TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

Just some warmth and cramping down there since 6dpo which was what prompted me to test. My nipples were also super achy this morning. I felt two waves of nausea today and I was so tired after work that I fell asleep in the bus. Other than that, just peachy! 😅😅😅 Trying not to symptom spit but I'm aware of what goes on in my body and I take mental notes. How about you?

@TheOneGodLoves sounds like promising symptoms! 🤞🏼 do you track OPKs or BBT?

I’m sure I am out this month, had more spotting this morning and I have had period like cramps for days but worse today, sensitive boobs today but not full or heavy feeling. Just feels like AF is coming tbh!

@lauraxoxo hopefully AF won't be too bad and you can move onto the next cycle x

@lauraxoxo oh no, I do not track OPKs or BBT. I just ensure we DTD every other day during my fertile window. I tested this morning and all I got was an indent line. AF due on Thursday. Still holding out hope.

Well I thought AF was starting but all spotting has stopped.
One app says I’m due tomorrow, and other app says due Saturday! (Saturday would be more usual for me as would be normal 15 LH phase) we will see….

@SureLookhow were your OPKs today? Close to peak yet?

@lauraxoxo any chance it might be implantation bleeding? Yes, my OPKs are getting darker and I have EWCM since yesterday. I was only able to test once today cause we were out and about but I should be able to test twice over the next two days so hopefully I'll catch it 🤞🏻

I love following along with your journeys! I’m on cd7 today but fly to Romania on Thursday so pretty sure we won’t be able to try this month unless I ovulate earlier than normal. I’ll be away from cd12 - cd19 which is literally the most important time. 🤦‍♀️ Bring on June! 😂

You never know @EmCha you've been tracking your ovulation in preparation for TTC haven't you? When have you been ovulating?

Usually day 16 so pretty sure we are out this month. I have plenty of fun things planned to distract me though. 🥰

Just curious because I can’t remember everyone’s story but are many people on here TTC their first baby or do the majority of you already have children?

This would be my first so I’m anxious about how it will go and hoping it won’t be a difficult journey for us. I have a cyst on my ovary that’s been there for a while (expected endometrioma) but I found out this week that it’s shrunk quite a bit which is some positive news. Just hoping it won’t cause us any issues with fertility.

I have a two and a half year old DD. Cycle 3 TTC #2 after an MMC in January. Fell pregnant first try on both pregnancies so I'm hoping to catch soon! Did they say anything about the cyst in relation to fertility? That's great that it's shrank anyway.

As they’re calling it an endometrioma, it suggests I have endometriosis so could well have issues with fertility if I’ve got endometriosis in multiple places. However, they’ve said I won’t know until I try. I don’t have any endometriosis symptoms so I’m really hoping that the cyst is isolated and not part of a bigger endometriosis picture. The cyst itself hopefully won’t cause issues as it’s not massive and I have the other ovary that’s perfectly fine.

@EmCha fingers crossed! I'm hoping there's nothing wrong since the D&C and it's just taking time for my body to settle.

Hopefully the cyst doesn't interfere since it's just isolated. I had that fear before my DD, that I'd struggle to conceive. I'm 37 now so I'm aware age isn't on my side!

Onto cycle #4 today as AF appeared. I’m going to use ovulation tests this month to work this it, hopefully this cycle with be it 🤞

@hopingfor4 sorry to hear AF has arrived. I started using OPKs this cycle and it's given me a bit of reassurance knowing when I ovulate.

Good luck for this cycle @hopingfor4. Is your name suggesting that this will be your fourth baby?
I've been focusing on revamping my diet, in preparation for our first cycle of trying this month. FW is next week which is so exciting! And I'm on day 3 of no processed sugar which is a miracle in itself 😂 I normally barely go an hour without some kind of chocolate/biscuit/cake!

Yes @Wiggleyfingers we already have 3, a 9yr old, 7yr old and 4yr old. Youngest was a lockdown baby and homeschooling when they were closed, so we’ve waited a longer gap this time as I really struggled mentally with that whole time. But now we are ready it’s just not happening as quickly this time round (I’m now 32, so did have the others in my 20s but I wouldn’t say 32 is even close to ‘old’)
