As the title suggests, if you’re over 35 and TTC your first, I’d love to hear from you! Would be nice to hear from a few of us in the same boat 🙂

I’ve felt so sick and tired past two days, and was actually sick yesterday, that I tested. Line was so vvvvfaint I had to ask AI if it could see anything 😅 It did, but I need to try and wait a couple of days. I’m the worst for waiting.

FlyHighSky72 · 17/05/2025 08:31

@Thisisouryear2025replied on the other thread!

Clara202 · 17/05/2025 09:36

@Thisisouryear2025 9 months trying. I’ve been taking 3 CoQ10 tablets (600mg) since January. I had been taking 200mg of it since November. I’ve been on Proceive max since the beginning also.

Tentative congratulations! How many dpo are you?

@Clara202 That stuff is apparently good for egg quality. Don’t give up you are still in normal range. If all tests have come back fine it will happen. Sometimes it takes over a year. I hope it doesn’t for any of us!

Thisisouryear2025 · 17/05/2025 09:40

@HollyGolightly4 how are you??

FlyHighSky72 · 17/05/2025 09:40

@Clara202im on Proceive max and coQ10 too - I don’t make a drink with the PM though - just take it like a shot of powder 😂😂

HollyGolightly4 · 17/05/2025 09:58

Bit shit tbh @Thisisouryear2025 . Another negative test this morning and brown blood- AF is here. I wish it'd just been in line with my other cycles and I wouldn't have got my hopes up!

I'm going out shopping today which could be dangerous 🤣. The only positive is I've been losing weight so hopefully I'll find some new clothes to make me feel fabulous!!

Thank you for checking in, how are you?

FlyHighSky72 · 17/05/2025 10:02

Well done on losing weight. It’s not easy is it. I was lucky enough to be able to afford to go on Wegovy last year, and buying new (affordable) active wear is a sure fire way of feeling good. It’s just so comfy 😄 god bless whoever brought comfy trainers back into fashion as well lol. Treat yourself.

Clara202 · 18/05/2025 15:02

@FlyHighSky72 I make a drink of it but I make it as small as possible so that I can down it in one! I can’t see myself being able to take it in powder form!

How is everyone doing?

Clara202 · 29/05/2025 19:55

How is everyone? We have been approved for public funding fertility treatment. Happy to have it but disappointed that it hasn’t happened naturally in the meantime. Really hoped we’d get there. There’s still some time I guess.

Thisisouryear2025 · 29/05/2025 20:40

Hey @Clara202 how are you feeling? I can’t remember how long you have been trying for? That’s great you’ve been approved for NHS help, do you know what the wait time is? Hoping you are ok, just think of this as the back up plan now and it’s secured & there is still time for it to happen naturally x

All my tests came back good, except that my AMH is the lowest end of normal for my age so my egg reserve is on the lower side. Been told to keep trying and my GP is going to refer me for NHS treatment too. We are only cycle 6 so we want to give it at least a year of trying before actually going down that route I think.

I am now worried they won’t entertain us though because I’m not immune to rubella and they want me to have two doses of the MMR vaccine but I’m not overly happy to do that whilst trying naturally.

Not sure what to do, I was vaccinated as a kid but I just clearly didn’t respond

Clara202 · 29/05/2025 22:11

@Thisisouryear2025 We’ve been trying for almost 10 months. Under the HSE, once you get approved I’m told things move quite quickly so we will likely be called in a month or two.
What is your Amh number? It really isn’t that important, so many people conceive with a low count.

OP posts:
Clara202 · 29/05/2025 22:12

@Thisisouryear2025 also I would be inclined to just get the rubella vaccine sooner rather than later. You won’t get treatment without it (if needed) so I wonder is it better to be ahead of the curve?

OP posts:
Thisisouryear2025 · 29/05/2025 22:14

@Clara202 Oh wow that’s still within normal parameters though, maybe you will conceive in the next two or three months!! Do either of you have any known fertility issues? As you still have a chance to get lucky if not! That’s so good you’re managed to get approved, do you mind letting me know what that process consisted of please and how long it took?

Clara202 · 30/05/2025 11:39

@Thisisouryear2025 I’m not in the UK so it’s a different process here so I’m not sure if it’ll be of any help to you?
Thd only known issue we have is 1% morphology but I suspect low progesterone on my side also, I will be trying to get that checked out soon.

OP posts:
Thisisouryear2025 · 30/05/2025 11:52

@Clara202 Ah ok yes it’s likely a different process. I think I’m just going to give it the full year as we have no known issues. Is your OH doing anything to help his morphology as there are supplements and things you can do to help? Impyrl is amazing. May be worth a try. How come you suspect low progesterone?

HollyGolightly4 · 30/05/2025 22:06

Still plodding on over here! I've decided to chill out a bit and have had some prosecco this evening because the whole being sober hasn't got me anywhere 🤣 but we're in the midst of it at the minute, so I'm just trying to chill.

Thisisouryear2025 · 31/05/2025 08:47

@HollyGolightly4 Go you! Prosecco won’t hurt a thing, I’ve had two glasses of wine last night & im going to Cyprus all inclusive tomorrow for a week so I will just be enjoying rather than holding back. I’m also trying to relax about it all. Stats actually for being over 35 are that it normally takes between 1-2 years to conceive & only 75% of us conceive within a year so yeah I can’t moan right now at 6 months! As long as we are generally healthy enjoying life with a glass or two isn’t going to change anything
