TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

@chlxe97 sorry to hear, baby dust ✨️ I've been using One Step from Amazon. But a girl on here told me that the thinner ones have much lighter lines. Apparently the wider ones are more reliable. Sorry, not a great answer 🙈

I use One Step strips from eBay. I got a pack of 50!

I’m having really strong ovulation signs so going to take a test now and compare to the tests over the past few days. I suspect I’ll get my positive today so I’ll share a photo of how the tests look.

The temptation to start trying this month is so strong but we need to hold off until May. 🙈😂

As expected, I think I have my peak. 😊 Can recommend these One Step tests for ovulation.

So I thought my ovulation test at midday was dark, this evening’s one is even darker! Defo got my peak which is exciting! Bang on 14 days into my cycle. I wonder if next month will be the same.

Hello ladies. So I have been a ghost reader on mumsnet since I had a chemical in Feb but now I'm ready to jump on the ttc train again. My period ended yesterday although I am still spotting after the fifth day which has been the occurrence since the chemical. My per has been less than days for as long as I can remember. This is my first ttc. Still trying to get used to the acronyms😁😁😁 I haven't used any ovulation kits but I track my EWCM so I know the possible days of ovulation. My fertile window begins on Friday! Let's see how it goes.

So does it mean that you already ovulated with the lines being so dark?

Woaaaah that is a hell of a line!! How exciting! Must be hard to resist temptation to try this month...

@TheOneGodLoves sorry to hear of your chemical. There's quite a few of us on this thread who have had losses. When the test line on the OPK is darker than the control line, it means that ovulation will most likely happen within the next 24-36 hours 😊

Nope, so with the ovulation tests, it’s only a positive if the test line is darker than the control line. Once you get that it means you’ve got your peak and will ovulate within the following 12-36 hours. 😊

I'm ovulating too, but waiting until next month to start trying. It's so tempting but I know it makes so much sense to hold on a bit longer. We can do this!

Glad I’m not the only one! 😊 I just hope that I don’t ovulate when I’m away from home next month! If my period can hold off until 1st May then I should be fine but I think it’ll come sooner. 😂

Found this interesting...Top two tests were yesterday, the bottom three are every 3 hours ish today. I wasn't going to test again today as the one I took at 3pm was fairly light. I would have missed my peak if I hadn't! Wonder if it will be light again by tomorrow morning.

It’s so interesting to see! My peak lasted for two days! It’s gone light again now.

AF came this morning. I'm glad I didn't test now and I just waited. I'm not feeling down like I felt last month. I had some quite strong cramps on Friday and Saturday which is unusual for me before AF. I think things are still settling down after my MMC.

Sorry @SureLook, am I right in thinking you didn't track ovulation this month? Crossing everything that next cycle sees you with a positive.

Thanks @Wiggleyfingers I ran out of OPKs right when I started to get some colour in my test. I'm going to properly track next month and see how it goes. I won't let myself run out again 😂 I didn't properly track at all with my other two pregnancies but clearly I need to now. What tests do you all use?

Really sorry to hear @SureLook, glad it’s felt easier this month. Onto the next cycle! I use the easy@home strips from Amazon and the clear blue advanced digital. I’ve been using both, but once the clear blue ones run out, i’ll just use the cheapies.
