TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

Please send some baby dust my way. Dtd every second day from CD 9 to CD 21. So seven times. Currently on CD 21. Never got solid smiley on clearblue digital ovulation kit but hoping it just never picked up my LH surge. Period is due in 4-5 days. Really hoping for my rainbow baby.

Best of luck ladies!!! I was a week late so I had some hope but I’m trying to remain positive, I won’t have a December baby and there’s always next month 🙏🏻 With PCOS even getting a period somewhat regularly is a blessing in itself

Hi all, I have a 5 year old gorgeous boy and after a false alarm health scare earlier in February decided to come off my pill. Got a little worried thinking age wise and the thought of never having another child and too large of an age gap with our boy. Time has just run away! The thing is I had a chat with hubby about coming off the pill and letting fate decide, he had concerns over us coping with two and that I suffered from quite severe post natal depression (without realizing until I was out the other side) he was worried it would put a big strain on our relationship and not cope. We never really ended the conversation or went on contraception so assumed he had decided on letting fate happen if it was meant to be. Earlier this month my friend asked us both what we used for protection and he answered the pill, I corrected and said nope not anything for a few months like I said which he seemed surprised but hadn’t brought it up again. I felt a bit off this morning, due on this weekend and I’ve done a test on the second wee and there is a line!!! I feel super happy but I’m really worried about my husbands reaction or how to approach it. I know he is a worrier and over thinker about everything.

sorry for the long post, probably seems so ridiculous after 17 years together we can’t seem to communicate in some areas properly! I would be due 4th January 2026!

@MB1619 congratulations, lovely news! Contraception is just as much your husbands responsibility as it is yours. He knew you had come off the pill so if he really didn't want a second child then he should have worn a condom. Just tell him when you're ready and let him feel his emotions. I'm sure he'll come around x

Congratulations on the pregnancy! I’m sorry to hear hubby isn’t taking it well, hopefully he will come around to the idea soon. As SureLook said, contraception is as much his responsibility too! xx

So according to my app, my period is due in 3 days. I’m praying it holds off a bit longer this month because if it comes when my app says it will then I’ll be out of the country (not with my partner) in my fertile week. ☹️ I don’t want to wait yet another month to start trying!

Thanks but unfortunately I think it’ll be here any day. Got some tell tale signs that it’s on its way very soon. Looks like June might have to be our starting month. ☹️

Haha true! My gorgeous nephew was born on Wednesday so I’m keeping distracted with newborn cuddles. 🥰

How is everyone doing? AF arrived on Sunday so May is definitely going to be out for us. Getting used to the idea of starting in June now though. 🙈 Just hard when we’ve been wanting to start TTC since Dec and it’s been pushed back this far. 😂

Ah that's such a shame @EmChabut there will be no stopping you next month! I'm still undecided if we will try this month or wait until next. If AF arrives tomorrow as expected, due date will be my DHs birthday...not that they ever really arrive on time! My first was 3 weeks early by CS and my second 2 weeks late VBAC. I've never had a baby born in the month they were due to!

If I were you I wouldn’t hold off because of that, as like you say, when do they ever come on time? 🥰

I'm all good. On CD10 now and properly doing the OPKs this month. We're also following SMEP so let's see how that goes 🤞🏻

@SureLook i’m on CD13 and also following SMEP. Fingers crossed for us!

The TWW is soo long, but i find this stage quite nice because there’s so much hope and anticipation.

I am currently 9dpo. I have been testing since 6dpo. Yes, Yeah Yeah.. Too early.. I couldn't help myself, lol. We DTD some hours before I ovulated. Do I have any cycle sister?
