TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

Hi @EmCha I'm good thanks. Boobs are a bit sore and I'm tired in the evenings but overall not too bad, yet 😂 yep, I tested again today. I'm gonna do every two days to allow the HCG to increase. I'm a bit paranoid since my MMC.

@EmCha I tested again today at 16dpo. I think I'll keep testing until I get my dye stealer. Although I know that means nothing really in relation to the viability of a pregnancy.

Aw I really hope I get my positive this year too! My period is due within the next few days and I’m willing it to come which is an absolute first for me haha just so excited to start this next cycle so we can try! 😊

I posted here last cycle and this one has been weird. I randomly threw up a couple of times today but had a negative test. I just did another test and idk what happened but it didn’t form properly however there is a line in the test part of the test… I read yesterday that colour can only be picked up here if there is hcg in the urine. What do you ladies think? I will be retesting tomorrow now as I threw away the test cup 🙃😭 it’s so frustrating it didn’t go all the way ugh!

@chlxe97 I would just disregard that test. I have seen tests like that before that seem positive and then another test is completely negative. I would just test again in the morning. Let us know how you get on!

So the one month I’m willing my period to come, it’s a day late. My boobs are soooo sore. If I hadn’t been away during my fertile window I’d have been convinced I was pregnant. Wish it would hurry up so we can get started with this new cycle. 😂

We skipped this cycle too, but now I'm having doubts about if it's even the right decision for our family to have another one 😭 it will be tighter on finances, the girls are getting older and we can leave the house without bringing everything with us, enjoy more grown up days out like to castles etc. But on the other side, I always wanted a big chaotic family and the girls would love a sibling. The thought of not being pregnant again makes me so sad and the idea I'm done with the baby snuggles is unimaginable! Such a head vs heart decision. I'm 34 so haven't got loads of time to decide but thought I would let you know in case I go AWOL 😂 head is a bit scrambled.

@Wiggleyfingers I think a lot of people feel this way about their third. Your kids are older, more independent, life is getting easier etc. I think if you were done you'd know. What does your DP think?

Last summer I raised the conversation and his answer was that he wasn't keen, but would if it meant a lot to me. I decided not to go ahead as I wanted us both on board 100%. I had started to put the idea to bed and accept it wasn't going to happen for us. Then in January he did a U turn and said he really wanted it. We've been waiting for my promotion (which has been secured for September) so could start this month....

@Wiggleyfingers I think you'd regret it and always wonder about it if you didn't go for it. I was in my new job a week and I was pregnant on DD. If DH is on board and the promotion is secured I think the stars are aligning.....

Ok so my period is now two days late… 🤔 I find it really weird that it hasn’t come yet when my boobs are this sore. I highly doubt I’m pregnant as I was away in my fertile week. We DTD on CD20 but my app says ovulation would have been CD16 so unless I ovulated really late I really can’t see it happening. I can’t remember if we DTD before I went away. 😂 I’m away this weekend and wondering whether to pop out and get a pregnancy test just to make sure. I just want it to arrive so that this next cycle can begin as it’ll be the one where we officially start trying. It’s like my body is teasing me now. 😂

@EmCha so typical that your cycle isn't playing ball when you're ready to start trying. It's probably just a random one off. Hopefully it comes soon so you can get going!

Oooh Emcha were you using any other forms of tracking, other than the app? I guess if you ovulated late on CD18 then there's a chance you could have caught?! I'm excited for you - go and get a test and update us asap ☺️

Nope just the app! I went away so didn’t have my ovulation tests. Never thought to test when home as assumed I’d be well out of the fertile window. I had the usual EWD around what I expected to be my fertile window so I’ll be really shocked if I caught on after my trip. I’ve just been and bought a test. Got a clearblue digital so there’s no questions. Just need to wait until I need to pee now. 😂 I am not expecting a positive!
