I know they mean nothing in terms of the viability of a pregnancy I did a digital as well and got 2-3. Sore boobs and very tired in the evenings. My sleep is affected as well, waking up before 6am most days 🥴

Ooh yay! Yeah exactly. I have everything crossed that this one sticks. 🥹💕 Eek hope you manage to get some better sleep soon!

AF is officially here in full force now. 😂 So relieved!

Thanks @LeafCorner I'm ok thanks. I had some spotting yesterday so I was up the walls. I've calmed down a bit now. It faded as the day went on and there hasn't been anymore since yesterday evening. My EPAU doesn't offer reassurance scans unless you've had two losses. If I'm still worried I might get bloods done to check my HCG. I'll be six weeks on Monday. So let's see! How's all with you?

Hope everything is okay. A bit of spotting is usually fine so fingers crossed. Would you consider a private scan? My sister in law had one at 7 weeks for reassurance.

Thanks @EmCha I've got a private scan booked for seven weeks. I'll see how I go over the next few days. If I'm still worried I might get my HCG levels checked.

Sorry you're going through this @SureLookI know anecdotal stories aren't always reassuring but I had spotting with my second on and off from 5-11 weeks. Baby is now snuggled next to me on the sofa 😊 I was terrified but as long as you're not in pain, it's usually safe.

That is nice to hear @Wiggleyfingers thanks. I haven't had anymore spotting since yesterday so hopefully that's it now 🤞🏻
