I had that the first month after coming off the pill, it was awful! Hope you’re feeling ok

Bless you, thank you.
Dig deep and plod on and see what happens!

MummyV2021 · 17/12/2024 09:47

Looks like I am in the right thread after all ladies...

So I did a CB Digi this morning as was hoping it would show 2-3 weeks now but it actually said 'not pregnant'. So looks like I am actually having a CP 😢 I had half prepared myself given all the mixed results on my tests but given how much stronger my FRER was yesterday I had slightly gotten my hopes up so am pretty gutted to get that result this morning. I just hope AF shows her face quickly so we can get back to trying again!

Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa · 17/12/2024 11:24

Not sure I will be "in" after all this January, still waiting on period to show up after coming off the pill, getting horrible headaches (part of pill withdrawal the GP thinks), and we've just got so much going on at the moment that we're being pretty grumpy with each other. Sat down the other night and had a good chat but also agreed (instigated by me, and I still think we're right to do this but I'm miserable about it!) that we shouldn't start TTC until we're in a better place. I'm not expecting that to take long, we're solid in general and it's a lot of external circumstances causing it, but we still need to be better with dealing with tiredness and stress together, before we try and add a baby in!

KittyFantastica · 17/12/2024 11:27

Sorry to see that @MummyV2021 Chemicals are so cruel.

I had some red spotting last night and have had a few low, dull cramps, so just waiting for AF to show up now. She's due Thursday. I'm already impatient. The waiting, waiting, waiting drives me mad. I need another holiday to forget it :(.

hey everyone,
no idea what’s going on with me! No idea on where my cycle is due to having mirena out, was expecting a bit of a progesterone drop and feeling hormonal due to this but it’s been kinda the opposite.
spotty, nauseous, tender
ive started ovulation tracking to see if that helps me understand what’s going on!

When I had mine out in the summer I had a few weeks of symptoms, mainly a mega three day migraine, and then settled. All has been very consistent since. I was tracking temp from then and it really helped me get a sense of what was going on. Hope it stabilises for you soon!

Sorry to hear that Sofa but I think you’re right, TTC can be taxing enough without trying to do it if you’re already not in the best of places with your partner. Hoping the time off will be good for both of you!

Oh no i’m so sorry to hear 😕 have you taken any other tests today to see if it’s accurate? I know the digital ones aren’t as sensitive sometimes.

Take care of yourself and let us know how you get on x

Hey! My fertile window is approaching and so the obsessive thoughts are coming in my head a bit and worries about cycle, LP , etc

MummyV2021 · 17/12/2024 13:32

@MyGardenDaisies thank you lovely.

@Kateb149 thanks lovely! I do have another FRER but not sure I see the point in wasting it as I got 1-2 weeks on CB digital on Sunday so the fact it's negative today and not at least still 1-2 weeks feels like a pretty strong indicator sadly. Just going to wait for AF now - hopefully not too long!!

I’m so sorry, i’ve been thinking of you as I know your tests have been positive and then negative a couple of times now. It must be so confusing to know how to feel x

Oh no 🤦🏼‍♀️ I hate that! You’re not tracking anything this cycle are you? Are you still going to try and DTD as much as you can in your fertile period or just completely relax and see what happens?
I know it’s not always doable but try and keep busy and stay away from google 😅 I did a lot of googling last night and made myself feel panicked for no reason so i’m going to make a conscious effort to stop now!

Cinnamonbunn · 17/12/2024 14:31

@MyGardenDaisies hey! I’m feeling similar, I’m still testing negative but it should be in the next five days. Sometimes I wish I was naive it to it all. How are you feeling? I think it is helping me to have a ‘plan’ and accept that everything else is beyond my control.

MummyV2021 · 17/12/2024 15:11

@Kateb149 yeah my head is a bit all over the place if I'm honest! I don't think I'm going to track ovulation this cycle either - need to step away from testing and tracking and resist testing until I've actually missed my next AF (although I guess that will be hard to know given that the CP is already messing up timings in this current cycle).

I still want to try this cycle but need to take the pressure off a bit I think! Xx

It’s understandable ❤️ i think it’s a good idea to stop tracking everything to give yourself a bit of a mental break from it all.

Hopefully AF arrives for you soon so you know where you are and can take it from there xx

Hen2000 · 17/12/2024 18:21

I'm sorry @mummyV2021 completely normal to feel all over the place with the mixed tests.

Cd12 here and forgot to do an ovulstion test until this evening but my urine was pretty diluted so it likely won't be accurate. The first half of the month goes so much quicker than the 2ww!! Last month I ovulated cd24 which was late so interested to see what it is this month!

Lou98x · 17/12/2024 19:50

Anyone else feel like everyone is announcing pregnancies these days?! It’s starting to get to me to be honest..

And I’m dreading all the inevitable Christmas announcements next week!

MyGardenDaisies · 17/12/2024 20:01

@Kateb149 Yes we will still TTC in the sense of DTD as much as we can around ovulation.

I always get peak on CD17, so know the dates when we have to try.

@Cinnamonbunn that helps me too. I know in 4 weeks I’ll have either a plan or confirmation from my gynaecologist and SA that all is fine with us and it’s just a matter of time.
I was feeing great up until this week, when it’s the fertile days approaching.

I have had a lot of stress at work so that hasn’t helped.

That’s good, at least your cycles are regular so you know when you need to start trying! And you’ve got your tests booked in soon so try not to worry, as they’ll be really helpful i’m sure x

I think it becomes a lot more noticeable when you’re TTC and have been trying for a little while. It’s so hard isn’t it? Especially when I had hoped I could announce my pregnancy at Christmas which isn’t going to happen any more. Our time will come though i’m sure ❤️

Well I’m going to bow out of this thread for now as I got my BFP this morning. In total shock as it’s only our first cycle trying and I’m nearly 37!

Good luck everyone!

My cycle is very regular and I know when I ovulated and we dtd alot that week so why on earth is ot not working. This is so frustrating. Im going through a very upsetting and stressful time atm and my friends are telling me maybe its the reason and that maybe its not the right time for pregnancy while Im so upset but its all we want so these words aren't helpful. Sorry for ranting Im just upset and disappointed 😞 😔

It’s really hard and I completely understand how you feel. Each month I feel like I must be doing something wrong… but just remember that there’s only something like 25% chance of you getting pregnant each month even if you do everything perfectly. Unfortunately it just takes a bit longer for some people (me included!) but our time will come.
It’s good to have a rant sometimes and that’s what these pages are for! X

@Kateb149 put it better than I could - a lot of the time it's not a case of 'doing' anything wrong, it's just rolling the dice and not landing on a 6 this month.

To be honest when you start looking at all of the things that need to align perfectly in order for a pregnancy to even make it to a positive test, I sometimes wonder how anyone ever manages to conceive!
