TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

I hope everyone is doing well - I can see I have a lot of posts to catch up on.
We intended to skip this month to avoid a December due date however that didn’t happen. I’m now super anxious about testing positive. I’m only 5dpo so I’ve got another 9 days to go.
I have tried to promise myself I won’t test until the day I’m due this time around

LeafCorner · 09/04/2025 11:00

@Thisismeme i’m 7 DPO, so hopefully we can keep each other sane! I think i’m going to test at 12 DPO though because i’m not sure i can wait until i’m due. I considered the December baby issue too, but we agreed that in the grand scheme of things, we could waste a good egg, it’s just one day of the year and aside from the busy-ness of the season, it’s actually a really magical time of the year.

@LeafCorner I think the chances of actually having a Christmas Day or Boxing Day baby even with this due date are slim.
When we were trying for our first I tested early all the time. Trouble is it’s not always that helpful. Still this is my first cycle so let’s see how long that will power lasts. I’ve only got one pregnancy test in so that does help.
Is this your first?

Hey! Just introducing myself here as I’m currently TTC, newly married and very new to this stuff (about 6 months into TTC) I got diagnosed with PCOS recently which was an absolute downer but you have to pick yourself up and dust yourself off. It’ll be so nice to chat with ladies in a similar position as TTC feels like such a lonely journey at times 🩷

Well ladies, after a missed miscarriage in December that didn’t resolve until Feb we decided to try for the first time late last month despite getting married early last week. We arrived home yesterday and my period hadn’t arrived yet which id put down to all the travel as we were long haul.. much to my surprise two lines appeared immediately 🥹

hopingfor4 · 10/04/2025 08:22

11dpo today and a neg test, due on Saturday - anyone had a negative test at 11dpo and still then got a positive a day or 2 later? Feeling like this might not be out month again

lauraxoxo · 10/04/2025 08:24

@KT199congratulations Mama! x

I’m in the exact same boat, 11DPO and a negative test this morning 💔 sending baby dust x

Ah @KT199 I'm so so delighted for you! Congratulations on the wedding as well x

I’m on CD 10 so deciding whether to start trying this month… it’s tempting but I think we are going to hold off for a few reasons. Firstly the December baby, I think it would be such an expensive time of year, but also because I’m going away next month to volunteer at a dog sanctuary. If we were blessed enough to get a positive first try then I’d be uncomfortable travelling so early pregnant. I’m hoping that my period holds off a few days when it’s due at the end of the month so that we can start trying in May. As things stand, I’ll be away when ovulating, so just need a few extra days this cycle haha! Otherwise it’ll be June.

This is first time keeping and taking pictures of my clearblue ovulation sticks. does this look promising that ovulation is near? I'm only learning how to look at the sticks at the moment .

@TTCFC91 probably a daft question.. but are these the sticks for Clearblue digital test?

Yes they are. I know you follow the flashing and solid smiley faces. I've been doing that for a while. Last month I got continuous adding faces fkr 15 days and no solid so I wanted to see if you're able to track by the lines also. Maybe you're not.

Ooh okay, I have no idea if you could read by the lines tbh! Was just curious as I’m on my first cycle using them x

Wiggleyfingers · 13/04/2025 10:35

I've never used those, I've only ever used the internet cheapies from eBay. I can really recommend those as you got a bundle cheap so don't feel too guilty about using them a few times a day! The second from the bottom looks almost positive though?

GardenDaffodils · 13/04/2025 20:40

Hi all! I have officially taken my last pill to try and see how my cycles go before officially ttc. Easy breezy 2023-me picked an August wedding and Sept honeymoon without knowing or thinking about all of this. A July 2026 baby would be absolutely ideal but I know we'd have to be mega lucky.

Does anyone have any good podcasts/books they'd recommend to the clueless?

LeafCorner · 14/04/2025 09:59

Sorry @TTCFC91 i’m struggling to see from the image, but if helpful - when i’ve used cheap sticks and the clear blue, i do open them and they do seem to correlate. So if i get two strong lines on the cheapie, if i open up the clear blue, it will also have two strong lines. However, they’re not meant to be used like that, so i would recommend ordering a pack of cheapies on Amazon and uploading them into something like the Premom app. It could be that you’re missing your peak, so with those, you can test multiple times a day.

Hi all - looks like no Christmas baby for me. Negative tests at 12 and 13 DPO and my BBT has started to drop. AF is due in 3 days. Onto cycle 3 i guess!

SureLook · 15/04/2025 11:13

@LeafCorner sorry to hear that. Baby dust ✨️

chlxe97 · 15/04/2025 11:34

@LeafCorner same for me 💔 sending baby dust

What ovulation tests do you ladies use? I’ve been told easy @ home are best by a friend but just wanted to see what you all thought. Bonus points if you have pcos 🙏🏻😭
